View Full Version : Suggestions Thread
Matt Holme 28-03-2003, 09:20:AM This is where you can post your suggestions on how you feel ManagerZone can be made even better.
As you know, the MZ development team check these forums on a daily basis, so your suggestions and ideas will definitely be taken on board.
Post your suggestions, ideas, comments, criticisms or anything you feel should be added or changed in the game.
Serano 28-03-2003, 05:19:PM You know they have a "Suggestions/Improvements"-forum in MZ also :p
Pablin 28-03-2003, 10:25:PM I love this game!!! but.......
think that the "rest" or "wanna play" works badly, a player who wanna play and do so lower his form and a player who wanna rest rest, not played ni one game amd lower the form also please modifi that
and also if you can make a couple or cups free for all and available for all like that cups that you got yo "pay to play" like the "international champions cup" but with no prices, just the cup in your clubjouse that will be great

jchristenson 28-03-2003, 10:51:PM The formfactor could potentially be improved. However if you have rested for a long time you can certainly play without loosing form. Keep in mind also that you are required to play X games to stay at peak.
Currently the cups features nice prizes which cost money. Cups are also one way for us to make money to pay for the running of the site.
jchristenson 28-03-2003, 10:52:PM Pablin your site does not come up?
ManagerZone B7 28-03-2003, 11:51:PM Yes, Pablin, the link doesn't work for me either.
Pablin 29-03-2003, 12:27:AM the page works fine
not clik on the link...
put the adress manually into your browser
thanks for worring!!!!!
Pablin
Pablin 29-03-2003, 12:33:AM I see the thing about cups, but you can make one for free that got nothing to do with you and make $$ you still got pay cups but for everyone a couple free that will be great, like a country cup, like the Copa del Rey in spain or Coppa Italia in italy, that last one season......
think about it.......

voetballiefhebb 29-03-2003, 02:07:AM Give us members at SG a free league seeing as SG hosts the forum. :)
Seeing as this is my idea, if it goes ahead, I want, no, no, no, I demand 5GBP added to my account. ;)
Bluecoaster 29-03-2003, 02:14:AM Lol happy, good idea :P
My suggestion would be ability to decline friendly leagues invitations, because, frankly, I'm getting annoyed by the yellow sign up there and I don't really want to fool around IMing other managers to remove the invitation.

Bluesman 29-03-2003, 04:21:PM More feedback from the players would be fun...for example:
* I want to play in the A-team
* I don't like the club, put me on transferlist
* I want to take a break for two weeks
* If player Nisse Hult is gonna stay in the team, I want to move
* I love this club, I never want to move
..and so on...
ManagerZone B7 29-03-2003, 06:19:PM Great ideas bluesman, would make the game a lot of fun! :bob:
tompa100 02-04-2003, 02:41:PM what do i have to do to get form in top every time i have a league game im loosing shape :(
Pontefract City 04-04-2003, 01:56:AM I agree with bluesman, some player A.I. would increase the realsim of MZ. I'm fed up of the usual 'I need to play' stuff. Maybe offering contracts to players before they join would increase the realism to, as they could reject if it ain't good enough.

