Check back once the challenge starts. run4783 20-01-2003, 07:49:PM Upon reaching the stadium for introduction to the fans, I couldn't help but wonder, would the fans except me because I'm an American? That was my only fear. I didn't receive praise or anything of that sort. Rather, I just went about my job. First task, sign some players, coaches, and scouts. So I starting by attempting some staff. In come coaches Tim Martin and Stan Collymore. I know, Stan Collymore, what was I thinking. 400 dollars a week for wages made the idea a good one. Also, Thomas Dooley was brought in as a scout to help the team out. Now, the fun part, building the squad to my liking. In come Nikiforenko, Gomez and Alfred Pfiri on a free transfer. Still pending is the transfer of a young star in Mark Kerr, pending the transfer fee being accepted. ******d bound was Dian Popov to Essen for 1.4 million. Though this didn't completely off set the 2.2 million spent on incoming players. More to follow soon. Including screen shots. run4783 20-01-2003, 10:14:PM Saved Game, sorry about the quality since I had to use Paintbrush to get the file small enough. Sir Calumn 20-01-2003, 11:12:PM That is perfectly acceptable - thanks :) -C run4783 23-01-2003, 05:23:AM Table= Promotion run4783 23-01-2003, 05:25:AM Manager Record of Result run4783 23-01-2003, 05:26:AM Player Ratings run4783 23-01-2003, 05:33:AM The season started out a bit on the tough side. But the team rebounded and stayed healthy. Gomez netted 41 goals, tops in all of Europe. Signed Chiotis as a the starter midway through the year to ease the pressure on the young Vogel. I have numerous players in and out for this off season. IN Saba from Bayern Munich Tapalovic from 1860 Gabrich from Mallorca Bak from Lyon and my loan star, Gunther from Nurnberg OUT Durkovic to Bielefeld Tredup to Mannheim Beuckert to Dusseldorf for 1.1 million dollars I will be a long off season though to prepare for the struggle of top flight football. run4783 27-01-2003, 10:20:PM The first year in the Bundesliga was a tough one. Despite finishing 13th in the table, I viewed it as a success. I didn't get relegated. I managed to secure the signing of Gianfranco Zola for next year as a Player/Coach. I still need to improve my midfield but I think I have found a long term captain in my German U-21 International Andreas Ruhmland. Granted he isn't my most talented player, he has made an impact by being a constant reliable player. run4783 27-01-2003, 10:22:PM Not bad for my top two players. run4783 30-01-2003, 07:16:AM The second season was awful. I avoided the drop by 4 small points, and have so far avoided getting sacked. But I have no room for error. Hopefully, this season will be better then last year. Objective: Finish 12-14 in the table. Sorry no screenies, It was just that bad of a season. 15th on 32 points is just miserable. run4783 01-02-2003, 09:51:PM What a season. The season really got going when I managed to lure Batistuta to the club as a player/assistant manager. He has really helped bring along the youth of the club. Then the club managed to hang on and get a CL berth with a third place finish. run4783 01-02-2003, 10:02:PM Unfortunately, Batistuta retired and now is just my assitant manager. I'm still trying to strengthen the squad by trying to sign Chivu, but Ajax won't sell him. run4783 27-02-2003, 03:44:AM My progress so far at the end of the 2012 season My manager stats: 7 league titles 6 Bundesligas and the 1 Second Division 1 Runner up and 1 3rd Place 3 German League Cups and 1 Runner Up 3 German Cups Champions League Runner this season (lost in the 101st minute) I've played 531 games. W-330 D-80 L-121 Which means that I've won 62 percent of the time and scored points 77 percent of the time. I don't think that I'm doing bad but I do think that I could be doing a lot better.
