If you visit the CM forum or part of the CM scene, you will know all about my tactics.

I have played 3 matches. And I have lost 3. I don't understand. The first match I used a 3-5-2, second and third a 4-4-2. Nothing works. My whole league plays a 4-4-2. I thought of a 3-4-3 to try and counter this by use wings, aggressive, and offensive.

Cheers for the help lads.

There has to be more to it than that.

Maybe I am trying to hard. :(

How quick are your strikers? Take a look at my match from this morning, club name: Corinthians FC (84924). I beat a 4-4-2 with a 4-4-2 by a score of 5-0.

Erm.

West Ham United (117320)

You should be able to see my team stats right? :D

Info: The team has lost 4 league games in a row.

Bloody hell. Manager Zone is realistic lol.

no we can't see your stats.

Try keeping your tactic centralised (although this bug was supposed to have been fixed I still don't have much luck with wingers) and also with the current simulator you only seem to need 2 defenders so play with extra strikers to try and get more goals. Try tactics out in friendlies (you should play 2 every day) so you know what is best for the league games. Once you've found a tactic that works, stick with it.

Hope that helps.

Well If I use say a:

FLC FC FRC

MLC MC MRC
DMC
DLC DC DRC
GK

Then surely if I came up against an offensive 4-4-2 who used their wings, then I would be screwed?

How is this?

try making your midfield into more of a square shape in the centre with no-one further wide than the sides of the penalty areas if you understand what I mean.

That looks better already...your players need a bit of training, and they should be set.

They are.

However, do I build up on their weaknesses or build upon their strengths.

I.E, My striker has 1 pace, but 5 shooting, do I build upon pace or shooting. My defender has 2 ball control, but 6 tackling, which do I stick him one etc

It depends really what you want. If you want a good all round player then concentrate on their weaknesses. However I always try to make them better at what they are already good at.

Excellent. Seeing as I am a newbie to this, well, 3 weeks is still new IMO, fancy writing a "Dummies guide to Manager Zone"? :D
Anything else I should know?

Actually, I should correct my earlier statement.

I just hammered some 11 year old.

Work Geordies 4-1 Other lot

Cue a first half hat-trick, a last minute consellation goal and pitch invasion (probably).

2 points above the drop zone and on a 4 match unbeaten run.

Suddenly, I feel chuffed to have ditched 4-4-2. Nice Liverpool tactics that actually work, too.
