28' Beasley (CHI)
47' Ralph (CHI)
59' Roner (SJ)
81' Razov (CHI)
90' Beasley (CHI)
Man of the Match: DaMarcus Beasley
Attendance: 7,410 :(
Great game, it was a lot more even than the scoreline suggests. San Jose were ripped off on two bad calls - first a no-call as Bocanegra fouled Lagos in the penalty box, then a clear offside not given on Fire's third goal. But overall, Chicago deserved to win and were in control of the game. Solid play out of everyone today, especially Beasley. Bocanegra, Curtin, Perez, Brown were all solid at the back, Mapp made some good runs on the right. Armas and Pause were solid in the center midfield. Damani Ralph had a great game, he looked dangerous every time he touched the ball. He has the potential to be a great forward. Razov had a good game too. Beasley scored what could possibly be the goal of the week, and was a thorn in San Jose's side throughout the match.

I haven't seen a linesman's call that bad since World Cup 2002. :o
That goal certainly ended San Jose's attempts to tie or win the game, but you have to go back even farther than that. Agoos had a terrible clearance to set up Ralph's goal. Might as well give him an assist on that one. And that was the goal that put the game out of reach for the Quakes.
tottiiii 01-06-2003, 02:31:AM yea...they were trying to blame the goalie but he couldnt do that much.....agoos basically should of just done a little drop pass to set up chicago

I wouldn't say that. He just lacked the support he needed from his teammates. But it wasn't his best game either.

Man of the Match: Preki (probably)
Attendance: 10,312 :(
For once, it was KC coming back from behind to tie a game, and not the other way around. How about Preki, 40-years-old and now has 6 goals, 3 assists in 9 games. Amazing. The way things are going he might get called up to the national team again.

Two matches every week:
- Saturday 3:00 PM CT, ESPN2
- Saturday 6:30 PM CT, FSW
You really should watch it, the quality has really improved and this year there have been some matches (like San Jose - Chicago today) that are not too far from top European leagues' quality. Just make sure you don't watch any DC United matches.

LA are now 0-4-4 for the year. This is reminiscent of the Lakers and how they began their season. But will the Galaxy fight their way back to the top? Well, if they are they're going to need Ruiz to stay away from suspensions and injuries, because as we saw in the Colorado game, they are ****e without him.
