That was not that great of a goal the keeper was not in that great of a position he should have had it.

Some people just have to find fault with everything!

Even dough the keeper was way upfront that doesnt make the goal less spetacular. But if the keeper was a bit better or more fortuned he could have saved it. But still a great goal. and Im sure that happens more then once in ten years.

Zambrota do you still think that Rivaldo isnt one of the best freekickers?

Zambrotta, great replay! But to those who think it was Batistuta, he was not the man scoring. It was Mauro Bressan in the 14th minute of Fiorentina's 3-3 draw with Barcelona today. Batistuta did not play in the game. Balbo scored the other two for Fiorentina.

Great replay though!

I consider Rivaldo to be Top 10 in free kicks, no problem with that.
However No.1 for me is Mihajlovic.

Bressan had a hell of a game, his assist for the 3-2 goal was cool too.

I know that if the goalie had been on the line that shot would not have gone in, but hey, it did.

to edu: I am pretty sure this goal will be unique for some time...if Rivaoldo or Batigol had scored it, today it would be like 50 times on CNN.

Almost as good as Cole's goal against Marseille

Hey Ajax, every time you do a post your saying something stupid http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Did anyone see Cole's failed attempts yesterday to try and equal Dennis Law's scoring record ? No matter how many goals that man scores he'll never be a patch on Law.

i haven't seen the play.
(i'll have to wait til the highlites at
half time of bayern - rangers today)
but it sounds like he scored from midfield.

marco etchevery did just that for dc united against the
fusion back in june or so.

No, he scored with a bicycle kick from 20 meters.
You see at least 1 goals from midfield in Serie A per year, but in the last 10 years no such goal was scored.
Of course there were bicycles, but not from that range.

Cole goal was i believe from about 5 meters out, this one was described as being about 25 meters out so there is a big difference. He talks about the goal in the UEFA site if you want to read about it...

Zambrotta i just saw the goal on tv during half-time of Rangers - Bayern game and have to say this was more of a fluke goal than a great goal.
The ball was not struck with great power and the keeper was totally lost, no way should he let that ball go in if he is doing his job right.
