I listened one night on the radio for 2 hours, the music was between poor and so-so, the radio certainly needs to play a variation of music.

The commentators need to be more passionate. You have to wait about 5 minutes until you find out who is playing.

"The ball is cleared by Daniels, It falls to Semau, Semau runs with the ball, he is tackled well by Baker, throw in..."

This should be passionate like.

"Daniels takes no chances as he hoofs the ball away upfield to safety, Semau gathers up the ball, Semau comes forward past the half way line, Baker comes accross and executes an excellent slide tackle as the ball goes out for a throw in 35 yards into the Real Madrid half"

LOL! The phone is ringing and now I am being told to hold while he answers the phone :crazyboy: That's entertainment. :)

Anyways, a bit more passion and more talking and you have yourself a few good commentators. Keep talking, never stop. Just Rabbit on and on, tell us the scores, when it goes out for a throw in, remind us who is playing, what the situation is and so on. I want to be fed with information and I want to listen to people who have passion in football.

Also in some shows, have stuff like jokes, entertain us, this is why I am listening. Maybe SG should have a radio forum so we can add ideas and discuss certain shows.

I would love to be a DJ, I have bumped into Tarrant a few times in Bushy park near me, my mate used to deliver his newspaper. Plus music class I have learnt a hell of a lot from the radio, and commentating. I am not applying myself here to be an SG radio presenter, I am just trying to give a few tips on how you can improve.

Good luck with the future stuff though.

Ho ho ho, very good. :) My bad.

Lior, when you say rock music, I will add that there is a massive difference between stuff like Queen to Offspring, David Bowie to Linkin park.

You should also consider trance. When I say that, I don't expect to be listening to **** like Scooter, stuff like Mauro Picotto and Ferry Corsten. If you know nothing about trance though, I would not reccomend it. A bit of Bowie would not go a miss either. :)

I played all those artists in one session of mine

so we have that variation, so yes we do go from classic rock to new age rock

granted u wont hear what u like all the time but that doesnt mean we dont play the songs... what i hate most is people who say the radio station is crap cos the song they happen to connect to doesnt fit their taste but u have to remember we cater for a large (well :P some may argue) audience so you know my point :)

Our dance and trance DJ had to leave cos his connection wasnt fast enough for broadcasting so that spot is open

Hey, at least I don't bitch until the guy plays bloody Kylie Minogue. :D

Me old Doris says I have to get a job if I want broadband, she is sick of me spending inheritance and savings money, so if I get a job, then I may apply myself. :)

You should take a look at our previous playing lists. Mine, in particular, is very eclectic; I go from NOFX to Michael Nyman. :)

Mrs Minogue, Mrs Lavigne, The Strokes, Travis. Hmm. Eclectic? :mrpimp:

How would I go about song requests? Gazza wants Pink Floyd's Comfortably numb. :D

Yes, your list is eclectic because it goes from sheer crap to sheer brilliance.:mrpimp:

Don't blame me for Mrs Minogue. The DJ dropped Kader in it last night. :)

Has to be said though, she does have a nice backside. I would not say Travis was brilliant though.

Oh right, I never realised Denis was so high up in the music world to confirm which artists are good or not.

He is higher than you, which is a good start, and now you totally ruined the point of that post. Denis is a Scot, like the Travis' members, but he hates them. So you see, although I do rate Travis highly, I was being sarcastic with Denis.

24 hours, been posting on the same board as Denis. Denis? Who the **** is Denis?

I have no idea who Denis is anyways. What's his username?

Nobody is higher than anybody. At the end of the day, we are humans. Your opinion is as valuable as politicians, the only thing that seperates us from them, is they have the final say. Gareth believes in equality. :mrpimp:

1228 posts and you don't know who Denis is... You'd better find out fast, before he unleashes his evil powers on you.

Well as you guessed, I am socially unacceptable, Kader had this curfew on me, he never let me out of the CM forum, he kept me on this big leash. :( I really do have no idea who Denis is.

When I said high up, I meant in the music industry.

Is your internet connection poor?
Do you have KaZaA open?
Are you downloading anything?

I keep getting disconnected, I have never had this problem before.

Lemme guess though, I am being disconnected because the servers are at a peak all time high because people love your show? :crazyboy:
