Cool there are 2 mexican movies that can bring home an oscar and Salma Hayek is nominated

The Crime Of Father Amaro.-Best Foriegn Movie
And Your Mother To.-Best original script(or sth like that)

Both r great movies did someone saw them at least one(i think it could be posible)

I dont know why Salma got a nominee i hated Frida

I hacvent seen any of the movies but they do say that "Y tu mama tambien" is great. and The crime of Father amaro is the best Mexican Movie of all time for what I read.

and I dont know about Salma HAyek but it seems that it was great acting cause they chose her instead Merryl Streep for best actress and that says something do I dont think she actually has a chance to win

Well the Oscars dont usually go with current performances like last year with Denzal Washington while he was very good in The Hurricane, Philladelphia and Malcom X, Judgement Day was a huge piece of **** compared to someone like Russel Crowes performance in "A Beautiful Mind" and if you compare his work in that to Gladiators he was far better in "ABM" then in Gladiators.

It would seem if the Academy 'owes' you an Oscar for an awesome performance over the years then they will give it to you for your next piece of work even if its crap

This has been going on for years like Audery Hepburn was screwed for "My Fair Lady" only because she did sing she lipsinked someone else however she later won an oscar for which she didnt deserve only because she did a good job in "My Fair Lady" she later won it.

man, i just hope "Y tu mama tambien" wins.

speaking of which, that movie's producer, Jorge Vergara, is so f***in' rich, he has money to make movies, he recently bought mexican club Guadalajara, and hes about to buy Costa Rican club Saprissa.
