ive installed the game correctly, so when i go to play it, it loads up to the first menu screen: 'new game' etc.. but it wont let me select an option and the game crashes back to my desktop with no error msg.

Im pretty sure my hardware is ok cos i easily have more than the spec required.

Can anybody help me with this please cos its frustrating me!!

Hello mate! I've just spent the last 4 weeks trying to get this game running..

I am experiencing the exact same problems with my copy.

Install the game try to run it, main menu appears then computer crashes back to desktop.

I'm running a 1.9Ghz p4, 256Mb ram, Windows XP, GeForce 4600Ti Graphics card and Soundblaster Audigy Player...

Anyway for the past 4 weeks i've been e-mailing the ea support centre and what I have found out from them is that there may be a conflict with the soundcard drivers and this is what they suggested....

Open the TCM2003 Folder and edit the soccer.ini file... (i just clicked on the start bar and did a search for it) it should open in your notepad.. you should see a list of settings for the configuration of tcm when it boots up.

If you look you will see a line which says

AUDIO = 1

If you change the 1 to a 0 save the file then try running the game again it might work, BUT the game has no sound.....
Now it's only took 4 weeks to get to this point (hahaha) and previous to this they asked me to disable all virus-protection, firewalls,downloading drivers, patches etc.

I've told them I won't play the game until I have this issue sorted out and I wasn't disabling vital background programs to play the game... what i would say is make sure all your sound/graphics drivers are updated, and you have installed the latest TCM2003 patch(1.21)

f this works for ya could you please reply to this post and if they manage to fix it for me, i will let ya know how to do it, like i say they reckon my problem is with the mp3's in the game, so try this and let me know!

Cheerz!

If you check the TCM2003 folder as well there is a folder called MP3, if you delete this folder and don't change the audio settings in the soccer.ini file the game might work as well... the folder contains music mp3's and are not essential for the game....
