I dont understand why.I have gone through the tips and tricks but still I can't keep my free-kicks down..I kick the ball in the right place and also aim right at the bottom corner of the goal.But for some reason my freekicks go above the bar?I hit my shot when the bar comes in the green area.But it always goes high.
Should I press the shoot button or lob button ?I have tried both and still it goes high?I will be extremely greatful if someone replies to me.Please.thanx a tun

Do you hit the ball at the right spot? You know, with low free-kicks it´s better to shoot the ball in the middle, because you´ll scoop the ball a bit if you hit under the ball. While, if you´re aiming in a top corner, it´s better to hit the ball left or right under. So, if you aim LOW! Hit the ball in the middle, if you aim HIGH! Shoot left or right under the ball. Really, taking free kicks with FIFA 2003 is so eeeeaaazzzzyyyy. I hated the other free kicks systems, but this is a tiny bit too easy! Though, I only scored 6 times with a free kicks in FIFA 2002 :rolleyes: And I never scored in FIFA 2001, with a free kick that is. And in FIFA 2000 I only scored some, hitting the bar first on the way in, though. And FIFA 99 was a bit easier, much easier really. Anyways, If you shoot LOW, hit the ball in the middle, the middlie of the height that is. Look.....a quick thingie....

You can either hit the ball right, or left. But if you hit it in the middle, make sure it isn´t too much to the right or left. Sorry if I´m confusing you, I don´t get myself either:confused:

You gotta make the swinging marker stop in the upper half OF the green spot. Otherwise it usually goes over the bar.

hmmm...stopping the ball in the upper halkf of the green spot....Getting the ball on the green spot is a headache itself....Now in the upper half.?Phew...itz gonna be tough...but thanx newayz guyz...

The thing is when I hit it DB style...the ball usually doesn't dip..When i hit it a lil low or under the ball.The ball is always just over..It can't dip or doesn't come down after it gains the height.And since me a united fan..i ususally play with United...and becks takes my freekicks and when i do what he said it goes JUSt a wee bit over...Doesn't dip

I used Sameer Munots Gameplay patch 5.3 or 5.4 . It makes the green spot a bit bigger and u can score by hittin the upper 2thirds of the green spot (usually). U can check out his gameplay thread for a link. There are also more fouls (more freekick chances!)

My freekick accuracy has gone way up thanx to that patch 2... since my favorite team is Inter Milan in the game I use Recoba's Left Foot for my freekicks... my routine is usually the same, I move the ball marker near the top of one of the corners, the one away from the GK, then on the kick thing I move it all the way to the opposite end from my kicker. Then I time it just right, hitting the swinging thing in between the green area and bam, GOAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!:D

Well..installing that patch..Isn't it avoiding the challenge in a certain way?that'd take the fun outta the game...

the xbox version is way too easy to score free kicks...if you aim in the top corner and with a right footer put th spin control to the right, middle and hit the ball in the upper part of the green to just above the green it goes in every time

the keeper never even moves to it

wait so how come the green is always in different places? I never got the point of that.. is that just how the player feels or something how come its not just like if its all the way up then thats gonna be a powerful shot and if its all the way down then its gonna be a weak ass shot.. can someone explain that to me?

maybe EA don't want this get-the-green-part thang to depend on timing?:confused:

If you always get the marker justoff of the green area, hold down both of the EA sports freestyle controls (shift on pc i think)
You wont score, but 9 times out of 10, the keeper wont hold it so u can rebound

IF you wanna cheat, go to settings and put the game speed to the slowest, it makes the mark go slower.

or edit the ai file, and make the green slider as big as the whole meter and slow the thingy down!:rockman:

ey mate, wot do i need to change in the ai settings. i dont want to make the slider as big as the bar, but i want to make it bigger
