This might be a little off topic, but it seems as if others on the FFEd message board don't have any info. on this subject.I just downloaded and ran FFEd99 (the FIFA 99 Editor. I edited all players on the Chicago team to max. abilities. It worked the first run through. However, ever since running this editor, I cannot even start FIFA99 anymore. I have uninstalled FIFA99 and re-installed it with the same results. Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know how to fix this problem??? Any help is much appreciated.

HEY KID,
you ought to provide more info. Did you receive a message when you ran the game?
My immediate guess is that Fed had/has nothing to do with it. If there was a message(state it).
Off the top of my head I think it has to do with directx (specifically direct draw).
Provide more info and i'll try my best to assist.

Well, the specs for my system are as follows:
AmdK (PII equiv.) 400MHz, 128MB ram, 12.7GB HD w/ 7GB available, 40X CD Rom. From looking at my direct X specs, I have: Direct3D (Version 4.06.02.0436) DirectX 6; DirectDraw DirectX 6; DirectInput (Version 4.05.01.1998) DirectX 5; DirectPlay DirectX 6; and DirectSound DirectX 5. When I experience the crash the game runs fine until I get to the screen to select which team I want to control. I do not recieve any error messages at all. Instead, the arrow cursor starts blinking, and will not let me select anything within that screen; so I have to reboot the whole system. The thing is this, that this game worked before installing the editor, and just wonder why it doesn't work now. I hope I provided enough info. Thanks again for any assistance with this problem.

Kid,
that's tough. I'll have to think a day about that. For now i'll say something simple, like uninstall Fed.. And maybe you should try a patch and hope it runs with it. Esp is a great choice as it writes over that opening screen and then you'll know if that file is the problem. I doubt i'll be able to help though, because on the few occasions that problem arose with me. The reboot worked. I'll discuss with my mates and get back to you. Sorry!!!
