When I go in the youth team section ontop it has the box with the option if the assistent manager looks for youth players or if i wanna do it myself. how do i find youth players myself?

I don't think you can do that unless a youth match is held and if you select yourself to find talented youths.:confused:
It's only a guess but if there is a way for you to do it manually it will be cool.

If you select youth team you will have a continual influx of youth players...your facilities and youth coach level dictates how good they will be...

If you don't select the youth coach to look, you only get new one's at the styart of every season.

Don't just let your YC search locally....send the to other team in the scout screen!

or you can just go to the calender screen and organise a youth day in the events section and if any good players turn up you can sign them to your youth team
you can only do this once per year and so far i cant tell if there is a difference if you hold it at different times of the year

well the only way you can scout players manually is when you have a youth player day or whenever a message for a youth player compition pops-up. and on the question of the other guy here, yes there is a effect on the date of choice of the youth player day. whenever ill select to have a youth player day near the start of the season chances are i wont get any talented players.
