My best goal;
I took the ball with Phil Neville for England from my own 18 yard box, I 360 spun past the first opposing player, speed burst past the 2nd, 360 spin past the third, 360 spin past the fourth, 360 spin past the fifth, then an opposing player tackled Phil from behind but didn't even touch the ball - Phil went flying but the referee didn't call the foul, then Beckham picked up the ball, I did a 360 spin, followed by another 360 spin, rainbow flick-over, then I entered the box, pressed shoot and it went into the top corner, and even though I was playing away at Germany the entire crowd cheered. How realisitc.

Man I love Fifa 2000. Remember everyone, if it's in the game, it'll be in next year's version, or in a free patch made by the amazing fans....

i dont think its possible, if you play the game regularly, to retain a "best" goal for long, since the weak defence and strong forwards allow you to do whatever you want.

La Liga .... FC Barcelona v Alaves ... 2nd half, Rivaldo steps up to take the free kick from about 30 yards out. The wall is now set, the referee blows the whistle. Some jostling in the box .... Rivaldo steps up .... STRIKES THE BALL WITH TREMENDOUS POWER ... GOAL!!!!!!!! RIVALDO!!!! MAGNIFICENT!!!

That ladies and gentlemen, was the ONLY goal that I have scored, from a free kick. I played God knows how many flippin FIFA 2000 games, and that was the ONLY free kick I scored from. BTW ..... I won that game 6-0. I went undefeated in La Liga (38-0-0), undefeated in the King's Cup and undefeated in the "Champions League" .... to complete my fifth consecutive and final treble in five years. The game has since been deleted and the cd case now sits covered in dust, the disk space used for my mp3 collection.

Jumping round the pitch like a frog looks stupid, sidestepping takes too long, you get tackled if you use the rainbow kick, the shield button is a waste of time and 360 spin is gay. FOR F**K SAKE EA BRING BACK THE FIFA99 MOVES. At least I could do the cool dummies and sidestep before the opposition got to me.

Regarding FreeKicks - I can't believe you haven't scored more than a single freekick - you're just approaching it wrong.

See, you need to curl the ball, not OVER the wall, but around it, from OUTSIDE of the goal. i.e, if the ball is, say, on the Box-line in the left half, curl it behind the LEFT side of the wall, heading between the post and the top bar. It's unrealistic, NOBODY kicks like that... but with someone with 6 kicking (like Beckham) and a bit of practice, you can score about 2 out of every 3 kicks. I kept that average for a while..

Regarding Best Goal - I'll get back to you on that one...since there many many incredible goals - for example: (A goal of a friend of mine ) I think it's Israel vs Croatia, or Maccabi Haifa vs Someone.

They get a corner. Ball is kicked toward middle of box, defence heads it down to the ground outside the box. Another defender comes to kick the ball away -he is standing in his OWN penalty box. He kicks the ball away - D not A - and it is hit with so much force, that it flies the 80 yards to the opponents goalie. He Turns Insane as goalie tend to do and falls over in the wrong direction..the ball slowly passes the line, a goal from around 85 yards away...

And yes! Bring back more FREAKING MOVES than those Impossible 360, Dumb SideSteps which NEVER work, and that annoying flick-back over the guy's head. Bring the 99 Moves! Especially the then-alt+e, each leg passes the ball and a REAL sidestep!
