Yes the we/pes games are better but the iss games aren't bad and they are still better than fifa and give people with a pc an option now.

might be a good alt for those who aint got PS2.

nothing more than that. not only are ISSs inferior to PES/WEs but take a look at the graphics - pixels, no blur... and playin on a keyboard is gonna be a pain.

still a good (should i say "da best") option for PC gamers though => better this than FIFA but i'd recommend getting WE if ya got PS2.

Surely though if you look at how Konami have released ISS games PES/WE games tend to follow in there path so maybe this is a good sign to say that next PES/WE is coming out on PC?

I would seem the way to go for Konami probably the only way to expand

well, its still MUCH better than fifa.. and those are probably extremely early shots.. they obviously havent added any lightning.. but the player models look ok so far.. and itll have correct names, and 58 teams..

I have ISS 2000 on the N64 (well, emulator actually) and to be honest the gameplay is probably better than FIFA 2003 overall because:
(1) You can header the stinking ball when you want.
(2) You can score from a lot of different methods.
(3) The whole feel of the game is less scripted and the ball doesn't rebound off goalkeepers/players at 200mph.

Having said that the graphics are obviously poor in comparison but for a free game (ie. Project64 emulator and the Rom) to run on your PC to get a feel for the Konami line it's pretty decent.

I'll definitely get ISS 3 for the PC because it's gotta be better than FIFA 2003. After a lot of hours spent playing FIFA 2003 the game is just so scripted it's unbelievable and the fact you can't header hardly at corners and when your player is alone makes the game a complete joke because it's such a part of the real game.

Support ISS3 then maybe Konami will see it's worth bringing out the PES range for the PC.

That's just the beggining!
The people in Konami are sure to release PES for PC too, don't you think so?

Oh and I have ISS2 for PSone on the comp (emulator) and it's much more fun that any fifa since fifa98. I agree completely.

It all depends on ISS3 PC sells I guess.

Hey Rado, are you using ePSXe or Virtual Game Station to run PES2 on the PC?

To the guy who said there's 1% of a chance, where the heck do you get that idea? Do you not think if they're going to release one title they'll see how it does and then expand the range available to the PC. If the ISS3 game sells even remotely well they'd be stupid not to release future titles on the PC. It's not legal to restrict game titles being released on the PC only non-competitive contracts regarding other consoles and exclusive lines of distribution. Sony haven't prevented the ISS series or the PES being released before now on the PC, the ball was in Konami's court. In Japan you've been able to get the ISS, WE series on the PC for a few years now. Konami just haven't bothered introducing the range over to the European and North American market before.

Personally I'd rather have a good WE title on the PC and there's every chance of that in the near future as you can get it on PC in Japan already.

Either way, EA Sports are screwed.

where did you get yours from?

you know where i got my idea from?

i was tryin to think of something, make up some idea, and it just hit me man:

we haven't seen any WE on PC (not talkin about japan or whatever) yet, how many years was it? are we gonna see WE on PC this year? doubt it, not this year -> that's why i put 1%

i was thinkin about "this year" this whole time, forgot to mention it i guess... .

Yeah Jumbo, I see where you're coming from dude but it's a bit of a shock for them suddenly to release ISS3. There was no clue before the official announcement, virtually no rumors with any grounding that Konami were even gonna touch the PC in the Western Hemisphere.

I think if they have good success with this game on the PC we could see Winning Eleven/Pro Evolution to follow down the road. Even if they don't though, ISS is a good game to compete with EA and to make them really try hard for FIFA 2004. If I was EA Sports I'd be putting a lot of effort into the next version becasue now people have an alternative and I think another major screw-up like with the headers this year and people will switch allegance and EA will struggle to win them back.

i wish them all the luck. i'm sure ISS3 is gonna do fine, then instead of porting WE they should just go with ISS4, you know, try to improve all the shyt, add more stuff, add online mode and all that and... they got fifa in pocket.

or they should just take the best features from WE and the best features from ISS ; mix'em together and call the game ISS4. i don't know, whatever

whatever they do, if ISS3 is successful then, then reallym whatever they do next is gonna turn out good.

well, we'll see, we'll see.

I guess it doesn't matter whether they do release PES or WE because they can make a success out of the ISS series. ISS2 on the X-Box kicks FIFA 2003's butt in terms of gameplay so I'm excited to see ISS3.

Konami wont definately release WE on the PC, as everyone knows WE is the better game.

There was talk about konami going multi format with WE after the Jap cube release, but they said they had to have a talk with sony first.

And If sony get their check book out it may put an end to future versions outside the PS2

NO!

World Soccer 2002 IS ISS2, but a little different.

ISS 3 is totally new, I know this because those graphics aren't as good and Becks hair style is shaved in them pics, but in the ones I've seen of ISS 3, he has his NEW style! :)

I had iss world soccer 2002 before "iss 2" for pc.

The gameplay was the worst i played in a long time in any footie game. FIFA 2003 was way better compared to it, so people dont get ur hopes too high on this one as they blew iss 2 for pc before.

I was excited back then too, and I canīt see why they should improve this time.

The old fifas were OK but Fifa2003 is so incredibly boring that ISS2 PSONE is more fun than it.

So unless they really really really screw up ISS3, which is highly unlikely it will be better than fifa2003.

Yeah those screen shots are of the Jap version of ISS2.

I have the PAL version and IMHO the gameplay is incredibly bad. The keepers cannot hold onto anything, and the players are hopelessly unresponsive. Unlike the WE/PES series dribbling is practically useless (which is ironic when you watch the intro video). Not only that, but the passing is not responsive, and passing speed is sadly lacking. The game is in many ways incredibley hard to play, and only mildly entertaining.

I wish I bought Fifa 03 instead of this. While the PES/WE games are vastly superior to Fifa, ISS IMHO is a pretty poor soccer game. The ability to use club teams in the Fifa game gives even more reason to purchase it. Hopefully they will fix up these problems in ISS3, but I wouldn't hold my breathe. It would take an entirely new engine to make the game decent in my opinion.
