Too lazy to get a screenshot right now, but I am currently 12 wins, 2 draws, and 0 losses. I'm over the second placed team by more than 12 points. In the third round of the German Cup (after away victories at Bayern Munich and Leverkusen) and the third round of the UEFA Cup (fixtures against Galatasaray) coming up. My free transfer signings have been the difference in the season so far.

Union Berlin's majestic season comes to close, but with an outstanding ending. The Belarusian double from Nikiforenko (who else?) and Vyajevich was too much for Chelsea even with Zola's 53rd minute strike. The only question now is will Berlin be able to live up to the huge expectations that follow the treble?

Unrelated, but, Spain won the World Cup after beating MEXICO in a penalty shootout. Third place was Italy after beating SOUTH KOREA in the third place playoff.

An accomplishment unheard of, Union Berlin completes a treble for the second straight year with a comfortable win over 10-man Dortmund. Dortmund found it difficult to challenge after Dede was booked for his second yellow in the 3rd minute.

I use a newer update, went into debt during the first season but the money from winning league, UEFA Cup, German Cup pulled me up until I sold off Umit Davala for 10 million. My team started off with about 7 million in fiances, all of which my board let me use. Now in late 2003 I have about 18 million/11 million for transfers...

My question however is... if you started with £7million and in your 1st season got £2.1mil through the transfers out. This totals £9.1mil. Now gate reciepts etc are crap at union and do not cover union's running cost so how on earth do you muster up another £6million pounds in your first couple of months in the game, signing on fees not even included!

just do what all the real managers do, pay for the players over 2 years :rolleyes:

The signing bonuses were pretty cheap. I would estimate I paid no more than 250k? I was pretty far into debt and the board was upset until I won. My finances to this day are pretty slim even with CL, etc. If I would have thought to take a picture of the finances then I would have.

I guess I should have realized 7 million was far too much compared to everyone and I know that this is a far unfair advantage so I am pulling myself out of the competition. This will save any argument or whatever would come about and that's not what i'm after, especially as I see this only as a fun competition. Maybe I will start a new game and with editor set the funds to 1 million pounds.. or seeing as I just downloaded the new cmsorted (I was using a different "brand" of update before) I might try that out. But, I am having a lot of fun with my Berlin game so I will probably keep playing it. Like I said though, I withdraw from the competition just because I had an unfair advantage over all.

I am pretty sure I started the game 975k in debt. However, I play so much CM, I maybe wrong. :)

Starting with £7m is a huge advantage but I, rather stupidly I guess, said that the game could be played with any unadjusted updates and it would not be fair for me to change it now so you may continue if you like Juventuista.
