BEST- World Cup 98- Argentina vs. England- That game was truly amazing. I was in Toronto at that time and was looking all over for a tv when I got there. I saw the first half (pure clasic goal in the end by Argentina) and then saw the rest outside a PACKED bar downtown (The game was actually on some TVs out side the malls that were around). My blood was pumping so much and jumped up in happiness when Roa saved the last shot.

Australia/ URuguay (last one). Pretty much every Uruguayan on Earth had a responsibility to be at this game (or watch it somehow). It was amazing and I was crying more than I ever did when we won.

Brazil/Uruguay-(Copa America 95) This game was also amazing back and forward (as a derby should be). Beating Brazil is always great. :)

World Cup 2002- Spain vs. South Africa- Amazing game that really wouldnt give in. I was watching it with buddies when I woke up that day i remember. Had a blast.

WORST

Cant really say. I love Football.
But Id say Boca/River in the 2001 Clausura (3-0 River :( ) Boca's playing was sloppy and annoying.
I also was disapointed with the Argentina/ England Rematch of this WC.

whats your fave and least fave games?

Same game for both questions.

Arsenal vs Man Utd. FA Cup Semi

Bergkamp plays the greatest game I have ever seen by a single player, but misses a penalty.............later, Giggs is escorted to the Arsenal goal and scores.

Best: USSR v Belgium, 1986 World Cup, 2nd Round

The best team ever to come from the USSR, masters of the 40-yard belters that would soar into the top corner of the net.

They completely tore Belgium to pieces in the 1st half, but only had a 1-0 lead. Somehow, Belgium managed to find their way into the match in the 2nd half and earned a 2-2 draw, before going on to win 3-2 in extra-time.

Worst: W Germany v Argentina, 1990 World Cup Final

I found the whole 1990 World Cup to be somewhat tedious and this game just summed it all up for me. I hadn't realised that football could be quite so boring.

the 1990 world cup is pretty much a forgoten bad memory (after the kick *ss WC 94) Argentina/ Germany was supposed to end the rivalry between both countries but proved to be the worst Final game of all time and had a super bullsh*t ending.

Forgot to put that game in....

Galatasaray vs AC Milan 3-2 we came back from 2-0 down and won at the last minute penalty and then won the UEFA cup later on.

Galatasaray vs Real Madrid we were also down 2-0 and won it with a 3-2 score amazing game.

Turkey vs Finland 4-2 this game we were also down 2-0 and then came back and scored 4 cool goals when they scored 2 goals it felt like that the match had went to like the 80th minute when it was only the 20th minute then we came and won thank u Hakan Sukur(H)

i have more but i dont remember

Best :
Romania V England at Euro 2000 ( it was the most exciting game ever, they score we score, they score again and then we score 2 more and put the game away)
Worst:
Romania V Italy at Euro 2000 ( we got humiliated and hagi got sent off on his last international match)

Internazionale

Best Match : Quarter Finals in the WC '98 Brazil vs Denmark (3-2). Denmark really showed their 'dynamite' soccer even though they lost the game. :)

Worst Match: Argentina vs England in the WC 2002. Very disappointed; England didn't show their characters in 2nd half (full defense) despite they won by a penalty goal.

Hmmmm let me see. Well how about the game that England won 5-1!!!! I think we all know who that was against.

Seondly, WC 2002 England vs. Argentina. I was so happy that night watching it, but was so nervous for the last 20 mins or so. It was all Argentina attacking and i couldnt watch some times.

A sad game was when we lost to Brazil. That was the WC final for me. It took sometime to get over the fact that we were out. But i am glad we got knocked out by the eventual winners.

Wolves beating Newcastle recently was a great game.

Man U beating Arsenal was a great game where Giggs scored one of the greatest individual goals of all time.

England vs. Argentina at WC 98 was a terrible game. No need for explanation. At least we got one back four years later.

The recent game of Man U vs. Liverpool was a great game. It had it all (goal keeping blunders and terrific saves, scraps and all round action)

Worst game: Netherlands-Italy EURO 2000 semi final. All those penalty misses, unbelievable :(:(:(.
Second place the 1994-1998 clashes with Brazil, although the matches themselves were great, just the result I dont like :)

Best game: Real Madrid-Ajax. First group stage in the CL of 1994/1995. I've never seen Ajax play that good, they even got an ovation from the Madrid supporters.

