These peoples heroes or not. If I was a footballer, the last thing I would want is being harrassed by a pesky fan for an autopgraph. There is a time and a place for stuff like this. After travelling on a two hour flight, would you be willing to talk to fans? I would not.

As arrogant as it may seem, these people actually have lives too. Why be treated different because you are more popular?

If they were piloting the plane or serving passengers I can see an excuse but when you fly first class on a jet, you should be in a decent mood.

no interest in football = no $$$

really simple, for the kind of money they earn, the least they can do is at least interact with their fans.

yeah but that's what the club should be worried about, not individual players. if the club doesnt have it in its rulebook, it's the club's problem but the players'.

I have first hand experience on United at airports. I was at an airport when they left once and Beckham ignored the fans just walking by. Giggs was nice enough to look, smile and wave when i called to him. Ferguson's the best, he came over to sign an autograph for me.

Look it's part of the job, looking after the fans. But sometimes you just don't feel like it. That happens, get over it. Where were ManUtd coming from anyway? They played at home this weekend and are playing at home against Real today again.

They earn their Big bucks for their performances on the pitch....it is the media that makes celebrities. I don't footballers are obliged to talk or sign autographs for fans...remember some players are more used to public relations than others....

I have heard shearer given crap for 'not being' to happy wen fans ask him for autographs, but atleats he does it. Unlike SOME ppl who just ignore the fans who have probley just flown over to madrid themselves on a much crapper plane than ManUre's private jet.
