What driver do you use ? I use the 41.09 driver and I also got DirectX 9.0, and the game fps improved brilliantly. But it`s only for the 800 X 600 res 16 bit colour. Is the latest driver will improve the fps on a 1024 X 768 res with 32 bit colour ? BTW my video card is GeForce2 MX. Hope you can help me.

strange, can't you get higher than 800x600x16 bit?

I have the same Geforce 2 MX 32mb, but I can play 1024x768x32bit without any tweaking... I have direct X 9 and the latest drivers as always..

Yeah, with 1024 X 768 32 bit, the game becomes choppy, can you tell me what is your setting on your display properties settings ?

i have tnt2 nvidia 32 mb ram and the game looks like crap to me.

I have a GeForce4 MX of Abit , and the game goes in 1600x1200 smoothly , I have a P4 , Mother Intel , and 43.45 detonators , download is here www.nvidia.com and DirectX9.0a !!!

Btw: The detonators XP is what they are called, it's to make the video injection on your pc faster and better...
It was introduced after OpenGL problems that many people had after installing Windows XP including me! :rolleyes:

Hope I told you enough about that, It's simply better to have them installed than to not install them!

FIFA 2003 doesn't support DirectX 9.0, it only uses 8.1 (or 8.0 ???) instructions. I seriously doubt if the new DirectX improved your 3D card's performance. Only a few of the latest high-end 3D cards fully support DirectX 9 instruction set.

I don`t know, but it`s performance definitely increased after I install DirectX 9.0 which I got from the Splinter Cell game.

This is what I mean ( see pic ), can you tell me what settings do you use, like th 3D acceleration, etc. Also I went to the Nvidia web-site, and 43.45 comes in two version in English and in International, I prefer to download the one in English cos` it`s only 9MB in size, but are they both the same in terms of increasing performance ?

i had directx 9 way b4 i got the latest drivers...got the international one...but its prob just bigger for multi language interfaces i guess....
so far my games runs very smoothly..but they always had...

Intellisample settings -> performance
antialiasing ->2x
anistropic filtering ->off
texture sharpening ->tick

Direct3d settings
enable fog emulation -> tick
mipmap detail -> best image quality
PCI text mem size -> 23MB

Open GL
default colour depth ->32bpp
buffer flipping ->auto select
vert sync ->on by def



if anyone has better settings that improves it substantially pls share

I don't know but my graphic card is GeForce 2 MX400 64MB. I can run the game at 1280x1024 with32bit colour but the performance is not good.

I ran the game better at 800x600_32 but I think I want to buy a new card. They said ATI Radeon series is a good one. I've tried it at my company's lap-top and it run great. ATI Radeon 7500.

My specs:
AMD Athlon 1800XP
GeForce 2 MX400 64MB
Memory: 256 MB

rab...hv u tried them out? i'm a little wary at dloading drivers frm non official sources....if they work better..i'd be interested tho

Go to NVIDIA detonator drivers then download the "detonator destroyer" utility at the top of the page.

i get jerky visuals when i use 4X antialiasing...how'd i overcome that?
and wot'd ya do to increase framerate? on my adapter options...i only hv 60Hz and optimal..i dun even noe the optimal value...

Gosh!!! Astonishing!! Exactly the same system as me!!! Well....not so astonishing actually:D Well, never mind...if you think of buying new cards just like me;) buy the Radeon 9500...it has the greatest potential for the competitive price!!;) I can be overclokked to over 9700 performance, if you are lucky enough, but if youare not, you still have a way better card on your hands than the Geffo 2 MX, which is the discount version of Geforce...:rolleyes: And I got tired of it!! Time to go aout an spend some money! Yeah!

I download direct x 9
and I do fifa on 800×600×32 bit
I download a patch so fifa goes smoother, and fifa LOOKS BRILLIANT!!!! AND PLAYS BRILLIANT!!!!!!

I've downloaded the detonator destroyer but it says I haven't got Nvidia drivers when I actually have the riva tnt m64 pro. Are there any other ways as to how I can uninstall my detonator drivers(40.72)?

Check if you have them...if it says it hasn't found them, maybe you're running with other drivers then those youo think you're running!
