Keane is on FIRE!! Amika 09-02-2003, 03:17:PM man u 1-0 city... go united... did i really said that... playmate 09-02-2003, 03:37:PM 1-0 to us at half time. the penalty decision(foul on becks) should have been an easy one. but the ref thought otherwise..:kader: mufc_daddy 09-02-2003, 03:39:PM HAHAHHAHA 1-0. We r playing great. Becks is working hard (his workrate is fantastic as always) and he shud have got the penalty. Great play by Giggs to set up the goal. That shot by Anelka could have been much worse, i thought it was going in. We r playing great and are gonna score more. It was harsh to book Neville i think. AberdeenFC 09-02-2003, 03:48:PM shouldnt all you "man utd fans" be watching the game instead of sitten on the computer?? your only part time supporters (8) night 09-02-2003, 03:50:PM Originally posted by AberdeenFC shouldnt all you "man utd fans" be watching the game instead of sitten on the computer?? your only part time supporters (8) i dont live in england, the match is not on tv.. so what is left? text commentary and the MU Radio (H) shokz 09-02-2003, 03:55:PM Originally posted by AberdeenFC shouldnt all you "man utd fans" be watching the game instead of sitten on the computer?? your only part time supporters (8) Its only Premiership Plus £5... pfft I woulda paid it but i didnt get up in time to order it, so its a bit of a waste of money if you've missed the first half lol. maddog1983 09-02-2003, 04:00:PM come on city .. they can still get back into it ... 1-1 come on fowler antithesis 09-02-2003, 04:03:PM After watching the Birmingham and City games, Arsenal must be quaking in thier boots. They look frighteningly good. flamehawk 09-02-2003, 04:09:PM watching it rite now, go city! flamehawk 09-02-2003, 04:28:PM 1 -1 Goater!! GO CITY!! :) shokz 09-02-2003, 04:36:PM Full time... im very dissapointed was only gone 5 minutes to make lunch, came back. 1-1. And that "ex-united" player Mickey Thomas(MU Radio Analysis) was very anti-united in that match. He should be fired. glad i didnt pay £5.:( Just need to hope Newcastle can get something out of there game today at St James Park. Amika 09-02-2003, 04:38:PM point drop.. point drop.... i think fergie will be really angry... full time score 1-1... antithesis 09-02-2003, 04:40:PM That's why you never believe the media hype surrounding ManU. Their win streak was against Sunderland(2), Birmingham(2), Portsmouth, West Ham, Southampton and Chelsea. They were dominated by Chelsea, and yet we were supposed to believe that they were playing brilliant football. Absolute nonsense! And why take off Veron. It's clear to everyone that Keane is obssessed with shouting at Veron. Veron and RVN were clearly their best players. I wonder if the press will write how Sir Alex was outfoxed when he made those defensive subsitutions, like the poppycock they wrote when Zola was taken off. ManU can't take the pressure! Any and each time they get close to Arsenal they choke!!! flamehawk 09-02-2003, 04:42:PM Full time 1-1 Damn should've been 2 -1 that last goal wasn't offside at all!! PhiLLer 09-02-2003, 04:42:PM ****ing hell, I was so ****ing angry I smashed my alarm clock to bits, can't believe it. So pathetic isn't it. If Arse anal beat Toon later then that's Arsenal champions:f***: PhiLLer 09-02-2003, 04:45:PM Originally posted by Eliatamby yeah i'm sure they are, with Man City and Birmingham representing the best the Premiership has to offer. Similarly, i'm sure Man U must be afraid coming up to the FA cup tie, with the way Arsenal beat Farnborough and all Uh yeh mate...Farnborough are a quality team after all. C'mon United won 6-0 vs a prem team...Arse let in a goal vs a conference team antithesis 09-02-2003, 04:45:PM Hey Amika, knowing that you were only supporting ManU because of the Arsenal dislike, did you slip back into hating them when Goater scored or were you pissed. Just curoius. You must have had some weird feelings when that goal was scored. '24' shows on BBC2. Damn, things have changed!! They must have dropped the Antiques Roadshow. garlei 09-02-2003, 04:46:PM needless to say I am starting to hate Goater. Gosh scoring against us again.... Butt was not a good substitute. His one-touch passing was poor. and once city scored united defence looked a little shaky. from the camera goater's 2nd goal was actually not offside. probably there'll be more verification about that but right now from what I see and what the commentators reckoned, it was offside, so man united was lucky to have gotten one point, or else it would have been nothing. United played alright today, good playing along the wings. defence was pretty good for most of the time, except Caroll who scared us couple of times dang it. What did you reckon was the problem? Personally I think putting Giggs upfront as a striker like figure instead of a wing and putting veron as a left winger was a bad move. I am so very disappointed. playmate 09-02-2003, 04:47:PM city played really well in the 2nd. half. when that becks penalty wasn't given i had a bad feeling. now i know why i had it..... anyway, it was a disappointing result at home. and city deserved the point. we didn't play well in the second half. mufc_daddy 09-02-2003, 04:52:PM Originally posted by AberdeenFC shouldnt all you "man utd fans" be watching the game instead of sitten on the computer?? your only part time supporters (8) got my laptop and tv in fron of me. Damn!!!!! Bloody Goater!!!!!! Comes on the field and 22 seconds l8a, first touch and scores. 