I've been in a network game for 5 or 6 seasons and also started up another network game for 3 of us. I have copied the WWW2 tactic as I couldnt load in the original due to my friend being the host and set the runs and through balls of players myself, etc. He now thinks Im cheating cause Im using that tactic and coming on this to look for decent players like Chotios, Selenovic, Kallstrom, etc. I think Im just taking advice to improve, but he reckons its pure cheating. I must admit I am annialating him now. whcih ever striker I have they usuallly bag for example 40 goals in 27 games, etc. Thats not Tsigko but any decent striker like Lee Hughes of WBA or That bayern Munich Striker that begins with a K.

well, IMO it is sort of cheating. but that's my opinion only, and not shared by most people. i think it's cheating yourself, because the best part of the game IMO is making tactics that work, and finding your own players. i believe that makes success more rewarding than buying players off a list off the net and using some tactic you found off the net.

I Echo what Parra Power said. I knew of Chiotis and others before I came here. I don't share all of my good players on here just the ones people know of and the occasional ones that people don't know of i.e Josef El Dana ;)
Just say to him that it is just advice or something, also get him to join and post in here ;)

He has wiped our saved game:rolleyes: I enjoy the game more after coming here. You at least find things that you were doing wrong and correct them.

I dont think it's cheating at all - I think if anything it makes it more realistic!!!

In real life, managers can talk to there friends in the footballing world and look on the internet so whats the difference between this and that? We are almost each others scouts.

Tell your sore-loser friend to come here himself or find his own ****ing forum if he think it gives you an unfair advantage.

i dont think coming on here is just a easy to find help guide incase you need a certain player for certain position why would it be cheating!

I disagree. The top managers in the world are never approached by people who say "You should buy [insert player name]. I got him when i was manager of [insert club name] in 2006 and by 2010 he's one of the best [insert player's position] in the world IF you use [insert formation]."

Real managers talk to people who can only guess how good a player is. If we all just took screenies in august 2001 then it would be okay. but no manager in real life would be told how good a player is in the future, it would only be guessing. Real managers talk to people in the same footballing world, and not people from parallel worlds.

If people can't be bothered to find their own players, then fine. They can use guides. But the game is 500% better and more rewarding if you find your own talent. So maybe it isn't cheating as such, but it is cheating yourself.

I think its more entertaining for network games when other people are doing there best to outgun you. Thats life I think. I also play Grand Prix Legends and people are downloading carsetups off the net just to get a little faster. Like in real life with Ferrari and Williams doing any dirty trick to get that little extra speed. You dont seem them saying it would more fair you were not to let your technician copy and improve the technology we have in place.

It sounds as though ur mate is a bad loser, i agree with Calumn, its not cheating at all and makes it more realistic.

Well everyone has there own opinion on this.
I think your mate is to harsh though :kader:
Whats the point of deleting a multi season game just because you mate has found a few players?

I think creating your own tactic will satisfy yourself... try creating your own tactic! That's the real chalenge

I couldn't agree more man...

the best part of the game for me, is looking for un-known, young players who then turn out to be stars :mrpimp:

Same with tactic, that's the hardest aspect of the game for me. It's amazing that you can use the same players and lose 3-0, and then with another tactic you beat the same team 3-0. When I find a tactic that works it makes me more satisfied than winning 7-0 in everygame using the WWW

Completly agree mate, the real test of a manager is to creat a formation and tactic that will work completly on your own. I didnt exactly do that with my 2-1-4-2-1. Rob (Deautchland) gave me some info, and i created it myself, but under his guidence. So i suppose im not yet a REAL MANAGER!! lol

hmm... ive had a few people say that to me, i used to spell so well... Yet recently my standards have slipped, i remember typing loads to update my story at Valencia in the old 'stories' section and spending time amending spelling mistakes . Yet now i just bash them through at a high speed! I'll try and make them better, sorry again... :(
