I have played fifa 2002 quite a lot and has now got fifa 2003. However the computer AI is awful both when I got the ball and when I donīt!. When I am chasing the ball I need to tap the select player key all the time because if I donīt the comp AI automatically switch to the player second closest to the ball! If I switch to a player and start to run with it why the hell are the computer switching player all the time!

Also when I got the ball and are going for a lob pass or something the power bar goes up and down in a very random way. Up 3 pins then down then up 1 then down then up 7. Different every time and you got again absolutely no control how hard and far you are lob passing. Also itīs very hard to pass with any sort of speed on the ball. Same goes with shooting. Impossible to judge the force of the kick since one time you only had to tap the button for 1 second the other you can hold it for three seconds why in control of the ball and he still just doesnīt kick it with any force at all.

Have read in the manual that there is a sim and action mode but neither I can find in the games setup screen??? Is it me or have they just made everything that was good with FIFA 2002 bad? Are there any game guide or patch that fix this issues?

The words "A.I." and "FIFA" shouldn't be said in the same sentence.

Hmm, I was playing as Brazil now and got much more freedom than before then when I played arsenal vs bolton for example. I destroyed Argentina with 4-0 under the first 8 minutes half but when playing as Arsenal vs Bolton I loosed with 3-0!!! Must see if the problem magically has disappeared or if this is FIFA 2003:s way of simulating bad players or something :(

That they shouldnīt know which player to attack the ball holder or how to judge the force on their kicks???

no game is flawless.

especially Fifa :p ...

not to say its not an improvement on the last one. I can't see them getting a soccer A.I. perfect, or near perfect ... its very hard.

Hmm, I still donīt understand whatīs up with the powerbar. Either my gamepad (logitech wingman rumble pad" is faulty or itīs something really weird with this game.

I played Manchester United first and they got defensive strategy at default so choosing offensive strategy did help with the computer taking less care of the defense. So I guess the computer AI actually has got worse than FIFA 2002 :(

Especially since I need to play on amateur because it so damn hard scoring goals in this game. Itīs very easy to defend but to damn hard to attack which leads to that about 66 % or more of my club championship games finishes 0-0. Much because of the damn shooting problem I got since otherwise itīs like goal every chance you got.

I really misses the fluidity of FIFA 2002 or even better Actua soccer 3 but that got a bit to easy for me.

Anyway are there any gameplay patches that makes scoring easier and shooting better? That is the two biggest issue I got right now.
