just a question. the la liga season hasnt finished yet, but the champions league spots have already been decided? because celta are on 57 points while valencia is on 56, and it's still only matchday 35.

I'm not sure that's right, because I heard somewhere that Celtic's run in the Uefa Cup this season has earned the Scottish Premierm League an automatic qualifying place in the group stage

The new CL format is ****e.

Sky purchased the right to air live matches did'nt they? I have Sky, however, I am concerned about the forever-growing sports which you have to pay for to watch. It's not fair on people. IF £106 T.V license was not enough, others will have to pay more just to watch live footy. It's ****ty really.

How long until Coronation Street becomes a PPV?

What? Russian teams will have to go the QL stage both? And that's after Lokomotiv reached the 2nd stage? Even Greece has way better places:kader: :kader: :kader: . That's not fair.:f***:

Spartak Moscow are not in it!!!!!! HAHAHA!!! Finally they will stop embarassing russian football in CL!:D

That's not fair.:f***: It might not seem fair, but Uefa determine how many places each national league has in a ranking system which is determined by the performance of the domestic teams in European competition as well as the performance of the national team, so Russia's lagging performances at the World Cup didn't do you the greatest of favours and Celtic's Uefa Cup run has earned an extra qualifying place for the Scottish Premier

With Benfica in the Q3 phase, it will be cool. And if they go in, I hope Camacho leads Benfica to the European title, in our centenary year :D

Coming back to Earth, I think the new CL system benefits those who will play in the summer competitions (EURO's or World Cups). They don't get much tired, as we have seen last year in Japan and Korea. We saw at least 18 teams with their players at 40% of their condition or even less! That's the reason some outsiders got where they got (South Korea, Senegal or USA).

not sure yet ... Monaco are in a little trouble ... money wise they are in debt. Even though they have finished 2nd in the League they might get relegated to Div 2
Final Decision to be made May 28th

Personally I m hoping they do drop down ... not cos I dont like Monaco but because Bordeaux are sitting nicely in 4th and would go into CL
reviving my hopes of dream fixture Newcastle U vs Bordeaux

Help?

This is really bad and not fair. Why the hell did they change from the Champions league into the big teams competition in first place? Now the teams from like Switzerland and Israel for example have to work their butt off, just to play there, while others can finish 4th and still be in it. If it's a CL than let only the champions play and not runner-ups being automatically qulified and the chmapions form other countries have to play from the Q1:kader: .
