I said Juve won't win the first leg.But they'll be back in the second leg.
I support any italian team.I'd jump with joy if Real was knocked out.I hate it when the same team wins again and again an again...Plus,Juv were unlucky in '99.2 minutes of good defending and they'd have been holding silverware.
IceBlu 01-05-2003, 09:28:PM yeah i think Silverhawk is Spot on.
i would be pleased if Juve managed a draw in Spain. Our track record against spanish clubs is good so far.... haven't lost to Depor or Barca. Won 2, Drew 2.
if Juve do manage a draw of any sorts or even a 2-1 loss or 3-2 loss, i think Juve can finish the business in Turin.
all you people talking about 4-0 and 5-0 wins for Real are out of your mind.
This is the game i have waited for since 99 :)
I hope Juve can seek revenge (H)
FORZA JUVE !

dude...Davide Baiocco is no longer at Juve. I think hes at Piacenza now.
mark77 01-05-2003, 10:03:PM Birindelli never played center midfield in his career. Tudor will play in CM and maybe Thuram CB with Birindelli RB. That's what I think. I'll be happy with a draw in Madrid.

Punkt 01-05-2003, 11:45:PM juve will shock europe winning 0-1 in chamartin
goal from camoranesi 77 m :D
SB9Dragon 01-05-2003, 11:57:PM I'm definately siding with Real, and if they manage to get there attack flowing they will definately whip Juve, IMO 3-1:rockman:
yea Real should trash Juve
Internazionale 02-05-2003, 01:45:AM This can be another open-attacking in the field. I predict there'll be lots of goals...a draw perhaps...
Hamilton 02-05-2003, 02:47:AM I beg to differ... I think there will be very few opportunities for either team but that Real will probably take the game 1-0
djperthglory 02-05-2003, 04:59:AM well that line-up i made up was purely from my mind. i have this big juve poster with the whole team on it. and i was just making up a team. but i dont know much about birindelli thats why i put him in that position. also based on where he played, when he crossed the ball in for zalayeta to score.
oh my god!!!!!!!5-0 man u guys are crazy, the most juve have actually lost by this year is 3-0 against man u. and now some of you are saying 5-0. that is complete and utter rubbish.

Can't stop the rush... 02-05-2003, 09:22:AM YOU ARE GOING DOWN YASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D (H)
ryan_goal 02-05-2003, 09:27:AM i tip Real to go thru. if they dont it will be the first time ManU got kicked out of CL by a non-finalist side.
mufc_daddy 02-05-2003, 10:21:AM Madrid wont lose at home. I see Real winning but only just because it doesnt seem like the type of game to allow a thrashing to occur.
How many CL games is Davids suspended for?

just 1 i think.
Parra Power 02-05-2003, 01:07:PM why are there so many juve-being-thrashed predicions
real isn't unstoppable, and they will have to fight to get past juve.
alexandros 02-05-2003, 01:30:PM First of all,Real Madrid has no comparison to Barcelona,as the merengues have a much stronger and experienced team, plus this winning mentality. So,the fact that Juve managed to beat Barca doesn't mean that much.
I believe it is going to be hard for both teams,Real do have a slight advantage as they proved they can thrash any opponent on their day,but Juve is a well-organized team, solid in defence and with some hard-working midfielders. If Madrid wins the first leg, even with one goal,it will be difficult for Juve, who will have to attack, thus leaving space for the deadly Real Madrid counter-attacks.If one should bet for one team, there would always be the risk to lose money.
I vote for Madrid, though,as I believe it will be easier for them to win than for Juve-and furthermore,I fancy them scoring at least once in Turin, whereas Juve might not do so in Madrid.
northstar 02-05-2003, 01:32:PM People saying Madrid will win with such scores like 5 or 4 to nil...sort of silly IMO. Raul is not playing also.
Davids, Montero, and Tachhinardi are suspended for Juve, which is a HUGE loss as they are the starting defensive mids and centreback.
--------------------Buffon-------
Thuram----Ferrera----Tudor------Zambrotta
Camoranesi--Conte----Pesotto-----Nedved
------------Trezeguet-----Del Piero
Could see Pesotto and Zambrotta swap, or have Birindelli rather that Zambrotta there. Hard to say right now.
Madrid will play their normal lineup but have Guti start in place of Raul I think.
XJaymz 02-05-2003, 03:38:PM Mardrid will let in 2-3 goals against Juve in each leg.
They will have to score 4 or 5 themselves to win, and that is not easy agaisnt Juve.
There is no way it is going to be a something-to-nil result for Madrid. Their defence is pathetic for sucha world class team.
basicly, if Madrid score HEAPS of goals, they win, otherise they loose.
It will either be a low scoring victory for juve, or a high scoring one for madrid. Madrid will not be able to keep juve out, but Juve can do so to madrid. If madrid can't crack juve's defence, they have no hope, because juve will crack madrids. However, if juve's defence collapses, they are gone.
djperthglory 02-05-2003, 04:23:PM thanks INTERISTA for ur supportive words. i hope that your boys will play my boys at the end of this all.
RAUL OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok i didnt know that. big trouble real, big trouble.

