View Full Version : Inter Milan v Ac Milan [R]
voetballiefhebb 13-05-2003, 09:52:PM 10 minutes until kick off.
I predict a Milan will be in the final. Heh. I'm a winner. :D
As much as Ajax should be here, I will root for AC Milan.
AC to go through on away goals.
Vazza 13-05-2003, 09:53:PM Is Vieri out, Gareth?...I think he is but I ain't sure:confused:
BúññyÉlmér 13-05-2003, 09:56:PM Evil topic cloner ;-P.
I deleted my thread, sorry about that.
match started, enjoy
FerdyKorp 13-05-2003, 09:56:PM I hope AC Milan will win,
even the kicked out ajax of the champions league:rolleyes:
voetballiefhebb 13-05-2003, 09:56:PM Uh huh.
Vieri and Coco-pops out. :D
Dida out and Abbiati in, Pirlo in for Broccoli. ;)
voetballiefhebb 13-05-2003, 10:02:PM Just a quick note, Inter have played AC Milan 3 times this season, and have not scored once.

GreeningforEng! 13-05-2003, 10:31:PM For those who believe in fate, every Champion's League game refereed by tonight's official in the past have produced no away winners
voetballiefhebb 13-05-2003, 10:37:PM Inzaghi and Gattuso just been yellow carded. ****ing sucks too. Inzaghi booked because Cordoba and Toldo are cheats and Gattuso booked for dissent.
Di Biago booked just then, so he will miss the final. :D
Caponedawg 13-05-2003, 10:39:PM Such a heated game so far. What's with Italian clubs and yellow cards?
GreeningforEng! 13-05-2003, 10:40:PM ...if Inter make the final, of course ;)
BúññyÉlmér 13-05-2003, 10:43:PM GOAL MILAAN
Caponedawg 13-05-2003, 10:43:PM GOAAAAAAAAAL
voetballiefhebb 13-05-2003, 10:43:PM AWAY GOAL!!
SHEVCHENKO!
Whooooooooo!
Off to the final now. YaY!
Caponedawg 13-05-2003, 10:44:PM man I hate Cordoba!! Playin so dirty :kader: :kader:
BúññyÉlmér 13-05-2003, 10:45:PM Inter has to score 2 ****ing goals now :P. GL GL
When the officials added the 2 minuuts off injury time i thought about the boring first half, but they scored at last, :read:
m3th0d 13-05-2003, 10:50:PM go inter! i dun like milan.. ajax should be in their place but ah well.
no vieri.. it's gonna be tough :( but i still say inter will deuce in the second half :)
xxxFLYERxxx 13-05-2003, 10:51:PM Shevchenko! what a goal.
He's actually had a bad game. He turned the ball over about 4 times. But that dont matter!
THE UKRAINIAN HERO!
BúññyÉlmér 13-05-2003, 10:52:PM Yea i also wich Ajax would be playing here now ( and would have the away goal :D ) Feyenoord also killed Inter in the Uefa Cup Semi-Finals last year so why not :P. Well i am neutral now anyway so i hope for goals =P.
voetballiefhebb 13-05-2003, 10:52:PM If Inter score before the hour mark, it will be a great game.
Seedorf's pass was superb though.
m3th0d 13-05-2003, 10:57:PM inter only had one shot on goal in the first half.......
artod 13-05-2003, 10:58:PM My nerves are collapsing... Rui Costa has played horribly, and Pirlo has performed poorly, they both missed too many passes.
Materazzi is playing great, so does Emre. I'm so scared...
voetballiefhebb 13-05-2003, 11:01:PM Dalmat and Martins on. :)
Jammy 13-05-2003, 11:15:PM I completely forgot about this game.
I'm off upstairs to watch it and play CM4. Yay the thrills of being a law abiding teenager.;)
LOCOlombia 13-05-2003, 11:22:PM why are they playing with a FIFA ball and not CL ball?
and I think the away goal rule is the dumbest thing ever...
Caponedawg 13-05-2003, 11:39:PM Goal Martins
Hamilton 13-05-2003, 11:39:PM MARTINS GOAL
#1 Stunna 13-05-2003, 11:40:PM 7 exiting minutes yet to come!! :rockman:
m3th0d 13-05-2003, 11:40:PM yess.. one more plzzzzzz
ok, the away goal rule is retarded.
Caponedawg 13-05-2003, 11:41:PM BTW, Materazzi shoudl have been sent off. Shameful kick on Shevchenko
Caponedawg 13-05-2003, 11:43:PM OMG, Inter just may win this thing. Kallon sooo close
Caponedawg 13-05-2003, 11:47:PM Last chance right here
#1 Stunna 13-05-2003, 11:50:PM this is why i prefer the Copa Libertadores, with this score they would go to penalties.
no one should be the winner if they draw.
the away goal sucks!!!
AberdeenFC 13-05-2003, 11:51:PM och this match was a disgrace, ac milan go through by an away goal from a goal scored at there home staduim..... :kader:

