According to sources in Italy, there's a striker merry-go-round being planned for the summer.
AC Milan wants Spanish wonder kid Fernando Torres for next season, and with the great relationship between the two boards may help the transfer (Coloccini, Javi Moreno, Albertini and José Mari are example of that).
And with Torres leaving Madrid, their Dir of Football Paulo Futre has already established contacts to sign at least one of the following players: last year's Golden Boot Brazilian Mário Jardel and FC Bayern prolific striker Giovane Élber.
Now that Jardel got the Portuguese citizenship, he won't be a non-EU player anymore, making him a very wanted lad, even if he's not in a good form this term.
Élber's situation is more critical. He's having a bad time on and off the field, having some arguments with both Bavarian board and fans, and now wants to leave when possible, which means, in the summer.
But there's more...
With Élber leaving Munich, Bayern Dir of Football Uli Höness has reportedly established a pre-agreement with Kaiserslautern forward and World Cup sensation Miroslav Klose that would have effect from 2004/05 season, but it may take immediate effect, this is, in the summer, if a fee is agreed with his current club, that are passing through a difficult time both on and off the field (in the league and in the money department). Agreeing a fee with FC Kaiserslautern won't be such a hard task for FC Bayern.
And Tottenham has also reportedly agreed a move for Real Madrid super sub Fernando Morientes, who is unhappy with his current situation, and with the bust up between him and Real coach Vicente Del Bosque, it maybe even easier for the striker to agree a move away from his native country. But he would only go to Spurs if they qualify for a UEFA competition, and they rely just a spot away from a UEFA Cup place, in the league.
I'm looking forward to see the developments :)
Cheers