ok i didnt know that. big trouble real, big trouble.
Yeah, he got his appendix removed or something.I hope Morientes starts. The man's got a helluvalotta talent.
I'm just praying hard that Real are knocked out but the match is exciting.
Juve-Milan(which one?!!) hopefully.
djperthglory 03-05-2003, 08:02:PM well with juve just requiring 1 pt in 3 matches all their concentration now should go towards the 2 legged affair with real madrid.
cmon juve!!!!!!!!
Rickster 05-05-2003, 01:28:PM nope i don't think real will be kicked out. but if they do ill be devastated! NOO. well awesome scoring from real even without ronaldo i still think they can do it. But they need ronaldo on the pitch for 90min when he's doin well eventhough he scores a hat trick. defense ekkks. disgusting defenders. no way roberto carlos not a defender. bring on pavon.
djperthglory 05-05-2003, 06:40:PM well guys a little more than a day to the match lets start some new predictions.
tottiiii 06-05-2003, 01:23:AM im looking for a big game from Camoranesi....hopefully he wont be intimidated being in Spain.....2-2 maybe
ko_Totti 06-05-2003, 02:31:AM I think Ronaldo won't play good. I think he just got lucky scoring a hat-trick against Man Utd. it was a good day for him, I doubt he could do it again. He had only 2 goals before his hat-trick, while Raul has like 9. So I think Madrid are going to get screwed tomorrow, a draw perhaps. I doubt a win eventhough they are at home.
Hamilton 06-05-2003, 03:00:AM LUcky? hardly luck I believe :) I believe what we saw is just a harbinger of what Ronaldo can really be when given the opportunities on a good day :)
TottiNZidaneR#1 06-05-2003, 03:17:AM Well ronaldo did get a hat trick and got a goal in the other game so he sould be in form but i think we will win it either 3-1 or 2-0.
SlayerDeuS 06-05-2003, 04:41:AM delpiero hat trick
ronaldo double
3-2 Juve
juventusita 06-05-2003, 05:53:AM To the person who said 5-0 Real... no.
Real got smashed by Mallorca recently, another sign of the horrid defense. The defense is extremely vulnerable and Juventus has the individual attackers that can exploit this. On the other hand, Real can attack, but no one can just play their game and attack full on against Juve. Nothing should surprise you at this stage, and the game will be close either way.
chatterbox 06-05-2003, 06:45:AM Real gettin crushed by Mallorca was pathetic. But I doubt u can read much into that game since I don' t know how much motivation they had for that match GIVEN THE FACT that this huge game was just around the corner. Having said that, they shouldn' t have been demolished 5-1. I don' t know if Morientes is going to up there, but instead Gutti. But Ronaldo alone is a very dangerous threat! Juventus' injuries and Davids' suspension is goina be killer, but they are a great defensive bunch so they won' t make it easy for Real even though it is in Madrid! Prediction: Juventus 1:1 Real ! What a second leg that should be from Turin next week !
chatterbox 06-05-2003, 06:59:AM Honestly, how in the world you can say that Juve is goina out score a super offense like Real I don' t think I' ll ever know! Real could consider playing Steve McManaman, a guy who would be a definite in the starting lineup of Juveh. Madrid has enough midfiedld and offensive talent to avoid being beaten....to beat Juveh, that is a different story which is why I picked a draw. Not only Davids but also Montero(Paolo)' s absence will be huge.
valioso 06-05-2003, 07:01:AM How can you say Juve is going to out score Madrid? By the simple fact that Juve has a defence and Madrid doesnt.
Juve is not going to go out to win tonight at bernabeu.. so I will say 1-0 for Madrid.. maybe... the loss of Raul is really tough for Madrid
IceBlu 06-05-2003, 07:06:AM woah ! nice to see so mcuh support for Juve (H)
im expecting a big performance from Del Piero today. Nedved will be awesome as always, but i hope DP or Trez fire !
Lippi has been watching a lot of Madrid's games over the last couple of weeks and the mastermind that he is , he'll surely have a few aces up his sleeve.
and i don't think the Bernabau is enough to intimidate Juve. They played in Rome and the Camp Nou recently which are far more daunting imo.
Real will go in favorites as always. Its gonna be a great game ! i can't wait :D !:rockman:
chatterbox 06-05-2003, 07:09:AM Man, Raul is not goina be missed when u got Gutti, Morientes and a guy named Ronaldo on ur team. Plus the loads of talent in midfield has to mean Real will be flowing for almost all the time so think about it man...it' s goina be like Nedved versus Figo, Zidane and Makelele(if he plays) , plus there are guys like McManaman, Helguera and don; t forget Solari ! I don ;t know, I SIMPLY DO NOT SEE JUVENTUS winning the first leg.
IceBlu 06-05-2003, 07:52:AM we're forgetting that Conte plays for Juve :|
he is the best replacement for Davids and is far more experienced.
ricardo 06-05-2003, 09:51:AM if i know something about this, Real Madrid will outplay Juve tonigh, that loss against Mallorca was the worst thing that could happen to Juve
the number of goals will depend a lot on the inspiration of Zidane, Guti and Ronaldo but i foresee Real having a ball possesion around 75%, and Real is not like Barça, they are dangerous with the ball
djperthglory 06-05-2003, 01:28:PM im sticking to my 1-2 result when i started this thread.
Frostwolf 07-05-2003, 05:43:AM actually passion and inspiration are a big part of football.
XJaymz 07-05-2003, 05:58:PM As much as I hate Juve, that 2nd goal of Madrids was an absolute joke. Three madrid players were on the 6 yard line, all offside, when that shot came in right through them. Although they didn't touch the ball, they are all clearly a part of the attacking play, and drew the attention of the juve defence, and buffon in goal.
Juve go home 1 goal down, but with an away goal. But really, they should be going back all square with the away goal. Juve seem the benefit very greatly from poor refering decisions in Serie A, and it seems to have come back at them in CL, because that is a 1 all game. If I were a juve fan, i would be pretty ****ing pissed off.
djperthglory 07-05-2003, 06:28:PM exactly what i am mate dont worry bout dat. im furious
