my mate has the redeon 9000 pro and the players light up like silencers and its on are 64mb graphics card its excatly like silencers graphics

no I dont think so, the light is comming from the left, and all the left things are shining like the neck of the left player and the other background players

Hmmm, I'm not convinced coz all the edges are jagged (is AA on Rabsy m8) and the overall quality is not gr8 but u did say this was not the best ss, so I'll reserve my judgement for later.

i will be getting pics soon but the players doo shine as sliencers and the quailty is low because its jpeg image from ms paint pics comeing soon

They shine like my ss??, I'm posting only JPG's so that's no excuse mate ;)
Here's a ss of mine, compare the quality if you want, this ss is pure without editing! There is still a lot of difference between the Radeon 9000 and the 9700 PRO which I have, tests has shown this. The quality of the ss you've posted is of poor quality I'm sorry to say, sure they shine but it's not as sharp as mine ss and not only because it's JPG or smth, just look at the adboards on the background.
I'm curious how your better ss will look when you post them and if they come close to the quality my card produces?

This ss is almost identical to yours only it's Bergkamp, you can clearly see the difference in quality and in detail!!

And here's one with adboards on the background to compare them or with better ones that you will be getting.

Now here is an oldie of mine which I took when I still had my GeForce 4 TI 4200, this face shines too as you can see but the details aren't as clear and so is the clarity of the kit etc.
Now this one looks more like the quality of the ss you've got from your friend. Sorry mate I'm not convinced yet and like I said there's a difference between the 9000 Pro (cheaper) and the 9700 PRO (most expensive and best card on the market today)
And if this is the quality of your friend's Radeon 9000 than it's not very good quality and the Radeon is PURE QUALITY because of the fast chipset on the cards (much faster than GeForce)
Post some more pics here so that I and the others here can see if he's telling the truth. There will be a difference in quality though but the ss should be as bright as mine cause that's the Radeon's trademark :) If he has a Radeoncard then I congratulate him with his perfect choice ;)

there is better graphics then that there 256 ddr graphics cards know they will kill yours im not trying to have are fight here silencer but at the moment in austraila the new 256 ddr graphics cards are out i work for ancs computers here and we have got them in there called the g force fx they have 256 ddr ram thats the best in the market man

i'm sorry rabsy but you don't know jack all because the geforcefx isn't released on the australian market yet.

oh and btw, the radeon 9700 pro is only marginally inferior to the geforcefx, and considering it's about six - nine months older than the fx, the 9700 pro will drop in price even more. in all tests shown so far the 9700 pro is a much better price-to-performance card than the fx.

Not trying to interrupt anything since this is slightly off topic. Anyway, I have the Radeon 9700, and the shining players is a bit glaring (not to mention ugly when compared to the background), so I was wondering if there is any way to disable that "feature".

Again I'm not showing off or smth but the difference seems pretty clear to me. You must admit that there's a difference in quality mate :confused:

Check out the way the adboards look on your ss and then on mine, on the ss of your mate, the adboards look ragged and not in a right line comparing to mine.
Now check out the clarity of the boots in your ss and then in mine, doesn't matter that it's adidas or nike cause I made a lot of ss for Keegan's bootpatch and they are all just as bright.
See how the golden boots of Zidane are bright and shining.
Try to produce a ss of Zidane's boots cause there you can see the true quality of the Radeon, bright and shining graphix.
Another trademarks is the sharpness in the background of things like this ss is showing, not only the faces but the details of kits, adboards and stadiums are very clear.
If he has a Radeon 9000 Pro, which drivers is he using then, just curious?

You should get the same quality with a Radeon 9000 because Fifa doesn't use any DX9 features. Here a ss with my Radeon 9000 (my 2nd card; ) using Catalyst 3.1 and DX9. AA is disabled of course.

AA is enabled on my card and I use Catalyst 3.0 which are much better drivers for this game, i did use 3.1 but then the textures of kits were f*cked up, didn't liked it and 3.1 has only been released because of certain games that had problems.

And what you are saying that you should get the same quality as the Radeon 9700 PRO?? Why is the pro so expensive then?
And you can see a difference between those cards, tests has shown that!
That's the last I'm going to say about this subject, I'm pretty happy with mine, you are with yours so let's leave it at that mate ;)

there are a couple .txt files who deside wich colors the weather is.
so clear day is:direct_sd , you can edit the colors!
etc. so you can change the collors in the game:) and make the sunshine better:)

And I know that silencer diddnt edit anything;)
but it is for the people who hassnt a such a great graphic card like you:)