5 mins to hold out and we blew it. Come on Newcastle!!!!!!! We shud have demolished City. garlei 09-02-2003, 04:52:PM It's up to Newcastle and St. James' Park now. Please beat Arsenal. They have the best premiership record for playing at home. 13 games 12 wins amazing. It's time for Shearer to show his magic ryan_goal 09-02-2003, 04:52:PM Fergie should seriously consider letting the fans go into the dressing room now. i know winning streak will end one day, but not that early. hope Toon will do something:( Amika 09-02-2003, 05:00:PM Originally posted by antithesis Hey Amika, knowing that you were only supporting ManU because of the Arsenal dislike, did you slip back into hating them when Goater scored or were you pissed. They must have dropped the Antiques Roadshow. nope really ... i don't even care who win this match.. didn't even watch the match... so i've no feeling at all... happy.... maddog1983 09-02-2003, 05:14:PM YES goater !! great result a draw !! great stuff ... what about the effort off the cross bar at the death? windtalker9 09-02-2003, 06:08:PM **** ! again we couldnt beat City ! Damn it ! :( :( Payaah 09-02-2003, 07:34:PM if arsenal win then they will have 59 points:kader: :( COME ON NEWCASTLE!!!!! playmate 09-02-2003, 08:18:PM arsenal couldn't win against 10 man Newcastle. so it means the matches of this sunday make no difference in terms of points for the three teams. so it's as close as before.:) Larry 09-02-2003, 08:35:PM Originally posted by playmate arsenal couldn't win against 10 man Newcastle. so it means the matches of this sunday make no difference in terms of points for the three teams. so it's as close as before.:) Yes, but it would have been better if United won and arsenal lost :( Good game, i watched it, but couldnt comment after the match because of the time difference. City play well :$ rhizome17 09-02-2003, 09:20:PM oh well, it wasn't a double over united, more like a 1.5(H) . Good ol' Goater :p :D mhflierman 09-02-2003, 09:30:PM Originally posted by antithesis That's why you never believe the media hype surrounding ManU. Any and each time they get close to Arsenal they choke!!! Ha it's funny to read that. Espescially after you know what the Arsenal's result was. How cocky and arrogant it now sounds. Nothing has changed at the top, and we're still breathing down your French necks. Needless to say I'm dissapointed with our own result. I saw the first half, and it was an exciting ame to watch with some great football. We weren't really outplaying City but I thought we did have control. I feel sadder because of the fact that we drew with City then of the result of 1-1. I wanted to ManUtd to trash City. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Oh and about us chikong when we're near Arsenal, remember 1999? We weren't choking then, and we're not choking now... It will be a photo finish between the two sides. On a more personal level I can't understand why you take on every single opportunity to discredit and slag off ManUTd and their fans. I think we're all being quite honest about Arsenal's strengths and reckon that they are a good side, but somehow you won't give us the deserved credit for totally coming back in the fight after Christmas... That's just sad... antithesis 09-02-2003, 10:46:PM What's the problem with you lot. Can't I make a post without being accused of being the AntiChrist! Lol. Anyway, the West Indies won their match so I really am not in my Arsenal mode. The point is I stated facts. Man U didn't beat anybody to suggest they were in a purple patch. Why don't you petition the moderators and tell them we should never write anything about any other team but the teams we support. It would solve your problems. And as for slagging the fans, I can safely say I am one of if not the only member here who has never had a bad thing to sat about another poster. It's really becoming a bore you know. Bobby 10-02-2003, 12:12:AM City are the champions of Manchester, YES! Man City 4 Points, 4 Goals, 1 Win, 1 Draw Man Utd 1 Point, 2 Goals, 1 Draw, 1 Loss I love reading that.:) night 10-02-2003, 01:01:AM Originally posted by JJ I agree, that second goal for City was never offside... Typical referee bias towards the Scum to save them from losing at home again. :f***: ofcourse it wasnt offside, it was handball.. hermolt 10-02-2003, 01:33:AM It was a definite Anelka handball - terrible shame though.. monkee 10-02-2003, 12:59:PM United were the better team in the first half then they seemingly took their foot off the gas in the second. Distin (or was it Diomede? too pissed off to remember :) ) made a tremendous tackle on Ruud to stop it going 2-0. City actually looked like a good team in the 2nd half, without creating the chances (other than the goal obv.) Man Utd should've had 2 definate penalties and a possible 3rd although the replays didn't show the incident when Ruud was bundled over in the box close up enough to make any real judgement. Beckham's was a definate penalty. The handball in the box from Veron's shot I thought was ball-to-hand, but in light of the incident that the ref awarded City the free-kick they equalised off they were almost identical in everything except where the incident to place. City's 2nd was disallowed for handball. 2pts dropped. Not too disappointed all-in-all because it is as it was at the start of the day after both games had been played. We can't afford to cock it up like that again mind. One thing that was uncalled for was the way City fans showed great disrespect during the tribute to those who perished in the Munich disaster. antithesis 11-02-2003, 01:15:AM Keegan showing his modesty after the draw "'You always like to give players at least 10 or 11 minutes, so it is a gamble when you put them on for less,' said Keegan. But it also unsettles the opposition. If Arsene Wenger or Alex Ferguson had done it, they would have been hailed as a tactical genius, with me it's just luck." I agree with you mate!! It's some City fans monkee, just as some United fans go to Anfield and sing on their Heysel and Hillsborough tragedies. Must be a Manchester thing! |