yah i like that idea.. would be awesome if that was implented
Pontefract City 09-04-2003, 11:24:PM I believe that you should be allowed to use real money from your account or through SMS to get your team money. Confused? For example. My team is in crippling debts, and I have money in my account. I could use money from my account to buy finances for my club. It could come up on the finances screen under Income as 'Investment'. Cost a bit of money, but would increase realism, becoming a part-time chairman. Or maybe it wouldn't...
Any contradictions from anyone?
Bluecoaster 10-04-2003, 12:34:AM This issue has been discussed before...It would help the managers like for example Swish, who are willing to spend alot of money for MZ, to get an advantage over other teams, by getting more money you would get better players etc...wouldn't work
Ri
Pontefract City 10-04-2003, 10:20:PM Maybe a limit should be put on the amount you can spend monthly. It could be made a small amount so that the bigger managers don't have an advantage. Although it would then be pretty significant.
yeras 16-04-2003, 02:39:AM Here's a suggestion I posted on the MZ forums...
I'm sure player contracts has already been suggested, but I'm mentioning it again, in combination with another suggestion I haven't seen posted.
What I had in mind was a more robust player AI, where players would be on contract, and it would be up to the manager to negotiate a new contract before the current one expired. Meanwhile, similar to the current system in place for trainers, the players would be free to negotiate new contracts with other clubs. The manager would have the added responsibility of having to sweeten the deal just enough to keep the player loyal to his club.
I would propose a new player attribute be added, called "Morale". This would be a reading of a player's happiness or displeasure with his current club. Certain things would affect a player's morale, e.g. how much playing time they are receiving. This could give a manager some sort of indication on how well his contract negotiations might fare. Naturally, a manager will have to work extra hard in trying to re-sign a player with very low morale. A low morale could lead to other things, such as a player letting you know he no longer wishes to play for you and wants to be put on the transfer market. As is the case with form (at least I think it is), a player's morale will also affect his other attributes, e.g. a player with high morale will try harder to make that tackle or that cross.
A third suggestion would be player loans. As an example, a club has a promising young player, but they do not have room for him on the first squad, and they do not want to sell him, knowing his potential. Instead, the club loans the player to another club who is looking to fill a void.
What do you guys think?
Bluesman 16-04-2003, 04:18:PM Yes, contracts, morale and loans would be nice features.
I also want more statistics about our teams.
And a board of directors would be fun that could put some pressure on you and so on :)

Pontefract City 17-04-2003, 12:01:AM An average rating system should be introduced, instead of the little balls, as they're not updated enough, some players don't even recieve them, even when they play well. Something like the av rating in CM e.g. 7.25
Hotello 04-05-2003, 06:27:AM well the idea, looks great. But i don't know wether it will work.
But we'll see, again, the idea is great, but needs to be implemented in the wright way

Those balls are the skills the players have. They get new balls from training not by playing well in matches.
I've suggested the idea of a match rating though in the Suggestions forum in MZ before but didn't get a reply. However if you download Manzone from the downloads section of http://mzone.soccergaming.com that gives your players a match rating when you enter the data for a game.
Bluecoaster 04-05-2003, 02:49:PM Match ratings will be introduced...or atleast the crew said so once upon a time...I reckon they've been busy with the analyzer and MZ live over the last "few" weeks.

Pontefract City 04-05-2003, 03:42:PM So Ash, are you making out that the form balls and the experience balls are a result of training??
voetballiefhebb 04-05-2003, 03:55:PM On training, if you place a player on speed (No Bosnich, stick to cocaine :D) then he will get more balls in speed.
If you stuck a guy on shooting, over time, his balls would increase.
Form balls are stupid really. You have to play or rest them depending on what they 'need' but it doesn't seem to make any difference to how they play.
Experience balls come with playing I think but I'm not sure.
Form and Experience aren't anywhere near as important as the others.
Hotello 04-05-2003, 06:42:PM an other suggestion: would it be possible to release an official cup with an other format compered to the current one's.
For example, you could let teams from each country battle up against eachother for about 2 or three rounds before they play clubs from other countries. In this way some clubs from smaller leagues could make it further through a cup.
Hoping for some opinions/other idea on this suggestion
/Hotello
I think Johan said we'll be getting some Champions League style cups in the near future.
Hotello 04-05-2003, 09:45:PM okay, hadn't heard that one sofar
thanks
/Hotello
Bluecoaster 04-05-2003, 10:34:PM Yes, johan mentioned other cup forms in the MZ forum, when somebody complained about the current ones.
It's the same to me unless they add the Swiss mobile services :(
Blue
Pontefract City 06-05-2003, 10:43:PM lol HH, I didn't need an explanation on training and how they get the balls. I've known that for months! It's just form & experience balls I'm stuck on.
