well, it's obvious that someone's jealous that he wasn't in the final... is it just me, or does this guy's team never win anything? won squat with Inter, currently winning squat with Real

well.. a lot of people think the game was pretty boring.. I actually know people that fell asleep during parts of the second half.. it was exciting for you because your team was in it.. but for people that just watch it because we are soccer fans.. it wasnt much to write home about

We were just sitting up home on our lazy butts and saying that it was a boring final while the players actually played in it so I don' t think that we should be complaining about it cause we don' t know what it was like to play at that level in such a massive game.

By the way, Ronaldo' s words should be put up on the Real Sociedad bulletin board and be used as motivation to win all their remaining games and DESTROY Ronaldo' s confidence.

And surely he's doing even better at Real than anyone imagined.

It always amazes me, being an Arsenal fan, how fans take simple comments and spin them to be cockiness and arrogance.

He called it ugly and boring. And then said his team plays the best 'football', but somehow his team didnt make the final. Sounds like retarded comments to me, I dunno about you. Why cant he just say 'It was not the best game, but not the worst'
Its his choice to say such things, but its also our right to give him crap for saying them.

Well... Juve vs Madrid wasn't boring.

I think it is most interesting to watch Italian team vs a team from another country. Juve knew AC Milan very well and they knew how they play so thats why it was 0-0.

BTW, Ronaldo shouldn't talk... Brazil vs Germany final was very boring....

The difference between us sitting at home watching the game and the players playing is a FEW LIGHT YEARS......this is far too big for ME to have the GUTS to say that the players played a BORING GAME...decent maybe, but never boring. I know they make millions of dollars to kick a ball and some may not consider it fair but they are humans and are bound to do what they need inorder to win and NOT TO LOOK GOOD in the process.

They get paid millions and they can't even manage to play a good game in the FINAL of the champ's league.

Wouln' t you have to play in a game at Old Trafford to say that you had fun? I mean sitting at home watching a 5-4 game cannot be fun right? It would be interesting to watch but can u call it fun?

quite honestly I think Real Madrid DID play the most interesting football out of all of the teams in the CL this season...

Can you say the 4-3 Manutd/realMadrid game was less exciting than the CL final?

Case closed :P

The CL final was 2 Italian teams who knew each other really well... i dont think anybody should have been expecting a high scoring game. And yes the Madrid/ManU 3-4 game was more exciting :rockman:

LOL

Ronaldo thinks his team do the best football in the world, so he said that.
Ronaldo thinks the Champions League final Juve-Milan was **** so he said "the final was ugly and boring"
One month ago in OldTrafford ManU 4 Real Madrid 3 with Hat-trick of Ronaldo. If anyone of you all any day score a hat-trick in a champions league match vs Manchester United, then start to call Ronaldo fag and arrogant bastard... Yesterday Milan 0 Juventus 0 in a uber-**** match. Of course yesterday Ronaldo Rememberd ManU vs R.Madrid with both teams doing the best football of Europe (i think that deserved to be the final of this year). Manchster United got all my respect with his "football attack" althought they did not won the quarter final.

And dont say Ronaldo must stfu, cause he played vs Juventus just 45 minutes, and then 35 minutes in Delle Alpi being injured, and he scored a goal and a Montero did a penalty over him.

whats the matter? he is just being honest, is his oppinion and i dont think he is saying something arrogant.

When Ronaldo joined Real Madrid everyone started to say that Ronaldo was **** , that was fat, that Ronaldo wasn't able to become the Ronaldo of PSV,Brazil, Barcelona and Inter. But Ronnie worked hard and actually closed all that mouths saying **** over him.

Titles? this season he already won Intercontental Cup, reached semifinals of champions league and is fighting for the spanish league. In Barcelona he won Cupwinners cup and the Spanish Cup. Not very bad for only 2 years in the spanish league

At least this season Ronaldo deserve my respect.

And about Real Madrid, this season i dont know if they are doing nice football, but what i can say is that since i follow Real Madrid they have the most spectacular players and to see playing Zidane Ronaldo Raul Figo they all together is like to be in heaven, who cares titles? Real Madrid got more titles than any club in the world. Every match of Real Madrid the Stadium is FULL, 86.000 tickets sold every match (its ****ing imposible to get a ticket :f***: )

Now find better arguments to throw **** over Real Madrid , meanwhile i will be watching and enjoying players like Zidane, Raul and Ronaldo :)

relax man, the game was ok. the first half good, second one crappy. a 0-0 for a final is pretty wack, and look at them PK takers.. awful.
obviously, a final with real vs ac milan would have been better, and by far.

