View Full Version : Congrats Hugo and internazionale AhmedK 10-01-2003, 01:54:AM Congrats to you two for finishing college. What were your majors?? Internazionale 10-01-2003, 01:56:AM Thank's Ahmed. :) Mine is Economics. Great stuff ! :D rhizome17 10-01-2003, 02:01:AM Congratulations all round are in order. I speak from experience, it is a strange feeling after you finish, walking into the unknown usually, given that the previous few years of your life have been pretty much predetemined. Good Luck!(H) INFESTA 10-01-2003, 02:04:AM Hey, thanks, guys. :) Well, it was about time I finished that sh!te. :p Things work a bit differently here in Portugal (and in Europe in general). You take a subject and you're supposed to stick with it, unless you change course altogether. Still, in some courses, you get to chose what could be called a "major", in your last year (5 years courses, typically). Anyway, I'm a mechanical engineer, with Production management as my 5th year option. We also just get an official graduation ceremony about 2 years after we graduated. Psst, the "unofficial" parties are better, though. :D I did take a pic monday, just to mark the day, and I'll post it. Internazionale 10-01-2003, 02:08:AM I've been frustrated in the last 2 weeks in finding a professional job. Now, I've got one as a Game Associate (Casino). :$ Great job, & I really love this job ! :) Hakeem 10-01-2003, 02:53:AM congrats guys and good luck now:) LaBrujita 10-01-2003, 02:58:AM Congrats guy! ;) :D Sukur54 10-01-2003, 03:46:AM Originally posted by internazionale Thank's Ahmed. :) Mine is Economics. Great stuff ! :D hey ill start college soon. is economics good? and if so is there good money in it? Internazionale 10-01-2003, 04:24:AM Originally posted by Sukur54 hey ill start college soon. is economics good? and if so is there good money in it? Well...I have been fascinated by Microeconomics (Graphs, Market Structures, Marginal Analysis) & Statistics subjects over the past 3 yrs ! It's really fun compared to Macroeconmics classes. I don't know why I feel suck in Macroeconomics (Got "B"), still, it's an OK subject, not fascinated one for me. Good money ? Between yes & no. If you are looking for career as a teacher, analyst, consultant, government agencies, sales person, this should be good for you. ;) If you are looking for more depth in business area, it's better you choose other majors like Finance, Management, etc...stuff like that. I'm not interested in this area because I got one "C" Accounting class, which is not helping me alot & I can't understand the logic behind its procedures. :S :f***: rhizome17 10-01-2003, 04:54:AM Originally posted by internazionale I'm not interested in this area because I got one "C" Accounting class, which is not helping me alot & I can't understand the logic behind its procedures. :S :f***: One word: Enron :brow: hermolt 10-01-2003, 05:11:AM Well done guys. It must be exciting but a bit scary at the same time..I'm only beginning that journey myself..:) Joe 10-01-2003, 05:21:AM I am just beginning my LONG LONG journey into DARKNESS. Then hopefully light...then more light. And eventually light again....then I DIE. AhmedK 10-01-2003, 08:12:AM Im still in high school but my mom is already making me ask anyone of my freinds who is in college if i will ever be able to go to college after the c average i pulled in 9th grade:rolleyes: :( . flamehawk 10-01-2003, 12:07:PM Congratulation Guys! It's been a year and a half since I graduated. I still miss the student life of doing not much (other than about a fortnights intensive revision before a speight of exams, and the slow trickle of course work), hanging out with your mates and generally enjoying your spare time. But hey, I live a more comfortable life financially now. As long as you keep your friends and don't let work become your life it ain't that difficult a transition, except for having less time to do what you wanna do. Enjoy. :) Amika 10-01-2003, 04:04:PM Good luck.. trust me u need lots of them... mhflierman 10-01-2003, 04:28:PM HAHAHA you s*ckers! Working class a$ses now! Congrats. But good luck to both of you guys, it isn't the best of times to graduate, looking at the position in which the world is. You know we really need a good economy graduates here ( if you know what I mean ;) ). Well congratulations dude, you`re lucky you like your major and subject, I`m more interested in art, but my familly forced me to go into economic faculty ( GOD I JUST HATE NUMBERS !!!! ). Uncetainity lies down ahead of me, since I really dislike this stuff, and I don`t know what am I gonna do about it, about my future, etc. Well let`s see where the road goes then, anyway good luck to you and also to Hugo, you`re both independent now and in a few years you would be financially secured, and married and having children, bla, bla, bla, but don`t forget us, your folks at soccergaming forum. :) Internazionale 10-01-2003, 09:39:PM Originally posted by Hans Hey fella, will you come back to Indonesia someday ? Thank's mate. I don't know yet if I want to come back to my country. Maybe yes, maybe not. Maybe after working 4 yrs in the States, I'll go back to Indonesia. ;) I don't know if I can keep longer here at SG Forum. I made lots of good friends here. Han, You, Hugo, Luis, Yashwin, Kader, Aaron, etc :)..... BTW, why does your family enforce you into economic faculty ?? :kader: If you don't like it, tell them the real reasons you don't like it. I had the same situation like you, enforcing to take another major (Accounting), which I really hate very much. :f***: If you don't, your future is gonna be messing up, have no where else to go. Trust me !! Tell your parents ! Take my advice !! ;) |
