ok I know this is gonna be a long long long subject but I think it does worth 2 b read by you :)
I dont know if any1 already wrote about this idea
but I am sure that the most of us thought about it alot
and I can say dream about it
so what is the Idea
let's begin from the stat
we all r lover of soccer and the soccer games
and I dont care if u like fifa or PES the most cause what I think
is that the both of the games didnt give what I am looking for
what about a 3rd person or even a 1st person soccer game
I mean that u use one player n all the match
and even more
and here is my idea in detail
1st time when u run the game u can create ur on young player with only 14 years old
u pick up his name his nationalty his fav. team and even his girl name
then u decied 2 b ur own bussnis manager or 2 have an profissnal one
then u pick up the team that u go 2 have its test 2 c u f u r able 2 b n it or u fail and try again later
and once u r n the club u begin 2 have the trainings with the young team
AND HERE I THINK IT WILL BE USEFULL 2 USE SOME OF THE TRAININGS LIKE N THE TOTAL CLUB MANAGER OR THE CHAMPIONSHIP MANAGER
then when u excel n the tranings u b picked up n the 16 years team and ofcourse
every postion n the team will b available even if u want 2 b the goalkeeper
and more trainings u have the more u increase abblities such as n the master league of PES2 when u have a promssing player
and then we come to the most thing which any player wish 2 have which is joining the national team of ur country and that wont b easy cause it will give alot of comflict between the national team and ur club and that the matches will have the same date so u will have 2 choose between this or that and if u choose this u will have a scinario and if u choose that u will have another storyline
like if u choose ur club u will b suspened from the naional representaion by ur country fedration
and if u choose ur national team u will have a lot of truoble with ur club ppl and even 2 b sent off the club or b loaned 2 another team just like the real life.
and for the fents or the speical moves u can learn them by gaining points from exceling n matches and trainings and when u have a certin ammount of skill points u will be given the chance to get into the tset of the new skill u want 2 learn and it will depend on what postion u r n the field
like if u were a GK u ll have the power 2 extend ur respnse or the abiltty 2 jump higher or something
and f u weer a DF then u will b able 2 tackle harder with more accurcey whch will avoid u the cards
and f u were a MF then u will b able 2 pass faster or more accurate and the same for shooting and even that u may learn a new fent like the 360 of ZIDAN or the Ceasr of RONALDO or the accurate cross of BEKHAM or a tottaly new skill move the programer will put n the game
and for the FW they have alot to learn from the headhing 2 the fent and the shooting dont u think so?

then by the season is gone you will have the cahnce 2 renew ur contract with ur club or search for anew bclub 2 b ur next move or 2 b loaned 2 another club 2 have the chance 2 play matches
and if u was a star u can join the 1st team even if u r 17 like RONY n EVERTON and even 2 join the national team
like the same player did
I have alot of other thoughts about this idea but I ll stop by this and hope that u can give lot of other ideas
and if u any1 of u can how 2 send this 2 KONAMI or EA please tell me
cause I think the company which will make this game 1st will have the market for a while cause all the gamers as I think will love this game if it have been ever done

I know that Ubi soft had a try 2 make sometihing like this
but they couldnt cause they said it will take about 6 cds and it's very big for a soccer game
but that for 3 years now
so i think that DVD had make the best siultaion for this problem
and if u think that it's impossible
think about battle field 1942 and that it was impossible or even forbidden to dream about a game like it scine 2 years but it's now a fact and it's great that even up 35 players can play together
so I think it's not the hard 2 make it
in fact it wil b eaier if u think about it twice
that n a game like battle field they have 2 take care of a whole battle field and the battle equipment and its sounds motions graphic. animation ......
but n the soccer games u only have 2 take care of the staidum. 22 players. the pitch. the manager and the other team stuff so I think it's easier even if I am talking about training and gym I htink it's nor that hard but also not that easy
so what do u think

What this guy is trying to say is whether someone can make a game with an immersive CAREER MODE.

I think there is this company that was making a series of football games for each of the Big Clubs.

The first game was to be called Manchester United Football or somethinglike that and it had a career mode but not as detailed as
cage_safi is talikng about. Im not sure if it has been released or whether the game is good but the SS looked nice. I saw the link to this game company site on www.manut.com 3 or 4 months ago so i don remember the exact name of the game.

Its called codemasters(the company) they are making games for a number of clubs but only on ps2 and xbox and i dont think the carrer mode is much good. It seems u can create yurself digitally and put u in the team but im not sur whether u can control only urself. Sorry if a raised any hopes but i don think its that good. Guess we have to waint a few more years.

This was attempted in 1990(ish) by an Italian company i think,the game was called I-Play 3D Soccer and was on the Commodore 64(and maybe the Amiga),the game was fairly basic ,but involved the controlling of one player in a team and did have a career mode(IE ,transfers to bigger clubs,play big Euro matches),i am sure with the tecnology available now then it could quite easily be done on a much larger scale,and wouldn't it be a great online game:D

Yeah, good idea!! Ive never really liked the single player idea but I have thought about a full career type mode. It seems like the way forward for footy games.
I really liked the career mode in Virtua Tennis 2, where you create a player and train him and gradually become better and better, and buy new clothes and rackets and stuff!!!
I think this can be done with football!!

and my living example will alwayes b Battlefield 1942
this game made a new genre of video games
called "PICK AND RUN" which mean that u can use almost every single thing n the area u r playing
so I think and believe it will b a lot easier to make it for a soccer gaming and as I can c it was done before and with up 2 date tech. it will b v easy
and yeah I like the carrer mode to, which represent the game into a RPG game

I dont think codematers with all my respect will b able 2 do it like if fifa or knoami do this
cause they have the exprience with the soccergames and with the 1st and 3rd person games already
and they have the abbilty 2 make anything as i can think with the advandge 2 EA - and it's my opnion wether it right or wrong -

I think that u can b able 2 reject the ref. order and 2 b carded if u dont obey or u play the ball after the whistle like the real life

hey Libero Grande on the psx was a 3rd person soccer game. I didnt like it much, but that was like 3 years ago. So maybe with better technology at hand developers can make a better 3rd person footie.

I like your idea cage safi. You know the game Shenmue for Dreamcast. Its like that but then for a soccer game.

And nabeel what you are talking about is Club Football. A game based on one club. There will also be an Ajax version. I dont know if there will be a career mode tho, but there must be.