I would like to add, I wasnt around in 1974 and 1978, so I didnt put those in.
I also forgot to mention my second best game, being the semi final at the European Championships in 1988 against Germany, finally beat those Germans :)

Palmerston North Boys High School 4th XI 4 St Peters 1st XI 1

THis classic was in 1993. After a string of heavy losses to those bums we finally whipped their gay asses. A greater game there never was.

Worst Game: Liverpool 2 Leeds 0 New Years Day 1995. I severely doubt I will see such a poorer game in my lifetime.

sukur54 has already said this but for me the most beautiful, inspirational match was Gala vs Madrid in the champions league 2001 ... 2-0 goin into the dressing room i would luv to have heard that team talk that lucescu gave ... the determination & spirit our players showed was bloody marvelous ... Davala from the spot , Sas with a cracker to make it 2-2 ( i'll never forget the site of him running with XTC , makes me sad to see him so lifeless now :( ) & then none other than Mario Jardel with a trademark header to seal it ... awesome

worst game? France 3 - Brasil 0 :kader: i felt so sick that day

& also WC 2oo2 Brasil 1 - Turkey 0 .. y did they have to take out their revenge on us hahaha

Best:
Spurs - ManUyd 3:5, one of the greatest moments in the PL.
Holland - Yugoslavia at Euro2000 6:1, that game showed who the winners of the tournament should have been.

Worst:
Holland's two WC finals. :kader:
Holland - Brazil at WC 94, 98. We were so close, espescially in '98.
Ireland - Holland 1:0, us missing the WC 02.

Worst game was the second leg of the iran playoff in 97. that was the game that australia was meant to win, and it was sending us to the first world cup in 26 years, AND i was going to france in june that year. and everything was going to plan, until they score 2 virtually last minute goals to level and go through on away goals. that was such an easy path, and IMO we were the better team for most of the second leg, and deserved the win. That was definately worse than the Uruguay game because Uruguay were clearly the better team overall in those two legs, something that Iran weren't 4 years earlier.

i think Man Utd v Fulham at the start of the 01/02 season, i dont think people relise how good that game was when Beckham scored that sick free kick, even though Fulham loss they put up a damn good fight........2-3..

worst game.......Australia v Iran and Australia v Uruguay to qualify for the World Cup......man they choked so damn hard both times.....

my fave games of all time are:

Valencia vs. Bayer Munich- Champions league final 2000 - I loved that game.

Brazil vs. Holand WC 94- For ,many reasons

Intercontinental Cup-88- Nacional vs. PSV Eihndehoven- One of the most amazing games ever witnessed. Nacional ties the game up 2-2 in the last second. And then wins in Penalty kicks.

Least Favorite games-

WC 2002- Spain/ Korea- Wow, this game was hard to believe. How much BS can a ref make up in that. lol

WC98 Final- France stomping on Brazil, hoped for better game. Not cause of the result, but Brazil didnt play well at all, and never threatened a come back.

Best:

Nacional 1-0 Peñarol 1992. First time I ever went to a football match. Both teams had scored once but they both had their goals ruled out, then near the end of the match, Julio Dely Valdes smacked in the wining goal that was later on chosen as the best goal of the tournament.

Worst:

Uruguay 1-6 Denmark WC 1986. Horrible... just horrible... :nape:

well this game is both the best AND worst i've seen.. i'm originally moroccan btw..

the WC 1998 game between Morocco and Scotland.. we won 3-0 and were cruising to the second round to meet italy when that Norway penalty came up in the last minute of the brazil-norway game...
i still remember who scored that penalty.. Rekdal (i'd like to shoot him one day :kader: ) to undeservedly advance to the next round instead of morocco.. a whole nation cried that day

the worst game i've seen was Denmark-Czech Republic in Euro 2000.. both teams were already out of the competition and that was certainly evident in one of the most boring games i've seen

Oh yeah, I remember the famous 92 final of Nacional/ Penarol. It had been years since either won the championship (80s were mostly Defensor, Danubio etc,)

I just wanna add Uruguay/Denmark in WC 86. Oh man, was that embarasing (and we just came from 1-1 with Germany):(

Also, Uruguay/Brazil to qualify to WC 94 was horrible for me too.
