How do u rate this player (number 7 of Bayern Munchen, former Germany international, attacking midfielder)

for me he's world class.

He could be world class, he has great skills...but he is always injured :(

How is he with his dad nowadays? I remember when I lived in Germany and he was reunited with his dad and it became a huge deal.

You don't know where the peak is unless they are finished.

he played great in that last derby. His best season was 2000-2001, specially in the champs league.

i never heard that story with his father.

Latest news: he refused to come back to the national team, sad news. It should be a good thing for Bayern tho.

yeah, I heard the story... its quite old. It was during a champions league match way back in the day... I think it was '96 or '97. Bayern was playing Galatasary in Turkey, that was the day that he saw his dad for the first time. He did not know about his dad before the game.. they were reuinted and yada yada yada....

I voted Legend, because he just is one! Mehmet Sholl should return to the German National Squad, at least to finish off EURO 2004, but for 2006, he would become too old.

I think it's a good decision not to return. We would need him at EURO 04, but he would be too old 2006, so I prefer to give young players a chance.

You never know, what if he gets better as he gets older?

yea, look at Schneider, he was nothing special since like 1 or 2 years ago. He's 29 now I think, and just became great.

yea, but theres a lil problem. U can notice many new good defenders such as Rau, Friedrich, etc. and strikers like Kuranyi, Lauth, Schroth, etc. but where are midfielders ? this actual midfield is poor, with boehme, schneider, ballack, even tho they are great players. they need the type of scholl, someone that fires up the attack.

Mehmet Scholl is now past his best after a few nasty injuries and should stick to club football. The hussle and bustle of international football is something that he doesn't need.

He was quite good during his time, but IMO never qualified as 'legend'.
