View Full Version : A round of applause....
Sir Calumn 02-03-2003, 12:49:AM I would just like to propose a thanks to Ruud van Kasteren (rpvankasteren) for motoring on with this project with such speed and dedication.
I dont think any of us expected when we burdened Ruud with this responsibility that he would proceed with such dedication.
Thanks alot mate - we appreciate it :)
-C
rpvankasteren 02-03-2003, 01:02:AM You're welcome!
It's just that I like the game so much and I created teams for CM before, so I know what to do. There's nothing more fun than to sell a created player for 50 million pounds and see him score the winning goal in the world cup final...
rony31 02-03-2003, 02:16:AM *chants* RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUD
RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUD!!!!
Dedication... dedications what you need! IF you wanna be the best, if you wanna beat the best, dedication! thats what you need! (Sing to Linford's Record Breakers tune).
TROD.
Sir Calumn 02-03-2003, 01:46:PM OMG I hate thet program :mad:;)

voetballiefhebb 02-03-2003, 07:05:PM And to think, if I had not raised the topic, this forum would never have been here and we would never have been in this position.

Sir Calumn 02-03-2003, 08:53:PM LOL it is true though, we do owe the idea to Gareth.
Still, I think (so far) Ruud has done a marvelous job!

.::John::. 02-03-2003, 09:53:PM Yeah, well done to Ruud:rockman: and Gareth, please could you refrain from starting an arguement for once.
Sir Calumn 02-03-2003, 10:16:PM LOL I think that is beyond him ;)
-C
rpvankasteren 02-03-2003, 10:49:PM Yes, of course Gareth deserves a lot of credit. Too bad his big mouth got him banned right at the start of this:p otherwise he would have had a bigger part in this I'm sure.
voetballiefhebb 02-03-2003, 11:32:PM There is nothing more I could have done even if I was here.
I proposed the idea, you carried it out. Cheers.
Larry 09-03-2003, 06:53:AM Yeah man you rock :rockman:
voetballiefhebb 10-03-2003, 01:55:AM Thanks. :D
Ebonix 10-03-2003, 03:13:AM Good work Ruud and Gareth (H)
Where have I been?? I haven't seen this thread yet
voetballiefhebb 10-03-2003, 03:20:AM Actually, I have to hand it to Ruud. All I did was bring up the idea again. Nothing much, but all the same. Credit goes to Ruud. :D
rpvankasteren 10-03-2003, 11:54:AM I didn't think of it, so it doesn't all go to me.
John_Arne_Riise 10-03-2003, 02:59:PM I have honestly never seen so much modesty in one thread in my life. (H)
Sir Calumn 10-03-2003, 09:12:PM Now you come to mention it, I did it all, they were all puppets, praise me PRAISE ME LOL
Nah, I dont think people realise quite how much work Ruud has put into this to get it going so fast. Dispite his modesty, he really is a legend(H)

rpvankasteren 10-03-2003, 09:13:PM legend, legend. Now cut it out. It hasn't been uploaded yet, so you shouldn't be thanking me yet...

voetballiefhebb 11-03-2003, 10:51:PM What's the latest news Ruud?
monkeyhappy 11-03-2003, 11:20:PM good work RUUD not so much gareth :p
rpvankasteren 11-03-2003, 11:35:PM Latest news: still waiting for mrkokane and monkeyhappy to edit their stats. Please do so... If it hasn't been done tomorrow afternoon when I get on the forums, I'll do it myself...
Sir Calumn 11-03-2003, 11:37:PM I think that everyday they are late, their total amount of stats allowed should drop by 10% :p
-C
rpvankasteren 11-03-2003, 11:38:PM I'll start with the most important stats and put them to 0...
Sir Calumn 11-03-2003, 11:40:PM LOL, just press minus on the handyman til their stats are OK.
-C
rpvankasteren 11-03-2003, 11:42:PM No, I like my players to be inconsistent.
voetballiefhebb 11-03-2003, 11:59:PM Estimated time of upload?
rpvankasteren 12-03-2003, 12:09:AM Probably thursday, about download time? It'll be approx 7 MB so have fun downloading Gareth!
rpvankasteren 12-03-2003, 12:10:AM btw, exe or rar or zip?
Sir Calumn 12-03-2003, 01:23:AM I ahve no idea really but I would say .zip
-C
Ebonix 12-03-2003, 02:07:AM I would definetly go for zip ruud
rpvankasteren 12-03-2003, 02:46:AM why? rar seems to be the better compressor... exe might not be handy.
Ebonix 12-03-2003, 02:51:AM Zip is more popular
I had a bloody hard time finding a RAR file opener and that wasn't to long ago
skillz_inc 12-03-2003, 10:14:AM Since i'm somewhat of a novice to the cm world, please explain what's going on in this forum, obviously ruud's done some great work on something to do with the sg club...help me out,let a guy understand what's going on

What we have done is made a team on CM and Ruud has done all of the editing work on the CM editor.
rpvankasteren 12-03-2003, 04:24:PM the rar extractor/compressor can be found on rarlabs.com, it is most interesting for people with 56k modem connections, as the difference in file size is 2 MB, rar = 7 MB and zip = 8,8 MB...
Another advantage of this extractor/compressor, is that you can also make/extract other file types, like zip, ace, and of course good old arj.

Ok min
Just thought popularity might be a better choice, i'm sure everyone won't mind downloaidng the RAR extractor then the Edit game file ;)
rpvankasteren 12-03-2003, 04:34:PM Of course if you have a 56k and not the rar extractor, you'd have to dl that to. Don't remember it's size. But it will be helpful on more instances.

I know min ;)
Most people will have a RAR extractor
rpvankasteren 12-03-2003, 04:46:PM Of course, if people do have a reason I cannot argue against, I will consider taking down the rar and putting up a zip version for a while...
skillz_inc 12-03-2003, 05:17:PM so when's is sg club gonna be up and running,Darren Nash is eager to score some goals off that left side
rpvankasteren 12-03-2003, 05:35:PM Well, "Joe" isn't the only one eager to play. As I am finishing the data, which I could have done by now, but SGF and the Brugge SGF website have taken up my last hour, the db might be up tonight already!
Sir Calumn 12-03-2003, 10:06:PM Where'd you get Joe from?
-C
rpvankasteren 12-03-2003, 10:11:PM That's darren nash's nickname
Sir Calumn 12-03-2003, 10:21:PM Oh OK. Makes sense :)