yes it does, especially in this case since ac milan isn't even "away" lol.
btw only 2 min for injury time? are u f'in kidding me.. it's a conspiracy man  :D
voetballiefhebb 13-05-2003, 11:53:PM Brilliance. I am chuffed. :D
Now all we need is Real Madrid to win or draw tomorrow.
It won't compensate for the **** season I have had, but it will make up for it slightly. :)
The worst case scenario now is Juventus winning. :)
mark77 13-05-2003, 11:53:PM 2 minutes extra time?
anyways congrats to Milan!

Inter should of gone for a goal in the first leg then....they lost it then. 0-0 in first leg AC had the advantage.
LOCOlombia 13-05-2003, 11:54:PM the away goal is the dumbest ever,
do away teams have any impedements to score on the other teams fields? no..either team can score. Its not like they are holding back the away team. That really needs to be changed IMHO.
#1 Stunna 13-05-2003, 11:56:PM another thing that pissed me off was when the ESPN guy said:
"And tomorrow everywhere in the world, except in the United States, the Juventus-Real Madrid game will be on..."
xxxFLYERxxx 13-05-2003, 11:58:PM AC Milan deserved to win anyway. They dominated both games. Inter only pushed in the last ten minutes.
What the hell is Materazzi doing out there? What a sorry excuse for a football player. That big dumbass should play ice hockey.

yeah, but u would think they would put both games since its only 2 of them. Man i hate American TV.:f***:
Internazionale 14-05-2003, 12:05:AM what a cracker in the last 10 minutes...At least Inter didn't lose this time. Thank you to Obafemi Martins' goal. :)
Congrats to Milan.
Besides, I'm very pleased to see Inter FC made it into the Semi-Finals CL this far. :)
rony31 14-05-2003, 12:28:AM Inter are a dirty f*cking team :kader: Cordoba and Toldo both should've been booked when they got in Inzaghi's face, but instead, Inzaghi and Gattuso get booked  Materazzi should've been AT LEAST booked after he kicked Shevchenko... Such sore losers, Inter are :kader: Anyways, nice goal by Shevchenko, even though he didn't have such a great game. I nearly shat meself in the last 10 minutes, especially with the Kallon and Cordoba chances :|
In conclusion, bring on Real or Juve, baby!!! :rockman: :D

I'm looking forward to the Real Madrid v AC Milan final already. ;)

northstar 14-05-2003, 12:38:AM Inter woke up much too late. And Im glad Milan went through, for the sake of the Final's entertainment value against Juventus. ;) :D
rony31 14-05-2003, 12:40:AM Inter showed up for about 10 of 180 total minutes :p Milan were always there, although sometimes not very effective :crazyboy:
mhflierman 14-05-2003, 12:46:AM Aye, congrats to Milan. Exciting in the last few mins...
Bobby 14-05-2003, 12:50:AM That kick to Shevchenko's thigh was the most obvious sending off i've ever seen, and not even a yellow. :nape:
Congrats to Milan tho.
LOCOlombia 14-05-2003, 01:05:AM in reality no one lost and no one won,
they drew two draws, 0 - 0 and 1 - 1.
but hey AC Milan gets the luck of the draw on this one,
good luck, against Real or Juve.

