OK, after considerable consideration, i've decided that the best decision for the situation surrounding the 2nd leg of the Leeds vs. GS match should be that no fans should be allowed. no fans, just an empty stadiums. ok, let's look at the options.

1) You can ban GS fans from coming. However, i strongly sense that this is just a way for Leeds to get an advantage over GS, and it's the motive of the Leeds team. (my opinion). Nevertheless, it's a good excuse, but it would be totally unfair to GS because they were not to blame for the incident.

2) You can play at a neutral venue. i think this is a good idea, but Leeds are not willing to cooperate. which is fine with GS, but UEFA isn't too kool with that idea. also, it's not fair to Leeds either, because they played the 1st leg at istanbul. but it's been done before, so why not again? stop complaining.

3) The 3rd and best (in my opinion) option is to ban ALL fans from going to the match. think about it. that way, leeds will get their home field, so they can't complain about that. also, it will show that leeds's real primary reason for not allowing Turkish fans to come is to protect them (i'm sure that's one of their reasons, plus they might be punished if their fans did anything). both sides will be evened out, because both don't have any supporters, and nobody would have an advantage over anybody. except for the fact that leeds are at home, which is what they wanted. it will be easy for the police, and everyone would be safe.

what do you think? by the way, i think uefa has decided to delay their decision until friday.

no fans just puts leeds at a disadvantage. the best solution is to ban gs fans. it's unfair to their fans, but that way it doesn't affect the teams

The main reason That Leeds have banned the Galatasary fans isn't to gain any sort of advantage, the club just doesn't want to be involved in any more violence on the streets or terraces..they can't officially ban any person who travels over from Turkey, or anywhere else for that matter, but if tickets arn't available to the Turkish fans what is the point in making the trip over to Leeds....apart from being involved in more bloodletting....And i don't think that any lack of support for the Galatasary team will make much difference, they are a very capable team and have the two goal buffer to back them up...They shouldn't loose this match...or i should say shouldn't loose on the final aggregate score line..

I can't see UEFA allowing that to happen. They will televise the game either live or highlights and it would be a pretty bland event without fans.
I have to say that any Turkish fans that turn up are sadly asking for trouble.

wait, how is no fans gonna put leeds at a disadvantage? both sides will have no fans, from my point of view it will be even. so you're saying that it's ok for galatasaray to be at a disadvantage without fans but it's not for leeds?

If any large numbers of Turkish fans show up at Elland rd, THIS is what will place Galatasary at a Disadvantge, imagine what would happen outside and inside the stadium if the supporters clash again, much safer and better to have no Turkish supporters there than face another running battle, and the best way any team can stiffle the home crowd is to score an early goal, if Galatasary can do this, they will go thro to the final...and the home crowd "advantage" won't make any difference at all.......
