Can anyone help with my problems?

I use Win2000 on my pc now, and ive got 2 problems.

- When i start TMC i get a black screen... and then it crashes...
- When i go to the direct x help stuff thing, and i want to test my video drives and settings... it crashes, first i see the first block with direct x on it... then there should be a second test. But then it hangs...

Hope someone can help...

man i`ve got win98 on my computer, but i had a problem similar with yours when i instaled directx 9...unfortunately i was unable to uninstal it with a program named "directx 9 uninstaler" and i used a backup copy of my system which had already instaled directx 8...and so i`ve resolv my problem...i hope you`ll resolve your problem soon
