I am trying to have my first modem match but cannot establish a connection to my brothers computer. He has a 56K internal modem and I have a 56K external USB modem. It is a local call for us to connect and we have both been using our modems fine to connect to the internet. We followed the setup procedure in fifa(set: Machine name,dial directory,call and wait for call etc.) but the connection only goes as far as getting off the hook and will not establish. Can anyone help with a site to visit or pointers on which protocols or services need to be available. Any help would be great!
