As a deportivo fan, im wondering about the player, jorge andrade formely of porto.

Is he a good Center-Back? will he able to cope with the primera liga? Stoping the likes of raul, fernando torres, Kliuvert, etc?

I wonder this because hes been injured in the first game he played, and he was meant to fix our defensive problems.

Could someone give me an insight on how he played?

He was one of the best FCporto players last season, he's definitly the best Portuguese CB!!!
Wait and see! he had poor luck because he got injured, but when he gets fully recovered he will rule!!

J Andrade is a very quick player, he runs a lot for a CB!! and besides that, he is a fantastic header! excellent positioning as well!!!

So your saying the defense will be pretty much unbeatable, naybet kicks ass.

Can i expect a CL??

First off, I AM NOT A PORTO FAN

Anyways, Jorge Andrade is a solid defender, not out of this world but good. He is NOT Portugal's best CB (He should be a sub IMO).

Yeah I think he'll help out Deportivo's defense but putting the CL on Andrade's shoulders is not a good idea lol.

ffours, Jorge Andrade has amazing speed. I can guarantee that nobody will beat him just by running. Not even Owen. He's also very technical, has good positioning and can head the ball. Expect him to score a couple goals, too.

So for 13m euros, we can expect him to be the next cannavaro?

Man I think J. Andrade is the best signing Deportivo made this season! don't listen to that Benfica guy, he doesn't know sh*t about Andrade! :D

I've seen him make wonderfull games, were only him would stop the opponent's attacks! He's a CB, but he can also play as a DM, and in the best games I've seen, he was playing at that position! He's just one of those players that are all around the playing field! With great positioning, exelent speed for a CB, and good at heading balls it's almost impossible to pass by him.

He isn't at the starting eleven in Portugal's NT bcs of Couto and Jorge Costa, but know since Costa has left the NT I believe Andrade will take his take. :)

HE IS the best Portuguse CB, and I dare to say one of the best in Europe!

Yeah man, Jorge Andrade is without a doubt Portugal's defender of the future, if it wasn't for that injury he'd be Portugal's starting CB right now, without question..

He was a great signing for Depor, and if anything Depor should consider themselves lucky to get him since there were other high profile clubs who were showing serious interest in him...like Barcelona and Man Utd. just to name a few.

My only criticism of Jorge Andrade is that he looks like Webster from that old TV show :evil:

To begin, I'm a Benfica supporter.

Jorge Andrade HAS GOT to be in the fantasy starting XI of Portugal for EURO 2004. He's the best CB we have ever had since Fernando Couto and Hélder. Alongside Litos or Couto, Andrade will have his place. At Depor, he will get more experience with the likes of Naybet and Donato there. He combines a great speed with his body composure (1,83m 7xkg), great heading, game vision at high levels, and can go to the opposition's box to grab him self some goals.

helder currently plays for depor doesnt he?? he isnt even a starter i dont think. I remember scolani taking over RB and manuel pablo isnt starting.

Helder??? He ended his contract with Deportivo in the summer and joined Benfica for free. And what a season he's having... great games, giving our defense much more tranquility and calm to help us not making past mistakes. The ol'boss is back :) He's like Porto wine: the older, the better :D

Manuel Pablo is STILL recovering from injury...

no manuel pablo just isnt getting a start anymore.

He played a full game in the copa del ray the other day as captain.
The once best RB in the world is now clearly out of favor.