Exactly the same with Kaladze's handball. :D
xxxFLYERxxx 14-05-2003, 01:13:AM What Kaladze did was atleast somewhat intelligent. He stopped what could of been a very dangerous rush.
Materazzi is just an idiot.
yoyo913 14-05-2003, 01:33:AM both goals were mistakes
the game sucked :kader:
bertkamp16 14-05-2003, 01:39:AM What a farce!!!:kader: AWAY GOAL RULE??? WHAT AWAY GOAL RULE??? THEY PLAY IN THE SAME STADIUM!!!! For this reason alone, there should be a special exception to the rule, for teams that play in the same stadium. THis game should have went into overtime then penalty kicks...Inter were robbed...
voetballiefhebb 14-05-2003, 02:08:AM Now you see, if Inter had drawn 1-1 in the first leg, and 0-0 in the second, then it woud have been vice versa. <<-- WTF is this new emoticon anyways. The old one was better.
Cordoba crying at the end too. He felt it badly.

I wouldn't of exactly called it boring I thought it was entertaining I mean there were plenty of hard tackles and all those yellow cards in under 5mins. I really enjoyed watching it. I guess the generally english fan would find this match boring because it wasn't high scoring.:) :o

Seedorf: Don't we go to extra time?

Crespo: Please, I just want you to touch it!
Maldini: Yikes! No way! :|
ko_Totti 14-05-2003, 03:22:AM If Roma would of gone through instead of Ajax I reckon they would have been in the finals by now; after all, they did beat AC Milan just a week ago.
Plus the games would have been more interesting. The best and most interesting game so far in the CL was Ajax vs AC Milan. The rest just sucked, I hope the final won't be so boring.
rony31 14-05-2003, 03:23:AM And AC Milan beat them a few months ago, what's your point? :crazyboy:
ko_Totti 14-05-2003, 03:27:AM Roma vs AC Milan: 2-1
AC Milan vs Roma: 1-0
Would of been an interesting CL game I tell you.
LOCOlombia 14-05-2003, 03:29:AM so they are all pretty much even strengths,
Roma = AC Milan = Inter

JUVE vs AC for me.
voetballiefhebb 14-05-2003, 03:30:AM Well there you go then, judging by your two results AC Milan go through on away goals. Stopped being biased, AC Milan would have slaughtered us.
I have been impressed by Gattuso though, he's very good. :D
rony31 14-05-2003, 04:13:AM Now you notice Gattuso's good? :p Gattuso is a lion, he practically lives in the Curva Sud (Lion's Den)

The away goals rule is just bs. Extra time and penalty kicks are way more exciting.
I wouldn't say they would have slaughtered Roma, they can play good when needed. Once again, it would of been an interesting game.
Is anyone from AC Milan going to miss the final due to yellow cards or anything? I want to see their strongest side.
rony31 14-05-2003, 04:33:AM Despite Milan's 3 yellow cards against Inter, I don't think there'll be anyone suspended for the finals
Julianinho 14-05-2003, 04:51:AM Yeah!!!!!!! Forza Milano!!!

