View Full Version : Milan Bankrupt
Drowning-Pool 27-04-2003, 06:08:PM i started of Season 2 with a transfer budget of 44m
i bought Daniele Bonera for 20m BUT for some reason it went down as a loan from the bank and i had to 600k per month for 3 years or so, so in affect i still had 44m, then i bought a few more players but made sure i had 14m left because of that ****ING loan.
somewhere around the middle of the season one day , the receivers have taken control and are accepted any offers etc etc
like WTF, i didn't ask for a 3 yr budget payment for bonera, i wanted to pay 20m cash, WTF, and i made sure i had 14m or so transfer budget left, but the receivers claimed that too, so i dont even know how much in debt i am, looks like i'm fired, gonna have to start new season :(
voetballiefhebb 27-04-2003, 06:24:PM Sell your players. :)
Drowning-Pool 27-04-2003, 06:48:PM well i have no choice coz the receivers will accept any decent offers
i jtu wanan know why i had a transfer budget of 44m and i bought bonera for 20m BUT it went down as a bank loan for 3yrs @ 600k per month
voetballiefhebb 27-04-2003, 07:35:PM Wages. You have the big players, you have the big wages. If you want to keep your job, you need to at least hit the CL semis, win the league in order to keep decent funds, otherwise you will end up like Fiorentina. :)
Drowning-Pool 27-04-2003, 07:55:PM no man!!!! i i had a transfer budget of 44m, and i bought Bonera for 20m, but for some reason the 20m was loaned from the bank, so i had to pay the loan back in 3 years @ 600k per month, when i had 44m transfer budget and the 20m should have been deducted from the transfer budget, but instead it left my transfer budget alone at 44m and took a 20m loan from the ****ing bank!
rpvankasteren 27-04-2003, 08:02:PM Yes, a transfer budget of 40 million, but what was your bank balance? I once got a 4 million transfer budget at some club, when the bank balance was 2. And if you don't look after wages as well, your balance will drop like a stone.
Drowning-Pool 27-04-2003, 08:11:PM well which dumb Board gives the club a higher transfer budget then the bank balance? but i'm sure i had a higher bank balance than 20m, and u telling me that my bank balance had to 0 if they took a loan for the full 20m, not maybe a 5m loan and paid 15m from the bank balance
voetballiefhebb 27-04-2003, 08:14:PM I think you need to learn about finances. Fancy a game of online monopoly? :)
Look at Leeds. They have gone into admin because they spent money they never had...
Drowning-Pool 27-04-2003, 08:18:PM that true, so u're sayin the AC Milan board are bad at maths? i understand teh finances, i just didn't think any board, especially one of the stature of Milan would give their manager license to spend money the club never had
other than that, i didn't think of checking the bank balance LOL
Yellow.TL 27-04-2003, 08:21:PM the italian league is bugged ...
all the teams go bankrupt in the 2nd year or 3rd maybe because the expentures are wrongly calculated. the stadium expanses are too high or something ........
tsk tsk, milan.... bankrupt :(
Sir Calumn 29-04-2003, 06:57:PM Back to the selling point, I have noticed how hard it is to sell players aswell, even when you offer them to interested clubs for **** prices they still dont sell.
-C
rpvankasteren 29-04-2003, 08:25:PM I have offered players for zip to clubs that were interested, but they always refused...
Drowning-Pool 29-04-2003, 11:16:PM yea well i've started new game! hopefully...
also a new bug i've found, i selected the EPL and Serie A as full detail, and the Greek and Spanish leagues as background, and i started in june 2002 (greek season) and being manager of arsenal and milan, i noticed that Jeffers, Pires, Ljungberg and van Bronkhorst had no injuries???? Good for me, but bad coz i know that they're supposed to be out for a few more months
Haukur Gudnason 30-04-2003, 05:37:AM i think they included the mafia in the italian leagues...thats why money matters are not wot they seem:D
