Sorry, but it will be Manchester United again, they are simply one of, if not, THE best team in the world.

Man Utd sucks ,theyre defense maybe the best in england ,but against big clubs ,they can easily be destroyed .You say Barca is hungary ,but so is Lazio .Lazio want to add the only major hardware that they still havent won .But my heart goes to Juventus who should qualify from their group.

Bayern haven't won it since 1976. They've lost in the final three times since though. Juventus have won it as many times in the past decade as Barca have: once. Real have won it twice in three years, which is impressive. Argh, damn them.

I agree about Lazio though, they'll never win a Champions Cup. And I agree with Paolo about Man U, they ought to move out of this first group but there are a number of clubs who can handle them later on.

i think now that salas will have a great partner up fron in herman crespo, not taking anything away from boksic but crespo did get 22 goals in the serie A, only behind shevchenko and batistuta. salas only got 12.
so with crespo and peruzzi back in net, lazio all the way

Barca may have lost that traitor, but we gained Alphonso, Durtruel, Gerrard, Overmars and Petit. With Bogarde no longer playing and empahsis on Cocu, Guardiola and Petit running the offense, Rivaldo playing a natrual position and Kluivert in his usual self, Barca are the favorites. Lazio may have more superstars but they had better learn to gel, cause if they do not, too many high priced egos are never good for a sturggling team with the expectations of a championship. As for ManU, if they cannot even beat Ipswich or WestHam (nothing personal) how can they beat Barca and Lazio and Gala. Speaking of which, Madrid lost!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAHHA!!!! GO BARCA!!!

Man Utd will win, providing Wes Brown plays, and plays his best damn football. The game against Real Madrid last season was terrible. Granted, the score wasn't too bad on paper, and Becks got a cracking goal, but Gary Neville and Henning Berg were ripped apart defensively. Fabien Barthez is a big plus, and Ruud Van Nistlerooy can only add to what is an already formidable attack.(And Teddy Sheringham).

I reckon Barca will go far, perhaps even the final, and my tip for (almost) the top is... Sporting Lisbon. I saw them play (and beat) Parma and Real Madrid impressively, so I think they will go far this time.

At the risk of sounding redundant ..... any team that cannot put away Ipswich and WestHam, how can they beat better teams such as Barca and Lazio. Please ...... when ManU stops that leaky defense, then maybe. Until then, you might be able to outgun most Premiership teams, but on a team that has Kluivert, Alphonso, Rivaldo, Overmars, Guardiola, Petit ..... well ...... you get the point. They will not be able to hold them to "only" two goals. Then of course, there is Lazio, Gala, Bayern, Milan ... etc. Forget it, ManU have no chance. As for Real, well .... they have that traitor, but he did nothing v Gala. So to hell with him, and to hell with Madrid. They better enjoy this, cause with the new financial restrictions, it will be a LLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGG time before they come back.

Hmmm....interesting that you put Galatasaray to that list of teams, considering that they are complete crap compared to Manchester. The team with the strongest midfield has got to be Manchester, no doubt about it. Actually I forgot about Alfonso and Petit and Overmars, Barca will fall short though to Manchester, at the end of the game Kluivert will be calling Fabian Barthez and Jaap Stam his daddies. Man Utd regardless of performences recently is the best TEAM, and no team can touch them. Too bad they played like crap against Real last year, but it was just their turn.
