It's gotta be tough for him...I personally want to see him challenge for, and win the number 1 shirt if David leaves.
bjmenge 24-05-2003, 09:03:AM I like Taylor a lot too. Another young talent at Arsenal who deserves a real chance. Could become the next Seaman, but we will only find out if he is given a chance to play.
PaPaGeorGeo 24-05-2003, 10:22:AM Its tough for him because we are challenging for EPL Champions League etc. So we need a world class keeper. And he isnt quite there yet So we need someone to fill the hole
Vazza 24-05-2003, 12:28:PM I think Talyor deserves his chance...I mean look at Casillas (sp?) at Real...made his CL debut at 18 or something and hasn't looked back since.
Larry 24-05-2003, 01:26:PM definatly not with hair like that..... :o
Amika 24-05-2003, 01:36:PM i sure think he deserve a chance...

My thoughts as well, and you know how us fans get,if he starts to make howlers everyone will go on about us not getting an experienced keeper, maybe unless he puts in outstanding performances like casillas, his best game imo was against mancity but we had a hefty victory so im not sure how much you can read into that.Must be hard for him esp since he played fairly often last season, but seaman's still an enigma for anyone at arsenal+the pressures on the team to compete&deliver, players comin up through the ranks are a romantic story but risky esp for teams like arsenal.

When he plays in the first team he will be able to afford the hair dressers bill

Exactly. Taylor could be another one just like Casillas. But he's gotta play to find out.
PaPaGeorGeo 25-05-2003, 08:25:AM Thats a big risk if he turns out crap we will have to wait our till jan to get a new keeper and this could cost us the title
Bobby 25-05-2003, 08:36:AM Well, not really...we do have Rami Shaaban.
PaPaGeorGeo 25-05-2003, 08:42:AM We havent really seen much of him. I just hope we get Rustu then we'll be fine he is one of the best keepers ive seen
Bobby 25-05-2003, 08:48:AM He was good, kept a few clean sheets when David couldn't go. Got a broken leg in a Christmas Eve practice match.

Taylor got clean sheets during the last season??
I think the most he got was 1, and that is exactly why Wenger is looking at other keepers to come in and do a job instead of sticking Taylor between the sticks.
Bobby 25-05-2003, 08:55:AM It was Shaaban, i know he has one league clean sheet, and one aginist PSV Eindhoven in the CL.
