View Full Version : United Ignoring Fans At Airport..
Larry 23-04-2003, 04:29:AM Shocking. The united players just walked past all the fans ignoring them at madrid airport.
Its shocking how such an awesome club does not respect their fans. Im mad
Beckham was the only one who talked to the fans. My mates bro is the guy in the beanie:
Bobby 23-04-2003, 04:32:AM Now that shouldn't happen, Beckham seems like the only one who cares, he may always be the only one that relises all the sales of Man Utd products pays the bills.
schmeichel01 23-04-2003, 04:32:AM Well if u just embarassed/humiliated on the pitch would you want to take the abuse?
Bobby 23-04-2003, 04:35:AM Glenn Roeder did.
voetballiefhebb 23-04-2003, 04:39:AM So?
These peoples heroes or not. If I was a footballer, the last thing I would want is being harrassed by a pesky fan for an autopgraph. There is a time and a place for stuff like this. After travelling on a two hour flight, would you be willing to talk to fans? I would not.
As arrogant as it may seem, these people actually have lives too. Why be treated different because you are more popular?
Perles 23-04-2003, 05:04:AM you can smoke in the airports!? damn...they barely let you smoke OUTSIDE at o'hare
Caponedawg 23-04-2003, 05:13:AM that babe looks kinda cute.

If they were piloting the plane or serving passengers I can see an excuse but when you fly first class on a jet, you should be in a decent mood.

They earn money thanks to the supporters....
no interest in football = no $$$
really simple, for the kind of money they earn, the least they can do is at least interact with their fans.

i'm a few miles from downtown (the loop), meigs is maybe a 1/2 mile south of the loop on the lake....so like 3 miles
voetballiefhebb 23-04-2003, 06:44:AM I've never been to Chicago. A bit of Flight Simulator 2002 and Driver 2 and I know my way around Chicago. :D
I'm like 4 miles as the crow flies from Heathrow. It's horrible. I live under the flight path to France, Spain, Africa, and the Americas. :( I am bloody glad the concorde is finishing. Always used to wake me up. Still have those pesky 747's. :(
Back on topic now. Erm, yeah...er. Marmite. :D
Becks love the attention. Simple as that. He is a media lover. His bitch is worse though. I hate her. Stupid spice. :f***:
Larry 23-04-2003, 06:51:AM no but if i was a pro i would sign everyones autographs
if i travel across the world to europe and united did this to me i would be pissed off...

yeah but that's what the club should be worried about, not individual players. if the club doesnt have it in its rulebook, it's the club's problem but the players'.

Sandra's brother is called John.
John's girlfriend is the one in the picture. :)
m3th0d 23-04-2003, 10:00:AM boy, wasn't that a mouth full!
anyway, thanks for clearing that up for me.. :crazyboy:
Laziomania 23-04-2003, 10:13:AM I think that it is their choice to respond or ignore the fans!
Bobby 23-04-2003, 10:30:AM Now we know why they were booed at Old Trafford.
m3th0d 23-04-2003, 10:43:AM man, who cares if u talk to yer fans or not.. imagine yer fans followin' u around 24/7 constantly stalkin' u and asking for pictures and autographs..... don't know about u, but i'd go fuqin' nutzo!
becks is the only one conversin' with the fans cuz he loves the attention cuz he's a media whore.. and the rest of the team are bouncin' on outta there cuz they're jealous he's a pretty boy and gets all the attention :crazyboy: anyway, i bet more than half the man u fans in the madrid airport were bitches that wanna lick beckham's sack, rofl
fender 23-04-2003, 12:13:PM I have first hand experience on United at airports. I was at an airport when they left once and Beckham ignored the fans just walking by. Giggs was nice enough to look, smile and wave when i called to him. Ferguson's the best, he came over to sign an autograph for me.
mhflierman 23-04-2003, 12:24:PM Look it's part of the job, looking after the fans. But sometimes you just don't feel like it. That happens, get over it. Where were ManUtd coming from anyway? They played at home this weekend and are playing at home against Real today again.

They earn their Big bucks for their performances on the pitch....it is the media that makes celebrities. I don't footballers are obliged to talk or sign autographs for fans...remember some players are more used to public relations than others....
briggzy 23-04-2003, 12:39:PM I have heard shearer given crap for 'not being' to happy wen fans ask him for autographs, but atleats he does it. Unlike SOME ppl who just ignore the fans who have probley just flown over to madrid themselves on a much crapper plane than ManUre's private jet.

no ****?
no one watches them = no one buys the tickets, club merchendise, and TV rights... they don't get sponsors, clubs go bankrupt and our big stars are un-employed.

I aint a west ham fan, but by all means get well soon Roeder... just thought i'd get that out my system.
And in west ham go down, and actually keep there players which i dont think they will, then i hope they bounce back into the prem.
Aye you would. You don't have to rake £45 out each week to see them play.
