You don't DO anything really. Basically a regen happens when a player retires or a coach retires, the information from that player is collaborated to create a new player at say the age of 18 or so who get promoted from a youth camp to a club's reserves. I've been lucky to spot one in Milan but never known who's it was. You should check out the Grame Kelly editor for finding what regen belongs to who. Also the REGENerated info will be the same thing as the player who retired.

when Effenberg was about to retire, i set his nickname as "bitch".
a season after when i search the name "bitch", a young spanish crap with the nickname "bitch" comes up. he's pure sh!te.

i will post a screenie here to back me up later on.

Well Hugo 45 Viana basically sumed it up

That is correct that if you give them a nickname they take that through the regeneration.

What i was lead to believe is that the youth player that comes up to your youth team if not the club they started at.:D

Graeme Kelly editor is real good for Regens. You can a regen watch on certain players, or the players in a club, and when they retire and a new guy comes in you can see who he is. Though, I reckon buying him would be cheating with this info.:p

Actually, setting someones nickname before you retires just takes you to a decoy regen. You'll often find this method takes you to players who are NOTHING like the previous version of them. The best way is to use the Graeme Kelly.

cant wait to see what a class act he will become..:p

he's annoying though...whenever i exclude him from the squad for more than a match, he becomes unhappy:(

he's from Nastic in Spanish Div 1(cureently in year 06). but why u asked? i think regen shows up randomly under different names every time, doesnt it? so i think u wont be able to get him.

Regenerated players (regens) tend to appear 1-12 months after the player has retired, either forever, or for a staff position at a club.

They are very easy to spot.

I tried the nicknaming, and unfortuantly, it does not work. I had a FRC come back as the name 'Oli Kahn'.

I take photos of the players.

See Stuart Pearce, he has all those 20. Stats like, bravery, aggression, flair, determination do not change. So when Stuart pearce retires, I will look for 20 aggression, 20 bravery, 20 determination. 10 flair and so on.

Easy and effective.

Or you could use a tool called GPF2.

Potential, I am sure you know all about this, the higher the number (between 0-200) the better his stats will raise. Totti has 199 potential, a conference player has 40. It is pretty easy to work.

Hope this helps.
