Going on the responses in Grei`s topic about whether or not EA come to this forum their may be a slim chance that they do. So What Music do you wanna hear in FIFA 2001?

I`d like,
Rage Against The Machine and or The Prodigy.

What is this garbage with having popular music in a footie game? You let americans design something and that is what happenes! You need dramatic music, something like the Champion's League music, not Blur, not Fat Boy Slim, they ma be good but you don't put Beethoven on a Porno, save popular crap for the radio!

I agree with the previous statement, what is this big obsession with the music in the game? People dont be so shallow who cares what the music is, just so you can hear a bit in between screens?

If they put in music at all they should put in football songs, or play music they actually play at stadiums(like We Are the Champions or Star Wars theme?), also can we finally forget pop music of them moment and get realistic chants instead? they wouldnt even have to pay royalties if they did that.

I'm not bothered at all as I always end up switching the music off. Too much of anything even if it's your favourite band get's on yer tits after a while.

What relly pisses me off about F2K is the fact that you can't get rid of that F@cken Robbie Williams pish.

Goonerbhoy, did you suss out tickets?

Mark,
Jackie reckoned he could get us tickets but it dosney matter a shlt now cause am no goin over till february.

I don`t mind really what music it is if it`s just a beat like Techno or Dance but i can`t stand Robbie Williams.

If fifa 2001 is going to be like the past 2 fifa games then you can put what ever music you like in the game. As for the music that has come in the past games, it has always been high on the charts music which I feel does not deserve to be at the top. Seems now-a-days that music only goes to the top because of the Lable: Virgin Music, Sony etc.
So I'll just put my own music in the game thankyou very much :-)

Well all I can say is that EA seemed to do a good job with music until this years Robbie Williams fiasco. I really like the stuff on 98 & 99.Even that "I get knocked down" song on WC98 (even though the band sucks) Fortunately they didn't screw up NHL 2000.

The music has to fit the sport and what you're doing with the intro and the overall feel of the game. Now I'm a big Rage fan but I don't think that will ever happen because they're not that commercial minded of a band (more political). Prodigy could work, like Breathe, Narayan and the instrumental Climbatize. These songs would fit perfectly with FIFA (After listening I think this is where EA gets ideas for some of their own music, if you listen to them) but again like Rage I doubt Prodigy would sell out to EA.

Polish I know what your saying but realistic chants would be great in the gameplay not as theme music for the game. We are the Champions sure maybe, but I don't know about the Star Wars theme!

Belfast & Polish, you forget who they are selling this game to: teens up to 20 somethings and what else is globally influential on this target audience? Music. I'm not against popular music as long as it's GOOD and it FITS the game. It doesn't have to be new either, it could be older like The Clash (they would probably take the money). Obviously Britney Spears (like Robbie) would be a bad choice for FIFA or any other game! With the next World Cup in Asia watch out for Bowie "China Girl" Haha!

And what's wrong with some Beethoven in a porn! I'm sure the 5th was going through Ludwig's mind while he banged his groupies! http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

GOONER!!!

Guess my 2 favourite music groups...

Rage Against The Machine and or The Prodigy

It would be great too have songs from these two groups in 2001 but I don't think that will ever happen.

"Battle of Los Angeles" is GREAT!!!!!!

" I was born to rage against Žem " (EA!!!!)
(know your enemy)

Who cares about music in a soccer game! If they get the gameplay right I will be happy even if the sound track for FIFA2001 was from Barbra Straisand. Cause then all I need to do is get a CDHAck so I can listen to my fav album.

RAGE,Korn And Bjelo Dugme Should be in f2001!!! with "bulls on parade" the main song

"bulls on parade" is a great song, but what the **** it has to do with soccer, its a protest type of song. For FIFA it should be just a beat, there shouldnt be any lyrics.

Yeah, I supose your're right Edu, anyway there's no way EA would even concider puting
that type of song in a sports sim. But I still think R.Williams's song(it's only us) is Sh*t

What's with all the Rock?? get some Bob Marley .. or some Samba music. gawd ... you'd think since its a football game, it would have music from all differnet cultures. Someone should shoot EA. They dont crap about football.

Right on grobar, R.Williams's song is so ****ing lame, I rather have no music at all then have that type of **** as the track for the next fifa.

I could start naming all my favorite Megadeth, Metallica (80 stuff), Floyd, Led Zep., and Beatles tunes. Doesn't matter because most of you will say these bands suck. As I think Korn (bought their first record, but their music get's repetitive), Pistols, Rage suck. The best deal would be to have no music at all. The reason they put on people like Williams and Blur is because they are very popular. I'm sure if my band was at the top of the chart I would also be asked to be on their game.

Answer: Delete the music. Have Motty state how your team is doing, like in FifaWC he gave you your status and what you had to do to go on...

Great to see so many people like Rage and the prodigy, clearly the greatest Bands today.

I think the tracks used should be a selection of:
Prodigy:
Breathe
No Good
Voodoo People
Smack my bitch up
and of course Firestarter.
RAGE:
Gurrella Radio
Sleep now in the fire
Bullet in the Head
No Shelter
Bulls on Parade

Now that would be fackin sweet!

Neo9,
Did you get NO SHELTER on BOLA, we did in australia.

Edoardo, I like your style!!!

OK, Edoardo's got me thinking, Rage Against the Machine, Great idea but we could also have Tool's "Stinkfist". Think of the words
"It's not enough, I need more, nothing seems to satisfy, I don't want, I just need it, to breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive" Skip a few lines here and get to the message for EA.."relax, turn around and take my fist"

I think music in the next fifa will be some stupid-nothing-to-do-with-fottie-dyke-song
like MAMBO #5
