For me it'd be a case of steadying the ship. We had a shifty start to ther new season and have somehow notched up a 4 game unbeaten run. Quite nice considering we've had some heavy defeats.

My top scorer is Sid Glennon with 7 he recently netted a hat-trick against some 11-year old lad. 2 points from the drop. Since I got relegated last season, we don't want another drop so we need points!

Equivalent team: Fulham - They have their moments but they seem relegation candidates each year.

Hmm let's see...started the new season in the top league after going 15-1-0 last season. Started really bad, with only 2 points after 3 games (2 draws at home, a loss away), then managing a 4 straight wins spree, with 19-1 in goals. My two best scorers are at the first and third position in top scorers.

Lost 4 games in a row. Then after a wee bit of help, beat second place Hiltingbury 6-0. I have a week of doubles now, so it should be interesting. I'll keep y'all upto date. I have 100k in the bank after enlarging to 3,100 stadium and buying quite a cool player who scored 2 in the 6-0 win. (H)

i've had a pretty cool start considering im 13, im second in my league 2 points behind teh top team and have the top 2 goal scorers in the league with 14 and 12 goals each. i feel im fine in my division. Hockley City

My team's currently unbeaten but we've had a lot of draws. It stands at 3 wins, 4 draws and 0 lost. Prince Scott is my top scorer with 8 goals in 7. I'm sitting second in the table and I'm confident I can gain promotion.

Equivalent team - Dundee, since the SPL had it's winter break, Dundee are unbeaten in the league, but have conjured up way to many draws.

(I don't support Dundee!)

you can't make substitutions because it would be unfair on managers who can't be online for their games. Subs only come in if there is an injury to a player.

hi im a new member here...so i wanted to make my post here...some of you may know me from footygamer forums...

Well, I started out with a team on march 06. Maccabi Haifa FC.

We had a tremendous start beating Mattituck FC 6-0 in a home match. I thought I had it all aced out. But then in three games I only gained 1 point, leaving me below the line with only 4pts in 4 games. I'm very disapointed, although we didnt have an big defeats, but I was still disapointed with the way the team was preforming. I started making adjustments to my squad. Found the new wonderfull option firnedlies(i didnt know about for the first three weeks :rolleyes: ) I tested some tactics and off we go.

Then we had an away game agains Camp Lake FC. They were place at the third place, I though that we are going to loose big time. My formation was 4-3-3, with two forwars behind my striker supporting him and controling that outside area of the box and the midfield. Susrprsngly we beat them 1-3, I was astonished and glad, I believed we are set to a whole new era here.

Fortunatly enough the next two games were against the last place team Robinson JVC. First game ended at 5-0 at home and the away game ended at 4-0 me winning it.

So now we are in the 4th place, 5pts above 5th and 2 pts below 3rd, I dont think there is a chance that we are going to be promoted, because we are 9 points from the first team, but I have beliefe in my players and we are going to do our best.
3 wins in a row so far, next game agains Camp Lake FC again, and if we win we grab thethir place.

The firndlies week was pretty bad, beaten by F.C. Mounts reserve squad in the second game 2-0 the first game ended at 1-1.
Today we lost two games 3-0 on away game against Orlieta Kielce and 0-5 at home!!! to Da Vikings FC, very disapointing result, hope to make it up the next game against them.

Ohhhhh. Lost both friendlies today.

To be fair there were a couple of my A-team players in there because of my small squad size. And you're not doing badly in the league which is what counts. (H)

thanks for your kind words...thanks for putting some real players there, so it makes my team look a little bit better, but nonetheless you are No1 in the PL so i think i got a good rsult...

In the leauge, I think that I did preform well in the last couple of matches, but we are probably not going to win this week, and we are definetly not getting promoted.

I just got invited to play in a Fair play league. The guy payed for us all which was really kind of him. I'm pretty chuffed. :D

After some horrible frindlies during the week, we he a a game against the third place in the league, which we beat 2 games before on a way game. The win 3-1 actually set up our greatest run 3 games won in a row. Now we had to face them again in a home match, but we had a really poor week so our confidence was down, on friday my top scorer and star player Tuan Porter grabbed an injury which scared me to death. He was going to miss the game against Camp Lake FC. After a nerve racking weekend, the match comes, I put my conreversioal player. He either playes good, or really sucks, but somehow he managed to score a winning goal 1-0! Making it 4 games won in a row and out us in 3rd place. Absolutely Sensational week!

