View Full Version : NEW Challenge <this time monthly> - IDEAS?
Sir Calumn 18-05-2003, 03:41:PM Myself and Liam have started to think about a new challenge. It's still gonna be a bit away but if you have any ideas for a good challenge (monthly this time) or suggestions for rules or anything else for that matter, please post here.

run4783 18-05-2003, 06:32:PM Are you guys going to take into consideration the CM4 and CM01/02 groups with the challenge? Since, some people don't have CM4.
Thanks,
Nick
voetballiefhebb 18-05-2003, 07:25:PM CM4 and CM01/02 are very different.
How about attempting to get Sampdoria or Fiorentina back into Serie A?
Sir Calumn 18-05-2003, 08:29:PM The challenge may only be officially attempted on CM4, although there will be no restrictions on which enhancement packs are used.
If you want to put something together for CM01/02 in the Older CM Games forum, please feel free.

Parra Power 19-05-2003, 12:18:PM fiorentina, or GAIS in switzerland (H)
Ebonix 19-05-2003, 03:10:PM I'll manage one for a CM01/02 as well as the CM4.
I would like to do a challenge on both of them, I'll post a thread in there in a mo
man united forever 24-05-2003, 02:08:PM I had mentioned the Indian League earlier. Maybe we can take Salgaocar or Air India to the Asian Champions' League(The strongest teams are Mohun Bagan and East Bengal).
Sir Calumn 25-05-2003, 10:07:PM I reckon it should be the Indian or Japanese or Korean league or something like that.
It will start in about 2 weeks time I expect.

wait on, why not make it a more well known league, that will encourage more people to play it in my view. I'd rather play one from a respectable counrty instead of one where i couldnt even name one team from.
TROD.
Ebonix 18-06-2003, 03:22:PM Well its more the fact of trying to get it so that no players would want too join your team.
I see what youe mean though, the Union Berlin game was very successful I thought.
We will take it into consideration (H)
yeah! i have proved that i am not compltley thick. lol
TROD.
Sir Calumn 19-06-2003, 08:03:PM Perhaps we should start with a low division English team?
-C
hunttherock 20-06-2003, 07:49:AM I think Brighton Hove or any 2nd Div English club to be taken to Premiership should be a good option(H)
maybe a LITTLE lower than that, a div 3 team? or Rotherham. lol
TROD.
Ebonix 20-06-2003, 08:52:PM Definetly Confrence
Forest Green>?
rony31 20-06-2003, 09:29:PM how bout some crappy lower league italian team? :p
Sir Calumn 21-06-2003, 02:21:AM If it was the Conference, I would say Dover.

PSVFOREVER 21-06-2003, 08:06:PM Try a challenge with the club of my home town, MVV! They are REALLY bad and are in financial problems. I just can't get promoted with them!
They play in the dutch first division
Stotty 05-07-2003, 07:02:PM how about halifax!!!!!!!! they are bad, in the conference, and in debt!
Seán D 06-07-2003, 10:47:PM how bout Bradford or someone like that. Maybe even Leeds
Ebonix 07-07-2003, 03:15:AM Maybe even Leeds :|
marc_angelus 07-07-2003, 04:17:PM how about you take control of Man Utd, release ALL their players on free's and then try and win the league. It'd be a challenge to see who could rebuild a whole squad with £23mil

The problem with that is that you still have the good reputation and you can still attract the best players
Parra Power 07-07-2003, 05:07:PM it might be a bit easy at the start, but........ florentia viola.
very good from a storytelling point of view :S
marc_angelus 07-07-2003, 05:30:PM hmm well after you'd released all your players, and paid off their contracts, you wouldnt really be able to afford to attract any top players, you'd have to make do with lots of loaners and free transfers.. might be interesting, although i'd hate to see man utd without all their players :(
Parra Power 11-07-2003, 01:38:PM any decision or anything? should i start a new game or wait for the challenge?

Pavel_Uotsital 12-07-2003, 06:04:PM win the Chempions league or th UEFA cup whit israeli club (Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi tel aviv)
rony31 20-07-2003, 08:04:PM well, in CM01/02, I wanted to try out the MLS, so I decided to take the team with the youngest average age, which happened to be the worst team in the MLS, Tampa Bay (:/) helping them win is a pretty good challenge
Stotty 11-08-2003, 09:13:PM how about getting leeds to win a match:D ;)
wheres calumn doing WE liam?
btw, i would do Telford, good challenge.
TROD.
PSVFOREVER 12-08-2003, 12:50:AM The challenge of Bournemouth isn't a big success, is it?