As exciting as they are, it's a horrible way to lose is penalties.
Nobody will miss the final due to suspension. Only Di Biago would have, but Inter never made it.
SB9Dragon 14-05-2003, 05:40:AM I agree the away goal is absolutely BS, even if we had one with it or not, its just not totally fair, 1-1 should equal 1-1:rolleyes: :kader:
What a match, at least there`s fight in this one. So it`s not as boring as the previous leg. Man, I`ve never seen Recoba that pissed off, it`s like he wanna kill Costacurta with that choke :D . And Materazzi should get red carded for that seems like an intentional kick to the groin of Sheva. Thank God he misses Sheva`s dick, I can`t imagine the pain Sheva would endure if it`s connected. And I laugh so hard when Toldo was yellin` at Inzaghi. The little Inzaghi got that fear look in his eyes as that big gigantic GK came at him.
IceBlu 14-05-2003, 07:10:AM im happy that Milan are thru and not Inter.
firstly lets not undermine Milan's achievement by saying stuff like "Inter were robbed".
Milan were the better side overall in both the legs. The had moer chances, they showed more intent and they played with their hearts.
Shevchenko had a great game. Had Inzaghi been in the same situation as Shevchenko , he would have gone to ground and got a penalty as it was a clear foul by Cordoba... but credit to Sheva for finishing off the chance. Great composure.
Recoba was the worst player on the pitch along with Rui Costa. Why was Recoba playing a deeper role when Inter had 5 in the midfield ?! Crespo hardly got any service.
As for that Inzaghi-toldo incident.....it was Cordoba's boot that caught Toldo and Inzaghi had all the right to challenge for the ball.
And Inter kept doing nothing until the last 15 mins till it was too late. Having said that i thought Kallon had scored for Inter but luckily for Milan it didn't go in. God did they miss Vieri ! Cordoba was in tears after the game and who can blame him. Its hard to lose once u have come so far in the competition. But i guess Cuper is pretty much used to that :p
Martins has SOOOOO much potential. Its hard to imagine what heights he could reach in a few years.
Ancelotti was right when he said that he sympathises with Cuper as he would be in the same situation had Milan lost.
The away goals rule is harsh in these circumstances but i don't think that UEFA could have done anything about it. I was hoping it didn't go down to that and thats exactly what happened. But Milan deserved it.

didnt inter eliminate valencia because of the away goal? I am sure you were not complaining then...
Parra Power 14-05-2003, 09:23:AM for those people complaining about the away goal rule, it was always going to be used. do you think milan would have been defending that much if there was no away rule.
btw, if inter wants to win, they really need more than two chances
and another thing, wats with inter. wats with playing so dirty?
zul-aid 14-05-2003, 09:35:AM This was me during the game:
INTER INTER INTER INTER INTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh ****
AC AC AC AC AC AC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:p good game better than the first one imo, however also imo even though there were 3 teams in the Semi's Italian football seems to be in some form of slump - I doubt it has to do with Talent but really can Milan's team play so badly like they did in the first one?
XJaymz 14-05-2003, 03:15:PM I don't like the away goal at the best of times, but how it works in this situation is just bull****.
And I said this yesterday, and before the fist leg, so its not just sour grapes. I would rather it had inter lost 1-0, as that would have been legitimeate.
And I think it may be time for Cuper to go. The ultra conservative style just doesn't work. Its fine against poorer teams (whom inter have dominated this year) but against quality opponents, it doesn't work. Inter were in control in the second half. Why? Because they started playing attacking football. Either Cuper should realise some of the weapons he has, and play more attacking, or Moratti should get rid of him.
One thing of good to take away from the game, Martins. 18 year old sensation. Is he THE next big thing in world football. He os only going to beter, stronger, more experianced and (incredibly so) faster (sprinters don't peak until late 20's). Plus with Adriano still an Inter player whilst at Parma, Inter's future looks strong.
But I still maintain that the away goal situation was stupid in this SF, and I would still be saying that even if it was us who benefited.
ShearerM4 14-05-2003, 03:53:PM Great that AC got thru .... only shame is that the Away goal rule actually decided it .. thats just poor, but anyway the right result came out anyway

well it dosen't matter if Inter eliminated Valencia cause of the away goal, its total BS. I feel bad for Valencia too, they shouldn't have been eliminated cause of that.
valioso 14-05-2003, 06:00:PM the away rule has been in place for a long long time... I dont think there is anything wrong with it, because it rewards the teams that go out of their stadium and try to get a goal..
