This is a F*ukin' crime....Why do filefront want to invade my computer with SPYWARE and ADWARE without even asking me if i want to install it ? When i D/L from filefront they try to install Filefront Client to my hard drive...i dont want it so why the f*uck do the give it to me....I thought filefront was above this kind of criminal behavoir...and until it stops i will not be going to filefront any more...and if anyone knows what to do about this please do it...I just went to D/L shlomy's flags and right in front of my eyes filefront are installing it to my hard drive...I am so f*ckin' angry cos its not the first time....got any ideas what to do about it ?:kader: :kader: :kader: :kader:

I've got Norton Anitvirus which stops this sh*t from going on i.e. popups and spam, as well as spyware

are you sure you didnt push the button in the middle, where it says "download peer-to-peer" ? :rolleyes:

I dont think FileFront trys installing the peer-to-peer when you use the link on the right side, where it says "download it directly from our servers"

Pede, u sure that filefront is doing this coz I just downloaded something and had no problems with spyware installs etc. Have u got Norton security on high? BTW have u got Norton 2003?

BM, u are correct, I always download direct from their servers instead of peer-peer coz with p2p they ask u to install sh*t...

I always use the right button guys...and i've just checked my system and its not on there this timebut maybe because i shut the page down in time..and yeah ,all my security is always up to date...it doesn't happen every time...just now and again....I'm gonna have to be careful...thanx for your help ..you are good guys...cheers

It's nonsense.

1/ Filefront doesn't install anything unless you choose downloading through their peer-2-peer network which requires an internet explorer plugin to be installed of course (even then you are first asked if you want to install the plugin)
2/ you have to LEFT CLICK (not right click!!!) the "download directly from our servers" link

Yeah, peer to peer sucks, it disconected me from internet some weeks ago . . .

Lucas filefront didn't ask me nothing and i never but never use peer to peer...I got better things to do than make up silly stories man

actually the p2p proggie in filefront is not even spyware at all. If you click download through p2p, It'll ask if u want to install it, just click cancel or no. :)

Like i said...it doesn't ask me anything....and i dont care what sort of"ware" it is ...I dont want it ...full stop
