GoHawks4 18-04-2003, 12:01:AM When you play football with your friends, do you have a nickname?
A bunch of Mexican guys I sometimes play with call me "El Torito" or little bull because they're older than me, but I still do well because I'm strong and work hard.

ah yes, i just love it how when a Mexican doesnt know you're name he calls you something else.
but anyway, when i started playing soccer with a bunch of Mexicans i was wearing a #40 Tampa Bay Bucs jersey, and they started calling me "Cuarenta" or "Forty" in english.
it stuck ever since.
ShearerM4 18-04-2003, 01:11:AM at footy they call me Matt.
no idea how they came up with that
Chelsea2001 18-04-2003, 01:49:AM i used to get called Gossy, after the legnedary Geremy Goss (H) (only some English and scots will know who i'm talkin about:)) Its coz i was good at volleyeing, he scored some memorable volleys in his time for City, plus i wore the number 11 shirt aswell :D
voetballiefhebb 18-04-2003, 03:39:AM Gazza. No, not because I am fat, and an alcoholic.
Probably for my silky skills and my presence can change a game for the better. Or my name being Gareth. You chose. :D
finger 18-04-2003, 03:53:AM The Brick.
When running along the wings, if anyone gets infront of me I usually just run straight into them.
Or alternatively the Red Bandit, for the amount of times the Ref dislikes the brick imitation.
voetballiefhebb 18-04-2003, 04:40:AM While speaking football, does anyone remember the kids at school who could not play football? They used to stand still. How annoying where they. You have the ankle nippers (woman) kicking away at ya ankles, then you have a final defender to take in with his hands in his pocket, and he just stands still and gets in the way. :f***:
rony31 18-04-2003, 04:43:AM LMAO @ Gareth... Leave us alone! :crazyboy:
I'm not so great at footy... Need to get in shape first, me thinks :p I'm a pretty good defender, I'm always up in someone's face and they can never get around/through me (H)
djperthglory 18-04-2003, 04:46:AM me they call me, zidane because he is my fave player. or even juventino.
mhflierman 18-04-2003, 04:47:AM I used to be called "Tha Mother****er". Because I did everyone's mom at least one time.... Oh no, that's not true... this is just lame.

That's what they are like though. They stand still and stick a leg out. No intention of playing the ball, just obstructing you. You try and turn and you have a knee in your balls or they catch ya leg and give you a dead leg.
The best football trick is when a corner is being taken. You stand behind the keeper and tap him on his shoulder, the corner comes in and he's flapping all over the place. You can't beat it. :)
schmeichel01 18-04-2003, 05:33:AM Lately its been geggys in the welsh accent of sorts. I got the hair and wear number 11....

when I wear my #10 Owen Liverpool jersey, they call me Owen (H)
Bobby 18-04-2003, 06:44:AM Jeffers now, yep, you guessed it (H)
calve11 18-04-2003, 06:44:AM People say I remind them of Sérgio Conceição when I play so my friends call me.... Conceição :p
Run DMB 18-04-2003, 07:11:AM The Bulgarian Barbarian (H)
Vagegast 18-04-2003, 08:12:AM The Afghan Brad Pitt....but it has nothing to do with soccer :p
No really, nobody called me anything, the people knew me. if they didn't i told them who i was. or they said "hey" or "yo"
m3th0d 19-04-2003, 02:49:AM the afghan brad pitt eh?
ppl around here call me gumby cuz i'm pretty agile and flexible for my height (6'2 which is abnormal for the avg soccer player)
Frostwolf 19-04-2003, 07:05:AM ½¸µ¹ÀÌ.

El Piojo Panizo 19-04-2003, 08:34:AM LMAO at MotherF'er joke! Wearing an alstott i see Cuarenta....well my screename says it all!
INFESTA 19-04-2003, 01:17:PM Well, I got two different nicknames, and got them in different periods, playing for different teams.
First one was 'Sanchez', because I scored an overhead kick once, just like Real Madrid's legend Hugo Sanchez and, well, my name is Hugo anyway, so that one was pretty obvious.
The other one is Hugo Boss, because I like to boss everybody around, lol. Nah, that's not true. I hope. Maybe it's bcs I do wear Hugo Boss. :| Hopefully, they call me that bcs I am the boss upfront. Hmm.
*Hey guys...*
flamehawk 19-04-2003, 01:44:PM No nickname, we dun really call ourselves anything.