I just splashed 50k on upgrading stand to 7k and building 5 buildings, 2 hot dog and 3 souveneir shops I think. Be ready on the 20th May, so I may go into red slightly in which I will ask somebody for a loan. I`m manger of FC Gruchlandia, a club in Polish Div4.35
I started playing MZ just before start of season (got team on Saturday - first league match on Sunday :) ), at start i was looking for some tactic to play with and had some problems (tried to play with wings :?) - now i try to avoid relegation... I was at bottom of my table few weeks ago but i won 3 of my 4 last league matches and one drawn - now i`m 4th and got 6 points more then 6th team... only 3 matches left but i`m not worried anymore....

Aye, I came up with this excellent idea of making the SG league an 8 team league, copying my fixtures, replacing Cove AFC with FC Mount, Hiltinbgury FC with FC Luzern and so on. I can't work out fixtures, it's too hard.

I have to play 1st and 2nd away, and bottom at home. It's gonna be close, I should be out of relegation trouble now, I'm more interested in the money, s my WFO states, a top 3 finish is good after being bottom only 4-5 rounds ago or so.

What happens when the season finishes? Is it a week break or straight into a new season?

1 weekend without a game and then the new season starts the next weekend.

After i had my 4 in a row run which led me to the thir place in the leauge, I lost to the second place on away 2-0 and and the next week i lost 2-1 against the 1st team on away...hada really bad week in firnedlises like usual, till today, my B team beat some one 6-2...Im going bacnkruptt at the moment selling players...god i hope i wont get fired.

other thing is - we have chances to have 2nd place at the end - we only need to win with champion at home and actual 2nd placed team away :)

Just to keep you updated. This has been a 2 horse race all season. We are both leagues ahead of the rest of our opponents and I play Weaverham at home in the final game of the season to see who will be champions and get promoted to division 4.

Has anyone seen a more dominant 2 horse race than this one? 33 points would have put me top by far in most other leagues I have seen.

Everything worked out well, I won 5 matches in a row and I thought i was unbeateble. The match be4 the last match I played against the last. I think I underestimated them a bit, because I played with my ''B''- Formation. The match ended up in a draw 3-3. The number 2 won, and they went first and I second.

Were Sin good? I'm playing them on friday. I've been on a good run too recently, though my friendly league results aren't helping lol. I nearly beat Dragons United or whatever, just lost 4-2 away. Lol, lost to Egg Chasers 7-0 though :p I think Dragons are the only unbeaten team left in the FL, cause hoops team has been beaten once. They're still top though...I'm 13th out of 16. :D An achievement for me playing against some of mz's best. I'll need to play you again Liam, and wipe out that 6-0 scoreline from me memory ;)

Surprisingly I lost the morning game only with 1-2... Not bad I presume for a 30000th team against a team from the top 500...

I lost to SIN 3-1, it's this new gameplay! I've lost 10 from a dozen games. With the old simulator it would be the other way around. I've given away SEVEN penelties in just over 10 matches (4 given away today, 1 against Sin). There's also a bug in the gameplay. All the defenders run away to one attacker and then that attacker passes it to a free striker, who slams it in without any real challenge. It's ruined my tactics and it seems the new gameplay is starting to change the balance of power which is totally unfair, I found a great tactic and now it's rubbish. I miss more chances with the new engine, even though mz promised that shooting would be improved. All of this since the new gameplay was introduced.

P.S. Good note for today: I beat that team that wouldn't accept my home match (H) Revenge is sweet!!

Dont blame the simulator, we beat you fair and square. I will even challenge u again, to prove we can beat u

Pont, I also lost MANY games since the new simulator came out...and I got a team worth a good lot more than the most of other european teams, which means something is wrong with my tactics...that's why friendlies are there, to change and test your tactics.

lol, I was about to say some really cocky stuff on here but I'll put my head down and just keep on trying to find the right tactic. The defending bug is my only problem, I just said all the other stuff because I was angry at the time. No dis-repect Sin :( . How about next week, home and away this time? I'll keep quiet if you beat me. By the way Sin, I was not saying the match would be the other way round, I was refering to my form since the new simulator. I'm one of these people who take losses badly. I've had problems with stress because of the way I take losing. I don't mean in mz, I mean when I lose at anything, in general. It's a condition.
