View Full Version : City/Stadium

We need to define a couple of things.

Those being the city we are based in, and the stadium we play in.

We could do a fantasy city/stadium, or a real city/fantasy stadium. We're not going to play in a real stadium.

Also: city attractiveness and stadium capacity.

Give us your opinion on these...

Hmmm... I say we make a fantasy city :p Soccer Gamingtonia! :crazyboy: As for the stadium... I think its a no-brainer... SG Stadium, but that's plain and boring, but what can you do ;) The stadium capacity matter on our finances, doesn't it? so I don't have an answer for that

The stadium capacity isn't influenced by the club's financial situation, the other side around is true though ;)

But what good is a 100000 seater when you get 100 visitors each game...

There is a village near mine called Smallworth with less than 100 inhabitants so I think you should list that as a city and put our stadium there ;)

I reckon we should place it in London as thats where the SG servers are based (I think) (:/)

We should also come up with a decent name for the stadium

"Neo S.G.P" or something like that

Also the size of the stadium should be small to start off with,
Something like a capacity of 2,000 with 500 seats

Just make sure that it can be improved highly

I like that. It should be placed in a city with high attractiveness to get many spectators, otherwise the board won't agree with extension. Say, 2000 and 500 seated, max extension to 105987...

What does the P stand for, btw?

Yes, that way I could get paid for the job I'm doing :D

If I don't get any money from the sponsor, it can only be something with SoccerGaming :p

Liam, why so focused on London?

"Welcome to the SoccerGaming.tv Stadium in London. We're here to see the second leg of the 2019 Champions League semi final between Sporting SG and Espanyol of Barcelona. Sporting is defending a comfortable 4-1 away victory in their recently extended stadium, now offering seating to 85,000 spectators. Rumour has it, that if Sporting are able to win the CL final, the board will aply for a further extension, to 105,000 seats."

I think it would be a good idea to share with the national stadium - Wembley.

Failing that, London, because the reasons Liam put accross, and also London is not only one of the major cities in the world, it's also a the capital city. It would be absurd to place us anywhere else.

As for a stadium, "The community stadium" sounds cool.

What about a street name? Follow the likes of Elland Road etc.

What about naming the stadium after an Indian tribe?

Or a historical event?

I think the opening of soccergaming.tv was pretty much a historical event towards the foundation of this team. :D

Good name for the stadium and i supposed you had to put London but i would have prefered a made up city or a realy small town in the middle of nowhere.

so what's the final name of the stadium,i was thinking Millenium Stadium or Theatre of Fantasy

rpvankasteren

I chose SoccerGaming.tv Community Stadium, but Theatre in stead of Stadium does sound good! We might even host some rock-concerts!
