View Full Version : Player Findings
voetballiefhebb 13-02-2003, 08:56:AM Post the best player you have found, he can't be a regen either. Going through the screenshot showoff thread, some have found some excellent players. I found a decent one, infact, he is a perfect striker, but he has random stats and potential which is annoying.
Remember, it's players that YOU have found. I don't want no To Madeira, Tsikgalko, Paiva, Skalidis, or Aghahowa threads. No Vieri or Henry ones too :D
I have found some players and I'll post some shots from year 2009 soon...
Clarence Acuna - Newcastle Utd Reserves
Cheap Defender, Performs all the Time
Ebonix 13-02-2003, 04:32:PM I got a few min
They all exist from the beginning
These shots are from year 2009. So these players are probably not that good when the game starts. But they are very promising youngsters!

Aye, Clarence is class. He's being a bit of a bitch lately though. He wanted to shift 'cos he thought he was bigger than the club. He does that a lot.
Dimitrij 13-02-2003, 09:36:PM ??

rony31 14-02-2003, 10:53:PM This guy just got promoted from my Youth Academy...WOW! :clapwap:
rony31 14-02-2003, 10:56:PM I had this guy for a long time...then I sold him because i had too many forwards (and everyone on my team hated him :p) He's from Peterborough, BTW (17 Years Old at the beginning of the game)
veron28 14-02-2003, 10:57:PM that keeper looks great for someone who just got promoted fromthe youth accademy:o
monkeyhappy 14-02-2003, 11:01:PM

voetballiefhebb 14-02-2003, 11:04:PM I got this guy as a regen. He was cool :D
monkeyhappy 14-02-2003, 11:10:PM a regen of who? zola :D lol doubt it!!
veron28 14-02-2003, 11:12:PM He's English and a DMC so it isnt Zola's regen:)

Exactly, God knows where he got the Zola part from.
I am guessing Nicky Butt.
Shindig 14-02-2003, 11:38:PM Possibly Paul Ince.
veron28 14-02-2003, 11:40:PM Or steven Gerrard

Do you know how regenerated players work?
They keep the same position, Gerrard is a DMRC, the regen is a DMC, it is impossible for the regen to be Gerrard.
The regen is 18, he was born in 1986, making it 2004. Paul Ince it is.

Surely he would start at wherever Paul Ince started his carrear?
I thought that was something else inherited
Sir Calumn 15-02-2003, 12:25:PM That Carlton Cole pic a while back was so sweet - I've always tried to develop him into a player like that but never suceeded.

Sir Calumn 15-02-2003, 06:24:PM -C
Matuzalem has developed a lot with you! :) The only thing I don't like with him is his possition :( A always buy AM

I am guessing something along the lines of FRC looking at his stats.
you dont know him ?
he plays for Feyenoord :f***:
btw hes attackin mid/forward
Shindig 16-02-2003, 10:33:PM I spotted him. He's quite a talent. Nowt beats this 16 year old lad from Aston Villa. He's inces regen and I can't get him 'cos I'm Birmingham.
I'll post a screenshot sometime tomorrow.

I was close enough.
Plus Feyenoord only have one excellent player, Song Jong-Kook, the Korean D/DMRC. He's superb.
what about Van Persie & Van Hooijdonk great players
you saw that freekick against Dortmund in the UEFA Final ?
Thats class :mrpimp:
Shindig 16-02-2003, 11:01:PM I'm still recovering from my failed bid to bring Zidane to St. Andrews. £18m in the bank and we still couldnt cough up the wages. Hideo Nakata should be good enough. Work Permit permitting.
yoyo913 16-02-2003, 11:11:PM Hakan Mild is a good buy! :mrpimp:

Er, he is only good at free kicks, that's about it.
He is nothing special.
Shindig 16-02-2003, 11:18:PM Alex Pinardi seems to make a habit of scoring penalties. Just a shame his stamina isn't up to much.

