i'm getting the same error message. i appears to be something to do with mdac (microsoft data access components). i've tried updating mdac from the microsoft site but it's not worked so far... i'll let you know if i get anywhere with this.
anyone else have any suggestions on this?

Ok, pretty sure i've got it!:D
run the Internet Explorer setup (if you don't have one, it appears on virtually every computer magazine freebie coverdisk, & of course on the ms downloads website) and choose "Minimum Installation / Customise My Browser". this should present you with a list of possible components for ie6, the only one you need to tick is "Visual Basic Scripting" or something like that, so tick that & then continue.
once this is installed the problem should be gone. i was getting it with another program too & that app now works fine, no errors. i've not tested this with CC, because i moved on to Hercules' ecp_dbi while CC was not working, & since ecp does everything i wanna do, i can't be arsed with CC anymore! but i'm pretty sure that was the root of the runtime error 430 problem.
