Does anyone think we should have a facemakers forum where we can share tips and write little tutorials, and of course display our work.
I think the main forum is too busy and threads dissapear very quickly.

Yes, that's a great idea Chris. I've been thinking about that too.

someone asked before, and a mod said that there aren't enough faces.

I don't think there are not enough faces. The are 10 threads about it now at page 1!!:o

Its not just or showing faces though, People who need help on making faces could go in there and ask a question and tutorials could be made as sticky threads and stuff.

I agree, cos` sometimes I find it hard to judge a player`s face character. Oval, round, square, it`s difficult sometimes. I mean how do you categorize Kezman face ? Oval, not really. Long, nope. Round, well maybe a little. So we really need a forum to teach the basic stuff. Tutorials have been made, but most of them only teach to move the points in O-Edit, but not the basic concept of how to really "catch" the player`s look . . .

Are there any mods around, can we please have a face making forum???

I think it is a very good idea, because with all that faces around the FIFA general forum has too much things in it. Also it'll be more easy to do a research only in the specific face forum (if they'll make it).
The only problem is that then people would like to have boots, rosters, flags, gameplays, balls forums... :o

This is a great ideia. Why didn't i remember this before?!?

Hope they agree and create this soon. If kits have their own section, faces must have own section too. (H)

Im not sure, kits forum ainīt super-popular, but faceforum would be a bit different :D

ChRIsA

kits have become boring now because they are all pretty much the same. Faces are totally different and take much more work and skill. I just think this would really help those that want to make faces.
I think we should be able to put threads about finished faces in the main fifa 2003 forum, but anthing else should be in a special facemaking forum.

Maybe we should have a trial period to see how well the face making forum does.

yes!!!:hump:

it should be a faces forum, besides the great facemakers that wolf pointed "Chris, Youri, Miguelito, Andy, Diego Palacios" there are others like the amazing iamjames or treelu, so i think that there are enough good facemakers that can justify the specific forum, besides i think that creating a face forum would estimulate the arrival of new face makers.

Definitely. I thought that since there is a kit forum, it would be only a matter of time before the face forum was made, seeing as faces are 10x more interesting than kits :p :D

PS: Nice to see in the face-lists people make, I'm not mentioned in one of them......:( :D
Not surprising though seeing as I tend to do about 1 decent face per month.

16 out of 20 want it so I think that says enough!

I'm for it cause it definately because suddenly face threads are exploding everywhere and it is a real hassel to look for other stuff... IMO it would be a great idea... possibly my first thread would be for one of these fantastic face creator's to make an Obafemi Martins face... overall I'm for it:)

YES, VOTE yeS!

andy

I would have to vote no on this, because we already have a different thread for Kits, now faces? We will end up having a different thread for everything, a boot thread and so on, and its not like there are many things to edit in fifa, to have a separate thread for everything...:)

andy
09-05-2003, 02:15:AM
Plus, i also like threads to move around quickly its funner that way than a thread staying in the top for 2 days, thats just my opinion:)

Hercules
09-05-2003, 02:45:AM
Exactly, that's my opinion on this as well, I don't particularly like the idea of having separate forums for everything, it's a bit excess...but I will let this continue for another day, and then I will submit this thread to the supermods.

Akash Mohan

Yeah face thread is required...:p

and I think Boot Thread is also required...:)

Bye and take care

IMO a Face Forum should be given a chance to shine and if it fails then it should be closed down, like how someone said b4... but IMO boots don't need there own thread, because seriously, if u have a Face Forum and a Boot Forum added then the FIFA 2003 Main Forum will turn into the FIFA 2004 forum, quiet with no real bustle... IMO the Face Forum should be given a test:rockman:

If not a faces forum then how about a tutorials forum? I just think people are wanting advice, and its hard to give advice in this forum.

Well who the helll cares about faces...when we have kits:rolleyes:

Hehe J/K:crazyboy:

Well there wouldnt be ANY problems for setting up face forum IMO.You could just ask Lior for this and i think he'll surely agree for it.No need for polls etc etc;)

seeing as faces are 10x more interesting than kits

Really??:D

Faces are more unique, and take a lot more work and skill than making a kit, but thats just my opinion, I used to make kits but I got very bored and turned to faces.

Youri Bakker
09-05-2003, 12:11:PM
Chris is right I think; making faces is a lot more difficult then making kits. If you make kits you only have make templates and textures. With faces you have to make a good fitting texture and you must have 3D skills if you want to make a good face. You don't need any 3d skills for making a kit.:)

And also every facemaker has his own style, kitmakers too, but with faces the difference is bigger I think. Some people make there textures with brushes, or with real photos or both. That makes a huge difference.:)

a tutorials forum? I mean ChRIsA, 2002 was a lot harder, i mean Rhino editing, and yet i came and i didn't need tutorials, i think its just practice. IMO, editing faces has gotten much much easier, that is why there is so many new people to face making...i think we should leave the things the way they are:)

Wolf

Yes. I think every facemaker should have Neovico's tutorial.. ;)

This supermod thinks that a face only forum is a little to confined...

What I can suggest for you though is a "Editors Forum" with a description along the lines of: "A forum for discussing, announcing and requesting Faces, Boots, Kits, Stadiums and other editable features of FIFA 2003"

They are related areas, have similar guys working on them (often from the same sites), and together would bring a much more viable option for a whole forum.

I realise that kitmaking is much easier than face making (I was a kitmaker for a fair bit, and i stopped because it just didnt pose much of a unique challenge....However, I think a forum covering these areas would work well..

Just a suggestion, and something that may give you much more chance of getting the forum past the Supermods ;)

If we do end up with an editor's forum, then the fifa 2003 forum would be left to rot, as everything there (most things) are faces, boots etc.
Anyway, I think it is a great idea to set up a face forum, as things would become tidier and more organised.;)

Yes, but neovico's tutorial was pretty simple, in the end i ended using my own techquine which was a lot easier, i think there is no need for tutorials....;) I think editing is pretty much common sense, at least face making:)