You are bloody wrong! (lol)
Johan Elmander is the player you r talking about!
Peter is playing for Holmalund, and he is 4 years younger than Johan :crazyboy:
Gerrard 17 17-02-2003, 02:19:AM here are the findings I can think of right now....
note: its not the Dani that plays for Barcelona
Gerrard 17 17-02-2003, 02:20:AM these are probably more well-known.
Hehe many Attacking midfielders… ;)
Ebonix 17-02-2003, 02:28:PM I'm gonna have to post some of my finds! Show you lot what quality looks like ;)
I don't mean to be nasty or bithcy but, I know 90% of the players posted :p
Quality managers need quality players ;)

I know there are way to many but i'm just saying.
There are players I know of in the game that nobody I've spoken to knows of ;)
You never know... maybe they also never post all of their findings :o

Well theres not much point of them anymore seeing as CM4 is out soon!
But i must admit I still know my findings from 97/98 :$

rony31 18-02-2003, 03:56:AM Not bad... BTW his stats are crap because I've yet to find the perfect position for him :p

Positioning has nothing to do with it. It is the training schemes. Play him where he plays best, if you don't he will get unhappy and want to leave.
Kind of like a sore loser Scottsman kicking a football boot into his mediocre players eye. Oh hold on, that Fergie and Becks. :)
Ebonix 18-02-2003, 03:23:PM I wouldn't say his stats are that crap.
I think hes not bad especially at that age another two years of hard training thats all ;)
veron28 18-02-2003, 04:26:PM Do you put your youngsters on hard training allways?

Well sometimes, If your at a poor team and you don't know the team if you put your youngsters in intensive for everything except goalkeeping, it seperates the ones who deal with it and don't complain from the unprofessional ones who moan and ask if the training is adequete
But usually I just rotate my training like Gareth does

Sir Calumn 18-02-2003, 10:35:PM I think we'll make this the new player guide.
Should it be a sticky do you think?
-C
voetballiefhebb 18-02-2003, 10:53:PM Yes, make it a sticky.
*Pulls out his meat and wanks until there is enough sticky love juice on the wall to stick the topic too* (H)
Beck's deserved it, apparently he spat at Ferguson on the way out, not his ugly, ugly, ugly, wife demands that Fergie makes a public apology or Becks may walk out on Man U.
Anything to get into the media.
voetballiefhebb 18-02-2003, 11:23:PM Regen of God knows who, but for 6m, it's a bargain.
rony31 19-02-2003, 12:01:AM I dont touch the training schemes, really... I just stick to what i've got, and they do quite well :P
Shindig 19-02-2003, 01:04:AM I put the training to light when I go on my annual tour of some country.
It gives my players a few valuable percentages.
Sir Calumn 19-02-2003, 02:21:AM This thread has now been stickied and should be treated as the new player guide. Get posting folks :)

rony31 19-02-2003, 02:53:AM what was wrong with the other player guide?

You mean all 300 of them?
There were far too many.
rony31 19-02-2003, 05:06:AM Well then why add another one to go with the "far too many"? ;)

We did not "Add another one" as you put it. This one was dragged up by Calumn, it's been here for some time, it also has the most players inside too.
This topic therefore will nuke all CMplayer threads. However, I still feel it would be more suitable if a Scout forum was created.
rony31 19-02-2003, 07:09:AM Scout forum?
voetballiefhebb 19-02-2003, 07:58:AM Well there is a CM stories forum. And the best thing about SG is you guys are obviousley finding players who are good.
TD is full of master tacticians, and knowledge. However, they lack players, they say, wow, look, Van Nistelerooy scored 60 in 40 games for me, I reccomend him. SG is constantly coming up with new talent. Kudos has to go to you guys.
I think a scout forum would be very good, SG is getting bigger, so start expanding the forums. Who knows, by the time of CM5 (Roughly about April 4th 2070*) this place could be bigger than TD.
* = Estimated release date, real release date ought to be around 5 years after the originally scheduled release date.
Sir Calumn 19-02-2003, 02:00:PM Alright guys, we'll keep this as the official player guide for now but if it gets too far off topic or is not useful enough in layout we'll do another one in the old style.
-C
ok, to get back on track, this is a player i have found, he was very good attributes (in most places) and his history is also very good, never seen or heard about him before.
TROD.
this is his history.
TROD.
Sir Calumn 20-02-2003, 12:14:AM *Moved to new player forum!*
-C
Hehe We now have a brand new phorum.... hope it works....
good idea, yet another forum at the top of the CM one. ;) So what do you lot think to Adam Senior - See above. ?
TROD.

He was good at stoke
But can he produce the same form at Valencia?
He looks impressive, shame hes a regen
Hmm, im not too sure. Rare to find a great regen that early on in da game.
TROD.
rony31 22-02-2003, 08:20:PM Hmmm... I wonder who's regen this is... possibly Ronaldo? nah, Ronaldo isn't retired yet in my game...
