TristanAbbott7 17-02-2003, 03:30:AM Things I love about FIFA 2003:
(a) I love not being able to head the ball when I want. I only ever want to head the ball when the AI script says I can, just like in real life.
(b) I love that my players keep perfectly still at set pieces, once again very lifelike. It's better becasue then you can see where they all are rather than all that moving around to gain a better position.
(c) I love having my defenders run away from the CPU offense. Some of those players look scary and I would run away too.
(d) I love how my defenders automatically clear the ball without me doing anything. I don't want total control of my defense as that's too much responsibility.
(e) I realy like that keeper charge and header is the same key. I wish everything was on the same key - so much easier.
(f) I love being able to tell whether my free kick is going to go in the goal before I've even kicked it. All I have to do is get that marker in the green area and I've scored. Just like real life. None of this aiming, shooting and curling trash that some games have.
(g) I like it when my player takes 10 yards to turn when I spint because it makes him look big and tough like a ship.
(h) I like superhuman rebounds from the goalkeeper. The only downside is that they've taken off the comet blazes from World Cup 2002, now that was realistic.
(i) I want my forwards to complain every time they are tackled just like in real soccer. None of that getting on with the game and trying to win back the ball for me. I want a scripted shrug of the shoiulders and standing still until the ball is out of my reach to win it back.
(j) I definitely do not want any update patches for rosters and, heaven forbid, gameplay fixes. It doesn't need any gameplay fixes as it's perfect in every way.
(k) I don't want to hear no nasty poo poo people saying FIFA 2003 is bad becasue it is the best game ever. Konami are pathetic in comparison and I only wish I had paid twice as much for the game to show it's true worth.
(IS THAT BETTER???????)
mclaren_f24 17-02-2003, 03:51:AM F*CK OFF, IF YOU HATE THE GAME THEN WHY ARE YOU ON THESE FORUMS

This is the only part where you're a moron.
It takes 10 yards to turn because you can just go in straight lines it's phsyically impossible if you're sprinting, if anything it's one of the things EA did RIGHT in the game, since I was a bit annoyed that in other games it was too easy to get away from the defense, it was just too physically not right in 2002.

Ever tried to hit the byline to whip a cross in? or change quickly on one of the wings? most of the time you can't unless you try and turn WAY before hand, he will usually run out of play.
(L)I really love the fact a player who has "severly injured his knee" plays no differently to a fresh player, in fact on ocassions he will score by running through your defence lol.
TristanAbbott7 17-02-2003, 04:34:AM Another great well thought out and proportioned argument from mclaren_f24. Time to take the anger management classes and breastfeed off mommy again until you've calmed down a little there. I think you've proved to people (even if they think that FIFA 2003 is a great game all round) that your opinions are based around emotional responses rather than any kind of brain-use. Good luck with the breastfeeding from your mom, tell her I said "hi" and the rash has gone now.
As for you Hugo-45-Viana, it doesn't make me a moron because I have a difference of opinion to you anymore then it makes you a moron if you had disagreed with everything I said.
I don't like the fact that it takes quite so long to turn when you're springting. I think EA got it right in that there should be that extra wait in the reaction becasue of your speed, I just happen to think they overdid it to the point where dribbling at speed is pretty difficult especially given that the CPU always catches up with you even at full sprint.
valioso 17-02-2003, 04:47:AM Ok, I get that Tristan abbot doesnt like the game, seriously is ok, I dont care wether you like it or not, its very annoying at times, we all agree on that, but a different thread about the same thing every day, at least try to keep it all on the same thread, its almost as annoying as one more thread with a new manchester united kit

No, I just said on that ONE PART. Try reading next time, pal.:)
Derseu 17-02-2003, 08:04:AM Well!
I think we all should learn how to talk and treat one each other with full respect and tolerance. TristanAbbott open the thread to
share his own point of view. You don't like it? Fine, don't participate in that treat! Go make new kits and be happy, but please, Quaresma-Whoever and Mclaren-Something don't use such words like "f*k" and "moron", it's not appropriate! Don't be "online macho"...
XJaymz 17-02-2003, 09:18:AM Personaly, I think the free kick system is the best I have ever used, and I like the fact that you can't turn well when holding down sprint, and you have to let it go before you make a sharp turn.
But I agree with evreything else you said. ISS is comming to PC. I won't get it, as i'm holding out for PES. Fingers crossed.
AhmedK 17-02-2003, 09:49:AM Tristan you have the right to your own point of view but dont be an ass about it. Your just post boosting you have said this stupid **** before your an ass.Im with Mclaren leave Soccergaming and never come back the game has glitchs but WE KNOW.