Ronaldo should of played better against Juventus, so he should shut his mouth.

ay, he's right. it was a boring and uneventful final.. but he should've proven that real was the better team by beating juve instead of talking all this smack AFTER they lost.. it just makes him look stupid, unprofessional and really cocky. he can talk the talk but he's also gotta walk the walk and show everyone what he thinks is true.

Well ofcourse he would say that, because he plays there.

I still think Ajax and Arsenal both played better football to watch

And thats coming from a united/feyenoord fan

C'mon guys cut him some slack.
The CL final is really boring isnt it? I can only remember the 1st half and the penalty kicks.
Ronaldo hasn't won **** woth real because this is his first season . At least wait till the season ends as he can still win the la liga. Wasn't he injured when he played Juventus? So saying he should play better is bull****, he won a penalty for Real anyway. I blame Del Bosque for the loss. Ronaldo did win the Uefa cup with Inter so he did something forr his clubs. Just check his records, every season he plays when fit, he is either top scorer or near the top. That's why he's the best palyer in the world (H)

If the CL was judged on 'pretty' football then we should have judges on the sideline like in figureskating giving their scores for technical merit and presentation... :(

antithesis
30-05-2003, 01:21:PM
so you dont think Crusad3r stat merit a comment.
Given that they qualified "early" for the quarterfinals we can cut them some slack, but they haven't won a game since just about the halfway stage of Group2!!

That's an incredible statistic.
I am not knocking Milan, they won it without any controversy (not even the Dida thing, because a GOALKEEPER should be allowed to do whatever he wants in my opinion. They already red card defenders for the simplest foul, so why not give the keepers a decent chance to save).
Back to point....... it just begs a question that a team should not go winless for seven games and win the most important trophy in Club football.

Well to be fair, you made a mistake there.
it was Milan 3 Ajax 2. and the first 2 matches were in the group stage, and we know how dumb that gets when the team allready knows it has advanced.

Fitting Milan won it on penalties I guess, they couldnt get it done in normal time for most of the knockout stage. :P ;)

What's retarded about that!? Can't the guy say the truth? That was a boring and ugly game, and those who disagree should watch Real Madrid play. Come on, Ronaldo, Figo, Zizou, Raul, Makelele, Roberto Carlos, Guti, etc. Looking back, the last team I recall with an equal line-up in terms of value was... AC Milan, on the early 90's.
But the best thing about Madrid is that they can actually PLAY as a team. When they're all on form, Real produces some of the best football I've ever seen, so I guess Ronaldo just told the truth.

And I'd rather hear a retarded truth than a normal lie. ;)

Actually, he won the game for Real this season the night real beat Club Olimpia 2-0 for the European/South American Cup.(Actually the same ground the WC 2002 Final was played).

If he joined Madrid(Before August 30th) a little earlier he would've had the European Super Cup under his belt aswell, nevermind.

Why is everyone blaming Milan for the lack of entertainment in the final? They created most of the chances in the game, but due to a good Juventus defence (and some incredible saves by goalkeeper Buffon), they were unable to score.
Juventus', on the other hand, did not create more than two or three really big chances, which is ridiculous considering the players they fielded up front.

Of course Milan and Juventus didn't play the highly entertaining type of football that we saw in the games between Real Madrid and Man Utd. Both teams are far too good for that. Say what you want about entertaining football, but my opinion is that if you let in five goals in two games against the same team, you don't deserve to win ****, especially when this team is so bad that you were able to score six goals against them. I am not terribly impressed by the performances of Ronaldo, van Nistelrooy and all the other attackers who took part in these two games, even if they did score a lot of goals. Why? Because they weren't exactly playing against the best defenders in the world. For a player like Zidane, it is a lot easier to look good when he doesn't have players like Nesta and Maldini denying him space to move as soon as he comes within 20 metres of the penalty box. Although Real Madrid's style of play often looks really good, you have to consider that they are playing against mediocre defences (compared to the Italian ones).
Now if Ronaldo had managed to score a hat trick against Milan or Juventus, I would've been impressed...
