I know for sure people in the USA dont get a decent education, but i assume whoever made that site is either european or australian?
Its a basic fact, Mexico is not in South America, in fact, there's 7 countries between Mexico and Colombia.(Colombia being the first South American country from north to south)

This is stupid, things should be left the way they were. No one was complaining, and everyone could find threads that relate to football in general. Who cares about individual team forums? This is just creating more work for the user and on top of that, good arguments will be lost as most people will browse through the forums which interest them, and not EVERY thread as was the case when all the topics were in one soccer forum.

:kader: :kader:  :kader:

About the new soccer forum... too many divisions. Do we seriously need a separate forum for every team? Different forums for different leagues, I can see that. But a forum just for a single team? :nape:

As a member of SG staff, I would just like to publically say (again!) that this is one of the worst ideas I have ever witnessed :( :(

I strongly advise a boycott of these forums, and please reply here as means of a petition to have the old Soccer Forum re-instated.

Thanking you...

Already deleted Kader.

When you break stuff up, you take it away from general interest. The same thing happened with this BRILLIANT Debate forum. We have what, 1 new thread. This forum isn't so active that we need forums for every team, and forums for things "such as politics" that just don't have all that many threads about them to begin with. And no, I absolutely won't post in this forum.

I propose an internet petition against Paul, it seems that his ideas are tremendously unpopular and enrage the whole community, why should he have so much control over us if he only serves to alienate us and piss us off.

And if all fails, there is always the soccered forums.

how can the tipping forum at FO be a problem?

and I think you're statement's a bit hypocritical ... the soccer forum is back and you're still not happy ... some people are a bit hard to please in my opinion :S

The concept of making new forums is forced imo by the content before then being submitted by users ... like excessive of one or two topics ...

and topics need to be split :S

i'll have to get you a thesaurus for christmas as everyone in your book is a hypocrite at the moment ...

all we are saying is by creating sub forums the original forums are losing their appeal and losing their community feel i am happy that the soccer forum is back but ask most members about other recent changes .. ie politcal forum and they dont like it so dont call me a hypocrite if people dont like changes you endorse

With the old forum back I won't be jumping ship, definitely not.

As for Paul, he's a really top bloke..but (and there's no nice way of saying this) he occasionally has delusions of grandeur..it's an internet forum, man, try helping your users out a bit more rather than seeing it as me vs. them.

There should be 3 forums:

- Football
- Video Games
- Off Topic

Then we wouldn't get lost.

Seriously, I really think we should abolish all sub-forums. All it does is dilute the substance in both the main forum and the sub-forum. It goes to the point that making a sub-forum almost ends talk about the stuff that the forum was intended to encourage in the first place. I'm not saying that it was a decent experiment, but if something doesn't work out (political forum!!!) then just forget about it.

Incidentally, it DID work from the time SG was created up until about 3 months ago. And for a few years it even ran smoothly without even and off-topic forum.

The forum is back guys. Stop going on.

Don't like World Football Forums, don't visit them. It is not that big of deal that the Soccer Forum was closed for 6-8 hours.

No one commited a crime here.

I run a website, I tried something new on my website and the majority of visitors didn't like it. I took their feedback and therefore re-opened the Soccer Forum.

It is a very sad person who claims that just because a forum was closed for 6-8 hours that they would boycott another forum.

It proves that its not the mods decisions at all. The users didn't like it so I promptly changed things back.

Thank you Matt, we appreciate it. I think a lot of the comments were made while the soccer forum was closed. I also don't think anyone would have a problem if you linked to that other forum right next to the Soccer Forum, so there's a choice. Like how in this category we have....

NonFootball/FIFA Forun
Other Sports Forum

I don't think anyone would be offended if we had.....

Soccer Forum
World Football Forum

Just a little compromise for you to consider.

I think having a World Football Forum is not really a bad idea. Maybe it's really shocked for some old users. Even some new users are happy with the new forum. So, I guess everything is cool.

EDIT : Thank's Matt for taking soccer forum back.

What i was trying to enforce was that there was nothing done beforehand to see if the users would like something like this. Of course, its good to see that you brought the soccer forum back though :D

The purpose of the WFForums is not only to serve people already existing in the football gaming scene but to service those who are just football fans and couldn't care less about video games.

People who go to WFF may not even know SG exists and just see it as a stand-a-lone football forum. Which it should be, just with old SG members.
