Today I was at the EA offices pouring my heart out chanting. At first I thought I was going to bring my shredded wheat up, but I never thankfully. :)

At lunch time, I sat down with the staff and we had a chat, I told them this:

Add curl on the corners like free kicks
Improve gameplay
More player animations
Hold down button to put curl on shots (like PES)
More skillful moves
One touch passing
Offside trap strategy (FIFA99)
More tactics
Training option

There will also be lot's more unique faces too.

I may be going back there on Tuesday. Anything else you would like me to tell them?

:read:
Ive thought of a great idea for fifa 2004.

Players dont just get fatigue in football games but throught the season. For example if you use the same player for 10 games straight, then his performance will go down and he wont play as good.

So in order to have a player with high performance rest him once in a while. Maybe you could have a new stats bar which says performance which is out of 10. 1 been the lowest on performance and 10 been the highest.

Also the fitness stats bar may affect the performance bar. For example the higher the fitness bar is the less chance a player has of getting fatigue. So therefore if a player has a high fitness, he wont get fatigue quickly and his performance stats bar will stay up longer!

Oh and there should be the stadium announcer before and during the matches. He could READ OUT THE PLAYERS FOR BOTH TEAMS GREETED TO CHEERS from the crowd. Also for substitutions he should say something like "SUBSTITION FOR CHELSEA, GIANFRANCO ZOLA FOR EIDUR GUDJOHNSEN" and when a goal is scored he should say something like "GOAL FOR MANCHESTER UNITED, NUMBER 21 DIEGO FORLAN!!!". This would add more passion and feeling to the game so PLEASE, PLEASE put this in!

I know ive posted this other places as well but dont u think it would be a great idea if EA included all of this in fifa 2004!

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU TOLD THEM WE'D LIKE TO HEADER THE FREAKING BALL!!!!!!!

No scripted BS!

Goalkeepers with at least some AI!

A defense that isn't as useless as a bowl of fish when the CPU is attacking it!

They do play PES. I also had a long talk about CM. When they said improve gameplay, I told them to do it like PES. He replied that they need a balance in the game. Gameplay was being improved as I talked. They have infomed they have fixed the heading bug.

You should have titled this thread "Where I told EA to put thier game today" :hump:

No way. The hospitality was excellent.

They had an office block, surrounded by at least 4 acres of grass, astroturf 5 a side football pitches and tennis courts. Free food, free arcade games for an unlimited time, I was loving it. Not to mention the building was made of glass, surrounded by lakes with all sorts of species of birds, it was an amazing view.

I went to the EA offices to do football chants yesterday for FIFA04.

I am back there this Tuesday, I will probably apply for a job too while I am there. Seing as I have closer access to EA staff, anything you would like me to add/promote/tell them.

They are happy to listen to us which is real cool of them.

Well, you could actually tell them to bring back the international selection already present in FIFA 98, and the indoor stadium too. International selection should be easy to do, and the indoor stadium shouldn't be that difficult either.

can u tell them we dont care about them to improve graphics next yr they r good enough for now.. just concentrate on gameplay, print some of the threads and take it to them,

tell them they need to release the demo early enough so they can get feedback and make some tweaks. We want gameplay and depth in gameplay, I dont want to win easy in world class after a week, I dont want cheap ways to score like the headers, when once the cross is off I dont even have to time the jump. No scriptted play.
also tell them they need to release info earlier, and more contact with consumers, we have this great forums they claim they read, well.. why dont they post, I am sure Matt could give them a login name, so that thieir forum name would be in a different color or somethin

They have artists working on improving the graphics already. They have to. I bet you would be pissed off if they did not add the 20023/2004 season kits.

They are working on the gameplay big time, from looking around, I think I can say this game is going to be big.

Oh, and just for the record PES fans, FIFA03 outsold PES2 2-1.

fifa 03 has a better marketing team, plus is multiplatform, anyway.. yes I want the updated kits.. but I mean.. just dont push the graph engine further.. update the kits and players... but concentrate on graphs

that has nothing to do with the quality of the game, FIFA is availible on more platforms and in more countries, it's also better advertised. The average gamer wants nice graphics and real names, so they choose FIFA over PES.

I can't say if I like PES better, as I have never played it. I think FIFA was pretty good this year, though, and some people are over-critical.

I don't think there's any point in printing the threads out, EA people check this forum by themselves ;)

Valioso, about them posting on the forum: http://encommunity.ea-europe.com/ (that's pretty much what you are asking for)

An african champs league. The best teams from Africa in one league sort of like the champions league in this fifa2003. Hey on another note what kind of computer people do they need there? Like computer Programers?

omfg, don't tell them to copy WE/PES, tell them to come up with something on their own.

anyways, tell them to improve the graphics and buy some more licences.

It will be the end of FIFA for good if you get a job there! You don't even believe players should be allowed to header the ball when they're alone! In fact, you must work there already!

Tell them if they still put craps like a right footed Rivaldo or a left footed Forlan, and the big irony I put here that this year they also put their cover model a wrong foot setting ( yes my friend they put Davids as a right footer ), and the funniest **** of all this is that everytime a right footer or a left footer passes a through ball in-game ( tough they kick with their correct foot in a dead ball situation ), they always uses their left or the opposite foot !!!!! Also when it comes when they shoot, it`s always the same, OK what I mean is if they still do that in the next FIFA, here`s a very simple graphic that even a five year old can understand so they can distinct the difference between left and right :

LEFT <-------- ---------> RIGHT

NOW I WANNA SEE DO THEY HAVE THE BRAIN TO UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LEFT AND RIGHT !!!!!!

voetballiefhebb - Its great that you have got up close to talk to EA staff. I would have loved the chance to also. But unfortunately i had to work over the weekend to i was unable to attend.

However ... I do think that EA would be rather annoyed at you for releasing some of the information you have done?
Such as the graphics development stuff! I know some people with info on the game also ... but they had to sign a confidentiality agreement  And wont even tell me ... nevermind any of you lot!

So what im really trying to say is? How come you can tell people, but others cant? And also, please dont let this go to your head ... it seems to me like your walking around like your a king because you got to meet EA staff ... but to be honest anyone COULD have, and some other people (un named members of this community so i am led to believe) maybe know a hell of a lot more than you.

All he's doing is sharing some information he got. He's not "walking around like a king" or anything. I'm glad he made the effort to share some of the stuff and so is everybody else on here.

There's always somebody waiting to piss on a parade!

Exactly, somebody has to tell people whether they're on for the same freaking rip-off of last year but with better graphics. Unfortunately for the most part it still soundsl ike they're spending more time on the graphics then anything else.

Still, if the demo is a bunch of crap I'm just gonna download the game like 90% of last years purchasers who aren't gonna get screwed over this time around.

Please tell them to make it harder to sprint and dribble with the ball and add more depth to the ball control now that the ball is no longer attached to the feet of the player, take advantage of it basically! :)

How about giving every player the attribute "aggression", so that there are different tackles and that one with more aggression is more likely to injure the opponent and get a card than a player with lower aggression..?
I think they could include scripted things like quarrels after hard fouls with the referee handing out cards or sending people off (see aggression...)

Yeah, EA always give the information out when the game is basically FINISHED and even then they don't tell us everything!!! :kader:

Did the 2002 FIFA World Cup info tell us abour rocket balls and 100Mph headers? NO! I WONDER WHY!!!!!!!
